Extremely Disappointed
I booked the Innside Hotel & restaurant for my husbands 40th. The hotel was beautiful. However the restaurant was really disappointing 😞 I ordered a spaghetti carbonara & it was that salty I couldn't eat it. The waitress noticed & came over to ask how it was so I told her. She offered another meal, therefore I ordered a Italian sausage Pizza. I don't know what was going on that evening but it was like they poured the hole salt tub into the food. I managed a couple of bites but couldn't stomach it. My Husband who will eat absolutely anything & usually finishes my meals said it was like a plate of slop. I hate to leave the meal early & couldn't enjoy any drinks as I felt extremely ill from the food. I returned to my room & was violently ill & vomiting from the amount of salt in the food. To say my night & my husband 40th Birthday evening was ruined is an understatement, after paying over £350 for our room & meal for 1 night, we are home now & absolutely gutted! 😭

My friend and I ate here for our 40th birthdays. The food was of high quality, good portion size and very tasty. We also though it was reasonably priced! I didn't get the waiters name but he was incredibly friendly and helpful...he made our night. I will definitely return when in Liverpool again.

Booked table for 4 for 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Beautiful restaurant and i liked that the tables were not closely packed together, giving an ambiance of space and room to relax and chill out whilst dining at this restaurant. 2 ladies at the reception desk were attentive, approachable and showed us to our table with minimum of fuss. Felt very welcome. Our waiter was helpful and we asked for recommendations for a light meal as we were dining in another part of the city at 5.30/6pm the same day. We (2 ladies) opted for waiter’s recommendation of fresh salmon salad and a shared side of breads selection. The 2 guys opted to share a Neapolitan pizza. Drinks order was served promptly and an additional jug water was also provided. The food was nicely presented and tasted delicious. We were not rushed and it was nice that the waiters didn’t “hover” over us but were attentive to know when we wanted further drinks, our bill etc. the toilets at the venue were spotless clean and after our meal we were able get lift up to the skybar on 18th floor, where we ordered further drinks and had great views over the city centre. Sky bar was a lovely end to our visit at this building and the 4 of us (2 Liverpool locals and our 2,friends visiting from Litchfield would highly recommend you book here. Well done to all bar/waiter staff, chef and kitchen staff… you’re all doing a fantastic job 👏👏👏👏

Very disappointed!
Table booked for 7.30pm, there was no table for us. Told to wait in waiting area, ignored. No drinks offered while we waited. We were then give 2 options, a high table or wait even longer for a normal table. We have children, high table not ideal but they were hungry. We then waited for a server to take drinks order. Food did come in normal time but my partner sent his steak back twice and my daughter sent hers back once. The chips were cold for both meals. My partner ordered a red wine to go with his steak, didnt arrive for about 15-20 mins. When we did complain we were just handed the bill with food taken off to leave, no desserts offered .
Never go back - Its not cheap so you expect some kind of good service, we are fair people and understand when things go wrong but this was too much.
Lovely restaurant and decor - no substance and 0 quality
Poor service and unappetising food
We came here twice as it was attached to our hotel so easy to get to with a 2 year old.
It was extremely busy in the night we arrived.
I ordered the spaghetti bolognese
And my partner just ordered a starter of calamari that looked extremely poor and were tiny shrivelled up sticks of calamari that looked extremely poor and unappetising.
My spaghetti was extremely bland,no different from a packet spaghetti from a supermarket.
I did eat it,it wasn’t awful, just nothing special like I thought it would be.
My partner had a hair on his plate.
He did complain and an apology was given straight away.
He didn’t have to pay for the meal he didn’t touch
So not a good first time experience.
We tried again the next day.
Booked a table for 7.30pm and had to wait one hour to even get seated on our table.
With a 2 year old getting tired this was extremely stressful.
The girl with the pink trousers on at the front desk seemed really dis organised and my partner went to her twice to see if we could get seated.
Couldn’t understand that the whole time there were about 4 empty tables this whole hour of us waiting.
When we finally got to our table we asked for a high chair in which the same girl walked back to her podium and started seating other people down so she forgot about us.
It wasn’t until she seen my partner coming towards her that she ran off to get the high chair.
My partner had to then get up from the table to find someone to get drinks ordered as we just seemed to have got forgotten about again.
Our 2 year old was extremely tired and restless by this time.
The guy that came over after noticed how frustrated we looked and was extremely apologetic .
We ordered pizza and salad which was better than the night before.
Still not a great experience and turned out to be a very stressful night
Terrible customer service by staff that don’t know what they are doing
Went to Gino’s for Mother’s Day with my 85year old mother in law. We booked the sky bar for 6pm before our table downstairs at 7pm. What an absolute shambles. We waited 20 minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink. My husband asked the greeter twice if we could order a drink. . We were told his colleague would be over to take our order. Like I say we waited 20 minutes for a drink. Disabled toilet was locked throughout our visit to the sky bar. We have now come downstairs for our table that was booked for 7pm. It is now 7.40 and we still haven’t been seated. The girl on the desk has no idea who is who and is wandering around like a lost soul asking people their name. Never again will I come here and that’s before I’ve tried any of the food. Thank you Gino de Campo for ruining my Mother’s Day. We’ve now had our food which was good. The service was good but unfortunately our experience in the sky bar has tarnished our visit.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced tiny portions
Tiny portions of overpriced food. No atmosphere. Had to send lasagna back as there was no pasta and it came back burned! Won’t be returning.

We had an excellent trip to Gino’s last weekend and we were served by the lovely Elena who went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was the best possible! She is a real asset to the team and we will absolutely be returning! Really tasty food and lovely atmosphere!

Very disappointed with The new restaurant. Ordered fries but was given courgette fries - luckily my daughter swapped her fries for mine as I did need a side order as the sea bass dish was more out lentils than sea bass. My daughter and I ordered baileys panacotta with caramel sauce . The panacotta had barely a hint of baileys and in error they had covered it with lemon sauce - it was a mid match of flavours - I tried to raise my hand to get the attention of the waiter however after five minutes of sticking my arm up no one came over so I got up and went over to the waiter who seemed to be in complete disbelief that it was a lemon sauce not caramel - he said he would ask the chef - as if he didn’t trust my taste . They brought new dessert over but there was barely a spoonful of caramel sauce on the panacotta. I wish I hadn’t bothered with dessert. My daughter had a glass of Rose wine , they asked her if she would like another and brought her white wine 🙈. When they brought the bill they wanted nearly £15 optional service charge 😂I did give them £10 but to be honest - I felt robbed. They definitely need to wake up and definitely need a shake up as this sort of service won’t do them any good. Times are hard and things are going to get worse with people paying more to live day to day - so if they want this restaurant to survive in a big city they need to work like their life depends on it.

So looking forwatrd to our meal there.Booked a night at the Ibis Hotel Albert Dock (excellent value for money btw).
This restaurant is lovely, the staff are polite and seemed to be efficient but the food is a letdown.
The waiter brought me a chicen breast sliced in hafl with a few mushroom with some thyme on the stalks thrown into a sauce which wasn't really hot enough and was cold by the time I had finished which didn't take long being such a small portion.Thank god for the garlic bread which was nice.I had ordere rge crispy chicken breast but didn't want to send what he brought back as I didn't want to wait while my wife ate her meal.
So it will be our last visit.
Riva blu

Can’t believe this restaurant is going to change hands!!! Gino oh Gino keep this one going! You have the best staff I’ve ever come across! They made us feel so important! Have ate at many good restaurants and have to say the staff had it just right! So attentive but not over the top! Gino if you pack this restaurant in I think it’s a huge mistake!!! People of Liverpool know what they like, the place was buzzing and don’t mind spending their money on quality!!! Tried to send this to you personally but don’t support all the other media sites!!! If you think Alderley Edge is the answer you are mistaken!!! People of Liverpool spend their money, why do you think the rich get rich??? Us locals just get rich on life!! Keep it going!!!

We booked to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Sky bar for drinks which was fine with great views. Restaurant downstairs is huge and was so cold I kept my coat on all night. Staff not very attentive and a bit grumpy!! Food was nothing great. Lasagne dry and obviously made earlier and heated up. Massively overpriced for what we had. Completely underwhelmed and did not live up to expectations. Fantastico it definitely wasn’t you need to do better
