Gordon Ramsay Steak Baltimore Reviews from The Last Year
I wanted to celebrate my Birthday here.
We made reservations for 7:00, but we asked could we be seated early since we got there early to walk around the Casino to see what was in there since it was our first time there, it wasn't much to see in the Casino. So they were able to seat us early. The Restaurant had a nice warm cozy feel. Our Server Miles was Friendly and explained the Menu and Special since it was our first time there. We ordered a number of items ( see pics). We were surprised at how small the portion sizes were. The MD Crab Soup hardly had anything in it, mainly Corn, Tomatoes and only 3 Lumps of Crabmeat. It was tasty but I was disappointed, I was expecting more especially for the price of $15. I got the Kansas City Strip Steak and the Hubby got the Ribeye, we both ordered the Medium, but after taking a couple of bites we saw that they were Rare. We informed our Server Miles and he saw them and agreed that they were Rare. He asked did we want to send them back so they can Bump up the heat on them? We said no we will just recook them at Home. We were surprised that he didn't offer to bring us out a new Steak, especially for the Price we paid for both Steaks which was $80 a piece. You would think that for that price they would be cooked perfectly, they did taste delicious. The Manager did come over and offered his apologies and did not charge me for my Dessert which was the Sticky Pudding. Everything else was good. I had a nice time, but was expecting more. All the Staff was nice.
Another amazing meal at Gordon Ramsey Steak.
The food was perfectly prepared. The signature beef wellington is every bit as good as the hype. Our server was helpful in selecting wine and sides. I plan to celebrate many more birthdays here. My compliments to the chefs and to management.

This was my first time dining at a Ramsay restaurant, my dad was in the hospital at UMMC some family members wanted to grab some dinner on a Fri evening at the casino and we decided on Ramsays and made reservations online. When we arrived it wasn't very busy we really didn't need reservations, we approached the host stand and mentioned our reservation walking to our seats we passed the bar area it was a little dark could have used a little bit more lighting especially at the bar. Our server approached and asked if we have eaten there before after hearing we hadn't he explained the menu to us. My aunt and I order alcohol she had red wine and I had an old fashioned, when the server came back with our drinks I was completely shocked when he put my drink down. I specifically said NO water I understand that a REAL Old Fashion is just a shot of alcohol that the cup will not be full, when he put the drink down it was full of crushed ice and the bourbon was to the top of the glass. We aren't at a dive bar the prices on the menu are not cheap and my old fashion is ruined, this restaurant should have large ice cube for bourbon drinks. I tasted it and said I asked for no water this drink is half full of water and asked for a large ice cube. If the bar tender doesn't know how to make drinks they need a new one, he returned with my drink alls they did was strain out the ice and put a cube of ice in the cup. Why wasn't the cube used the first time?? And the bourbon was still watered down, wasted that drink. My mom and I had the Beef Wellington and my aunt and cousin had the sea bass and we shared the cream spinach. Both steaks were very good maybe just a little more of the mashed potatoes and the Demi sauce would have been nice. Both sea bass meals were excellent I tastes a bite from my cousin and it was outstanding cooked perfectly, the fish came with parsnips and quinoa could have used a little more parsnips. Over all very good food my old fashion was ruined that and the lack of potatoes and parsnips is the reason for 4 stars .

It's my second time dining here after a few years and quality doesn't seem to be as good. For a restaurant like this I would expect perfection, if not, almost, and what we got was a lot less of a perfection. But maybe thats on our high expectations as we love Gordon Ramsay's shows. We liked most of the food, my husband loved the beef wellington it was delicious, the mac and cheese was one of the best we got. I got the 16oz NY Strip and for the most part it was cooked and seared great but a good portion, maybe 1/4 of it was really burnt on the sear, (can maybe see it on the photo uploaded, which really turned me off of it after having a bite full of bitter burnt piece of strip. I had let our server know about it but all they said was they'll let the kitchen know so I lost about 1/4 of my steak, but paid full price. Service was alright, our server was nice and informative about the menu and food. It was however hard to get their attention at times. And forgot to put in one of our desserts, but understandable that he may have misheard that the items we wanted. Ambiance is nice. It felt like the tables were spaced out enough to have a nice private dinner.
This was our third time visiting Gordon Ramsay Steak in
This was our third time visiting Gordon Ramsay Steak in Baltimore Maryland, and we were beyond disappointed during this last visit on December 16, 2023. We were initially so impressed with the experience (the food was exceptional, the service was top notch, and you made each guest feel like royalty) that we started making this a holiday tradition with family and our go to place for special occasions. Unfortunately, that was not the case this time. I was hesitant to write this review but more than a month later, I'm still upset about the experience and quite honestly as the host, terribly embarrassed. From the moment we arrived the following fell short of what we've come to know and expect from previous dining experiences at Gordon Ramsay Steak: On our first two visits, the server recognized that we were there to celebrate a special occasion and brought out complimentary glasses of champagne which did not happen. We had to ask for bread and there was only enough for each person to have one piece. Most of us were looking forward to the Lobster Risotto. We've had it in the past and couldn't wait to have it again! Despite checking the menu online where it was listed as an offering, that was not the case. We were told it's no longer being offered - not sure why as it's incredible. Unfortunately, removing this appetizer was just the start of a progressive downward spiral. I had the butternut squash risotto, it was good, but pales in comparison - it's not even a close second. Two of our guests ordered the New York Strip medium rare. It wasn't butchered properly, they were over cooked and inconsistent. Both of our guests have ordered this same entrée on a previous occasion and noticed a marked reduction in quality. Now, for the beef wellington, another family favorite, suffice it to say, it was not good. It was lukewarm at best, and the puff pastry was soggy, falling apart and unappetizing. It didn't look good and tasted average. This isn't Outback Steakhouse - it's Gordon Ramsay Steak (operative word is steak). When it came time for dessert, half of us didn't even want anything because of the quality of the food and lackluster service. When the guest of honor said he didn't want anything they opted to bring out quarter full glasses of champagne for the table and presented him with a candle stuck to a Gordon Ramsay card on a plate. This about sent me over the edge. In the past, one of your world-famous desserts (the sticky toffee pudding) would have been automatically presented to the guest of honor. Full glasses of champagne were always offered as the server recognized the special occasion when seated - getting them at dessert felt like an after thought and a complete failure. You don't have champagne at the end of the meal, it's a way to kick off what should be an amazing culinary experience. This experience was so off-putting to us that we are giving serious thought to changing our "family tradition" moving forward. We've become so accustomed to and grateful for the quality of a Gordon Ramsay restaurant which is why we are so upset. I think he would be embarrassed to have his name associated with what was far less than a stellar dining experience.

Drove over an hour to try this restaurant and the experience was great. We were seated promptly and the hostess gave details of the restaurant layout by showcasing the aged steaks display and the wine room. Tanisha was our server and we plan on checking if she's working before our future visits. She added on to the hostess's introduction by giving a "tour" of the menu and explained how Gordon Ramsay played a part in developing the menu. We ordered a prime filet and a wagyu filet. Both were very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. For drinks we ordered the Scots Donkey and the El Matador, both were very tasty. Tanisha went above and beyond to curate an off the menu spicy margarita for me. For dessert we enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding. As a fan of Master Chef, this is what I was most excited for and it did not disappoint. Tanisha is definitely a major factor that made us decide to frequent the restaurant in the future. Her service was immaculate and she honestly went above expectations.
We have been here several times and will continue to return.
Our server was great - attentive without being overly solicitous. The manager was also engaging. All of the food was great. The crab cake was tasty. The market salad was perhaps a little over-dressed. The steaks were perfectly cooked. The truffle fries are cooked nicely and not overly truffled. The sticky toffee pudding is to die for. We will absolutely be back!

I had the most incredible dining experience at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in the Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore. For my birthday, my wife and stepson treated me to an unforgettable meal. The Beef Wellington, Shiitake mushrooms, Mac & Cheese, and Truffle fries were all simply divine. I can't forget to mention the Matador drink, which was excellent, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding for those with a sweet tooth. What truly made the night special was receiving a personalized Happy Birthday postcard signed by Gordon Ramsay himself. We've dined here many times, and every visit has exceeded our expectations. The friendly staff, exceptional food, and top-notch drinks make it worth the investment. Some might say it's on the pricey side, but when you're treated to a meal of this caliber, it's worth every penny. I'd choose quality over mediocre frozen food any day!

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
