Best Indian food in Florida
Absolutely amazing!!!! The service was excellent and we were completely blown away by the food. This was the first time visiting and we opted to try the tasting menu - it was completely worth it- so many options having my mouth surprised with sweet/spicy/salty/mutiple spices all at once. For sure will be back- excellent restaurant!!!

Delicious chicken tandoori and masala. Generous portions. Nice ambiance- cozy and warm. Definitely will come back soon

Went to Ghee for lunch while in Miami. The veggie samosas where delicious and so was the chix Tikka masala. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Good experience
Be the first to ReplyNor Indian and Not Good
Gimmicky cafeteria food that ourports to be Indian. Tried a chicken appetizer that tasted like to came from a shopping mall Chinese outpost. Beef korma at $38 per plate was not Indian and was not good. Nothing to recommend here.
Be the first to ReplySo disappointing!
I first tried this restaurant in July 2021 and it was the best and tastiest Indian restaurant I had even been to in American. I visited again in January 2022, and it was again amazing. I took my family in April 2023 and was thoroughly disappointed. The service was terrible, and the food had no depth in flavor. It was bland, diluted food claiming to be fusion with hardly any remnants of its origin. Not only was the taste lacking, it was so incredibly overpriced. In the quest to make so many restaurants so quickly, perhaps the owner, Chef Niven, has forgotten his Indian roots. Itโs a shame. I went from being one of their greatest fans, to someone who will never go to Ghee again.

Just ate at Ghee and what a wonderful dining experience. V. nice ambiance. Easy to reach with free close parking garage. Menu was so nicely varied with food choices for all tastes. Food was very well prepared and for someone who generally does not eat Indian cuisine this was a real dining treat. Nice wine list. Wait staff was very well informed on the menu and very easy to work with. Could not have been a better dining experience in South Miami and cannot wait to return.

Let me start by saying that the food was very nice . BUT ... The starters and main course arrived pretty much at the same time ... The amount of food on the table was overwhelming with no time to enjoy the starters prior to the mains . It all felt like the restaurant had decided to get us in and out as quick as a tyre change in a formula 1 grand prix ... Maybe that's why they have references to Michelin on their website . If I'm going to spend 150 dollars on a meal for 2 I'd expect it to be a nice relaxed experience . Within 40 mins of sitting down to dinner we were being offered boxes to box the food up. Not my idea of an evening out. Also at the end .. our server decided to enter an incorrect pin number on the card machine which blocked my card and took me a few hours today getting on to my bank to sort out .

We were a party of 4, celebrating a graduation. The service was excellent and so was the food. Creative twist to traditional Indian food. We had Taro pakora, lamb neck stew and Sag Paneer. All the dishes were made to perfection. However, the heat was unbearable. We sat outside. (There was no choice when we made the reservation) Their was no cross ventilation and no air , fans were not effective.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing and not really Indian
After getting all sorts of recommendations touting the wonderful food at this place, I went one evening to see for myself. Sat outdoors and since I was alone I ordered a samosa chaat to begin with followed by a chicken Tikka masala (CTM) and a plain Naan. The samosa chaat was decent but would have been enhanced with yogurt and a bit more generous helping of tamarind chutney. The CTM was standard and bland and was no different from even the supermarket frozen variety. It was actually butter chicken and not CTM as the latter usually has more to it than chicken and neon orange sauce. The Naan was not Naan. This place clearly does not have a tandoor oven as this was just flatbread cooked on a grill! It was highly disappointing. Service was brisk but I was shocked that I had to pack up the leftovers in a box and ask for a bag and then fork out a substantial tip for simply bringing food and leaving it on the table. I later found out that packing your own doggy bag is SOP in the USA as is contributing to the servers living wage. This place is highly overrated and is not a true Indian restaurant
Be the first to ReplyOverrated Indian Restaurant with No taste of India
Read all the good reviews here on TripAdvisor and planned a visit to this very overrated Indian Restaurant in Downtown Dadeland. First off the food was nothing like Indian food I have ever tasted. They have tried to be fancy with their Avocado Bature. Simply Awful. Try an Avocado Toast at some breakfast place instead. The Choley with it was undercooked. We also tried their Dosa which was ok (nothing great) and fried cauliflower (It was hard like rubber and tasteless to say the least). We drove all the way from Miami Beach to Dade county to taste this horrible food. Not to mention how overpriced it was. The ambience is definitely like a fine dine and the waiters are fancy. But that's about it. Please do not waste your time or money...This is definitely not an Indian Cuisine and your taste buds will hurt.

Hats off to our server Nathan who was very helpful. Wonderful meal, the highlight was the crispy cauliflower and vegetable Samosa appetizer. The main courses of chicken tikka masala, Kerala lamb and Calabaza were great too. My favorite part of the menu is the spicy cheese naan bread which is superb! Also they validate your parking so parking is free! Highly recommended and the place was packed on a Thursday night.

This is not your typical Indian restaurant! The food is spectacular. Everything on the menu is delicious.
We had the samosa chat, backyard pecora, charred corn, salmon tandoori, and several other dishes. Each was better than the other.
You must also try the Indian wine.
Cant wait go go back.
Overhyped
Papaya salad - was ok. Well spiced and seasoned.
Short rib dosa - the stuffing, sambar and the chutney - were not authentic and tasteless. The dosa per se was good.
Malabar shrimp - 2 small tacos with tiny shrimps on it
Paneer tikka masala - okay, but not authentic.
(All 3 dishes had the same flavour probably de to the same masala in it)
Naan - it's a Joke !! It is like a store-bought pizza base. I saw it being cooked on a grill and they still call it a naan???
Sticky pudding - was good
Very tasty!
Ghee has a limited menu at lunchtime, with four entrees to choose from and a variety of side dishes and appetizers. Service by Nicole was very good. You can make a reservation with OpenTable. They have indoor and outdoor seating. All three of us had the chicken tikka masala which came with basmati rice and we ordered an appetizer of crispy cauliflower bites which were amazing. We also had a side of cheese and jalapeรฑo stuffed naan-bread which was soft, spicy and utterly delicious! It is not cheap to eat here with entrees running from $17 upwards but the taste is great!!

The Chicken Tikka Masala was really, really good. The Dal Makhani was too spicy for my taste but my son loved it. The garlic naan was delicious. I highly recommend this place. The service was a bit slow and the place was not very busy, but I can forgive that for such great food.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Food & Service
First of all, love the covered patio area in front of the restaurant surrounded by planters. We ordered a lot of food to sample many items and the dishes were brought out in several courses at a good pace so we didnโt get all at once. The turmeric marinated fish curry was delicious as was the chicken tikka masala. The rice that came with it was nice and fluffy, loved it. Donโt miss out on the roasted corn, my fav! Vegetable samosas were very good and we really enjoyed the potato crepe Masala Dosa that came with lentil coup. Caution on the chutney sampler, several were very, very spicy. Highly recommend if you like Indian food. They also validated our garage parking!
Be the first to ReplyService is lacking
Food is good quality (depending on how much you get), but the service is lacking. I have ordered many times for pick up. They are not good about telling you when your food is ready, so you show up and it has been sitting there for fifteen minutes getting cold, or you have to wait twenty minutes --- but you show up 30 minutes after ordering both times!
Also, the quantity of food appears to be getting smaller and smaller. One of my orders hardly had enough to qualify as a side dish on one plate. When I called to ask about this, I was promised someone would call me back. No one did.
I supported this restaurant during the pandemic and I am sorry to see that although the restaurant seems full again, the menu is not back to what it was, and neither is the service. Big disappointment!
Open for outdoor lunches!
Downtown Dadeland has closed off its streets and allowed the restaurants to expand their outdoor dining options during Covid. We came here for our company Christmas lunch and had a wonderful meal. They now have stuffed spicy cheese naan bread which is amazing. While there is a limited set menu, they were pretty busy and we enjoyed sitting outside and eating wonderful Indian food. Highly recommended.

Excellent Indian food in Downtown Dadeland
Downtown Dadeland has done a great job offering plenty of outdoor seating for its restaurants. Had an excellent lunch at Ghee's, Chicken Tiki Masala was delicious along with basmati rice and garlic nan. Couldn't have asked for a better meal. Wife had the pork vindaloo which was also very good. Outdoor or indoor seating available. Will return!!

Had a corporate event. Made an order with Diana. Showed up to pick up the order. The hostest and idiot manager had no idea about what I was talking about. They gave me the wrong order. I realized sych halfway back and turned around. When I got back I tried to make light of the situation to a woman full of tattoos and dressed very unprofessional, she had a snide comment in return to their mistake and incompetent behavior.
