Family hotel choice
The staff are courteous and provide good service. The Easter activities are very festive and suitable for children. The whole family had a great time. The Seaview room is large and beautiful...it has a bathtub, a children's toilet and a footrest. The terrace is very big, the view is beautiful, and there is a mosquito repellent machine in the room which is very considerate... I especially like Easter egg hunting. After playing, I have a small gift in exchange for it, so I can continue playing in the shark playground... at the same time Make a Butterfly Butterfly collage bag making activity, it is fun and the finished products are beautiful and practical.... The swimming pool has slides and there are enough and responsible lifeguards, so you can play with peace of mind....
Be the first to ReplyHighly recommended. Unique setting.
Unique setting in Hong Kong: many rooms with beautiful sea view and spacious surroundings. Conveniently close to a piazza with supermarket and many restaurants that complement the hotel’s. Right next to the public beach with fine sands. Family friendly with lots of amenities for children. Restaurant staff were very helpful and meticulously attentive with realistic recommendations and responses to food allergy needs. Room staff provided comprehensive amenities for a baby other than just a crib. The doors between the connecting rooms were dusty, but were cleaned upon request. Very pleasant experience from website reservation to checkout.
Be the first to Reply2 days and 1 night accommodation in Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel
Almost every summer, my family goes to the Gold Coast Hotel in Hong Kong. It has a shuttle bus and is very convenient. In summer, I want sunshine and beaches, and I don’t want to be limited to swimming in the swimming pool. This hotel meets the requirements. The best thing is the location of the hotel. , I feel far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Not far from the hotel, there are shopping malls convenient for shopping and eating. The hotel staff are friendly and friendly, making me feel at home. There are many more facilities and activities than before, and every year There are different themed activities. It is a very proactive hotel. I have to mention their buffet dinner, which is really special. In addition to the diverse delicacies indoors, there is also barbecue delicacies outdoors. It is highly recommended. A good place to stay and spend money in Hong Kong.
Be the first to ReplyA very nice Easter Holiday in HONG KONG
it was very good experience. The staffs of HK Gold Coast Hotel is very nice and helpful. The hotel provided a lot of Easter activities, which kept my children entertained all day long. There are a large number of restaurants in the hotel and nearby shopping malls, which can fully satisfy the tastes of different guests.
Be the first to ReplyA very nice hotel for family.
My family and I like the peaceful environment and the amazing seaview in the balcony which make us feel really relax. The staff of the hotel are nice and helpful, especially the shuttle bus driver who shows care for the aged. We had a great time here.
Be the first to ReplyService Level Dropped but the Manager was very professional and helpful
Over the years we have had great experiences at Gold Coast and this is our third visits in recent years. However, we are disappointed this time. We arrived at around 3:30pm (past normal check in time) but we needed to wait for 90 mins to get one of our rooms. After dinner we came back to the room but noticed that it was filled with cigarette smell (not sure if the smell was from next door or if the effects of air refreshener waned). We notified service center but was told that cigarette smell could happen (?!) We were unlucky as the room next door made a lot of noises in the corridor at night also. On our second day of breakfast we weren’t allowed to sit at the very same table we sat at the previous day, as we were told by the cafe staff that the table was for a party of six. Surprisingly another family of four came right after and took the same spot. The only difference between us was the language we spoke. The staff could have come up with all sorts of excuses afterwards but we did feel discriminated against. I have always had great experiences with hotels run by Sino Group (Fullerton Ocean Park is particularly good) and I reflected my concerns to the hotel’s manager Ms. Kung. She was very patient in listening to our concerns, offered remedial solutions, as well as suggested how her staff should have reacted in the first place. By speaking with her, our frustration level has greatly reduced and we will still potentially return given the facilities here are really suitable for young kids. However, we were rather take aback by how some of the staff handled the situations.
Be the first to ReplyI didn’t expect this !!!
I was only here for 1 night with my wife as it was a surprise night away from my wife to me but I certainly won’t forget my stay here for all the right reasons. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in several countries this one tops them all. Looks amazing on the inside & a “to die for” view from my room window, I felt like I was back in Monaco again. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough it’s as good as it gets.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic and fun!
Booked a 3D2N between 29 and 31 July to celebrate three birthdays in one go. I was expecting this relatively ‘aging’ hotel to have outdated decor everywhere, but I was so wrong. The overall architecture and interior still stand the test of time, and everything that can be refurbished has been refurbished. The lobby was both grand and exotic, spacious and tropical-like at the same time. The coconut and palm trees in the surrounding make it feel very much like a Thai resort/hotel. The Premier Seaview Room with Balcony is so roomy that it could fit at least four single bed, so there is room for even running round. The balcony is great for sunset appreciation. There was a slight problem with the bathtub drain stopper as it could not open to drain the water, but a spoon did the job. BTW, this is so far the only hotel I have visited that has a fridge that works properly. Dinner buffet was a pleasant surprise. Apart from the usual seafood that most hotel buffets offer, Café Lagoon has many nostalgic local Hong Kong snacks and desserts. Fun is not a word that usually collocates with buffet, but it does at Café Lagoon. Food quality ranged from above-average to high. Weekend dinner buffet even serves suckling pigs! Breakfast buffet at Café Lagoon also shows how logistics is carefully thought out. Other than the café itself, the nearby Chinese restaurant Yue and the lobby café area on the ground floor are also used to accommodate the patrons. Impressive! Staff were quick to clear used plates from tables and were always friendly. On day 1, we were unlucky because we only had five minutes to enjoy the outdoor pool before the thunderstorm warning was issued, but the beach was just 10m away, and we settled for some beach time as backup. On day 2, we finally truly broke the curse and had the chance to enjoy some swimming pool time (had not been able to use any swimming pools for our last 4-5 hotel staycations due to, well, thunderstorm warnings). Kids enjoyed the water slides very much, and it was great that life-jackets were available in large numbers so that parents need not worry about not bringing their own. The only thing that needs to be improved is the long waiting time to scan LeaveHomeSafe QR code before entering the pool. Outside the pool, there are also many water fun sprinklers where young children can play together. In short, there are multiple options in case of bad weather. There are also many in-hotel activities for hotel patrons. There is a children’s playroom (paid by the session with multiple keen staff safeguarding your children’s safety), a gym, some board games for free rental, large outdoor international chessboard, as well as free farm tours. There is also a large outdoor parking-meter car park right outside the hotel, the Gold Coast Piazza right beside the hotel with cafes, restaurants and a large supermarket. Simply put, one does not need to go far to gain access to everything needed. Overall, our stay in this hotel resembles a real getaway experience.
Be the first to ReplyLovely relaxing stay at Gold Coast Hotel
My wife and I stayed from mid-February to early March. The hotel kindly upgraded us to a balcony room, which we really appreciated. The room was a good size with a very comfortable king bed and quality bedlinen. Bathroom had a bath with shower and also a separate walk-in shower. The housekeeping service was excellent and were quick to replenish items when needed. Toiletries are of good quality. The room was very clean. The only slight problem was the air conditioning, which did not seem able to cool the room very much (which was needed, particularly as the room faced south and the sun streamed in through the large balcony doors). The maintenance people did manage to improve it a bit. We dined in all the restaurants and can recommend them all. Fantastic buffet breakfast every morning in Cafe Lagoon, lots of choice, freshly cooked Chinese items and eggs to order. Good coffee and a very friendly and attentive assistant manager (Holex, thank you). A couple of robots which remove used crockery and utensils were quirky and amusing. Prime Rib restaurant has a good menu and is reasonably priced, as is the Satay Inn. Yue Chinese restaurant downstairs is very good indeed. The atrium and lobby is magnificent without being overwhelming. We like the various green initiatives that Sino Group are pursuing, including filtered water machines on each floor where guests can refill water bottles, saving thousands of plastic bottles. The staff, without exception, were all friendly and extremely helpful. All the senior and guest-facing staff spoke excellent English. The hotel is showing its age in one or two places (we remember it being built in the 80's) but despite that it is in a lovely, peaceful (for Hong Kong) location with great views and the gardens are lovely. There is a small shopping centre with various restaurants by the marina a five minute walk away, very handy. Public transport is plentiful. We love the Gold Coast and it was so nice to stay in such a comfortable and welcoming place. We are looking forward to staying again.

Special thanks to Front Desk Gottfrid, Dan. Also, Satay Inn Kenny. They are very nice. I and my family very enjoy the period we stay. Will come back to stay again! 另外一讚陶瓷班職員小姐,很有耐性教小朋友做陶藝。希望下次再體驗造麵包!

Great room, great view, good value for money. 24 hour in room dining menu with lots of options. Delighted with gluten free options as I cannot eat gluten. Nice area, beautiful beach nearby, hotel grounds very well kept by gardeners
Be the first to ReplyHave always wanted to stay at this Hotel
This hotel is a go-to hotel for Hong Konger staycations as well as foreign travellers who know the area. It has a beautiful sea view and is walking distance to the beach. I have frequented their tasty and varied hotel buffets. Check-in was efficient with friendly front desk staff. Built in the early 90’s, the Gold Coast hotel is rather dated. I found that the bathtub does not drain properly. There are mold around the tub and basin. Coffee cups were not cleaned. There were shaving residue. Who knows, perhaps staff are also dated. Definitely BYOB (Bring Your Own Bleach).
Be the first to ReplyCovid Busy But Milking It
Due to Covid I am about to complete my third staycation here in two years. A total of six nights but I’ll focus on the last two. The hotel is laid out nice, has an amazing pool, overlooks a marina and a beach - which is rare in HK - but needs some TLC. The rooms are small and there is little provided. Shower gel in bottles on the wall in the shower and Nescafé packets for coffee. Sheets that feel well past it and decor that screams old. In short it needs love as it feels increasingly like a youth hostel. Other points worth noting. The spacious lobby lounge does not serve drinks until 1430 which is silly. Breakfast is chaotic as the hotel is popular with families with kids who in the safe environment are let to run wild and feral. The restaurant Prime Rib I’d recommend avoiding BUT the Satay Inn get yourself into as much as you can and make reservations; it’s excellent. Another plus the hotel is happy to store bikes if you ride here and that is a plus in HK. After three stays I hope not to stay again. But if the Walled City of Hong Kong persists I would.

Very satisfied on our stay at the Gold Coast Hotel. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Nice facilities and good environment. Especially like the water slides in the swimming pool. An excellent place for family staycation.

Highly recommended! . The accommodation was great. The room was very spacious and nice. I love the wondrous sea view and the balcony. Everything was clean. The staff was very attentive. The food in the Chinese restaurant and Satay Hin was awesome. There is nothing to complain about. I have planned to stay here again!!

Overall this hotel is also in all aspects, and the quality of the environment and food is good. The room is spacious enough to lie down, and cleanliness. And now due to the Covid-19, other facilities of the hotel cannot be used.
