Dine with healthy nerves in a mythical place
What can be said about this culinary heaven? Our second encounter with a three-star kitchen came with some nerves, as this place is somewhat mythical and we also came to dine during the last period of Peter Goossens, which made it even more special. Each dish was a work of art in itself, the wines a delight for the senses, and the highlight was surprisingly the ham mousse, despite being only an appetizer. We thought the event seemed a bit cold, but the whole thing was still an unforgettable and unique experience.

One of the best culinary experiences ever! Never eaten so much before. I think the photos speak for themselves in that respect :-)

We had a lot of fun with this menu.
A new detour in Flanders, direction Hof van Cleve. The famous house of former 3-star chef Peter Goossens was recently taken over by his right-hand man Floris Van Der Veken. And in eight weeks he and his team managed to win two Michelin stars. Sitting on classic bases twisted by modern influences. We could describe this cuisine as generous. Impeccable and incredibly high-quality service, a real ballet. We had a lot of fun with this menu. And the cheese cart is worth the detour alone. I will also remember the hot version of the Zelande mussel which was incredible.

This is a truly culinary fantastic event, there are certainly no star restaurants, but I definitely didn't want to miss this one, this is a total picture event, a well-oiled machine, you feel at ease, take a seat and enjoy (not a decadent affair). ) from the beginning to the end. (4.5 hours in our case), it feels like you have a greet and meet with a mega celeb. This is delicious food and drinks, sometimes with a nice quip from the team. Enjoyed to the fullest. Awesome overall picture.

Hof van Cleve has attracted our attention for years, but we waited in vain for an invitation from a good soul to treat us there 🤭😂 Then we took the bull by the horns and, barely a month after the start-up of Hof van Cleve 2.0, yesterday went on a gastronomic voyage of discovery with good friends on our own initiative. In summary, it means that the four of us thoroughly enjoyed 4 hours and ended up with one culinary surprise after another. Top in every respect! An experience you will never forget, ending with a spontaneous and sympathetic conversation with chef Floris Van der Veken. We will definitely come back here and to put it in the striking words of Jan Claeys from the Nieuwsblad/De Gentenaar: the former Michelin stars that were temporarily removed from the wall and are lying somewhere in the garden, but will soon be back on the wall are confirmed. Wondering if Michelin thinks the same way. Next week we may already know whether 1 or 2 * can be recovered from the garden. Would certainly be well deserved for Floris and his super team. Had an a la carte lunch. Sublime. Chef Floris gives classics a new beautiful swing. Hof van Cleve-Floris: a winner. Absolutely recommended. The total experience is maximum. Congratulations to the entire team.
Still the absolute top outside of category
With great curiosity I went to HVC, but it wasn't really necessary. With the exception of Peter G, the team has remained almost the same with an entrance from a young sommelier on top. The style is identical, as is the high quality of welcome, service, well selected wines, in short, everything. Still managed on the right track by the experienced maitre d' Serge, who keeps the good mood going with a quip At a lonely height Let the starry rain fall again!

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
