. My server name was Mae and she was really good, friendly and fast.. Food was good, fresh and hot. I ordered chargrilled oysters which was good w/ a lot of flavor, cup of gumbo was good, the red snapper with the sauce and crawfish on top was great, nice meaty fish, good flavor, big portion... The restaurant wasn't crowded at all and good ambience/ vibe. Full bar is available as well.

5! Excellent Oysters! Large!! Get the combo platter. Best were the Rockefeller and creole oysters. Shrimp Po Boy was succulent. Lightly fried. Caesar salad was fresh. Beans and rice great!!! Get the bread pudding WITHOUT the bourbon sauce or have it on the side. Otherwise excellent. Awesome service. Fast. Very casual Will come back if we can!

Can never go wrong with some raw oysters from Gallier! Been here a couple times now and the oysters are always out of this world. Our waitress was very sweet, but you could tell she was swamped so there were times we were waiting for her to clean off the table, or order more food. But, she did great given the circumstances. The place was packed during dinner. We saw a few pasta dishes go by and they look delicious, I'll have to try them next time!

First time here, Ken was our server and he was super friendly and gave great recommendations! We had the Cajun pasta which was amazing, alligator appetizer (get it blackened grilled), gumbo and jambalaya. Everything was flavorful and tasty. Thanks Ken!

Be the first to ReplyThe food was amazing! Our server was very friendly.
The space was a bit tight but that didn't really bother me because overall everything else was great!
Be the first to ReplyUnbelievable food.
We got the Cajun Oysters, Red Snapper, and the Gator bites. This was by far the most delicious thing I've had in NOLA.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a great little place.
My wife and I mainly came for the oysters. I think we started with the grill sampler and then just picked two that were in the sampler for a second helping. They all were delicious. A little crowded but what isn't in NO?

The food was very good and the service was delightful! We had the crab cake Benny and it was very tasty! I would recommend this venue for a nice relaxed meal. The dining area was clean and airy.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a tasty lunch here.
It was a little pricy compared to some other places we had been to, especially given the ambiance, etc was nothing exceptional. The fish dishes were well prepared. We ate every last alligator bite. We were less enthused by the salad dressings which seemed sort of gross bottle variety.... Like thick Italian. And the potato salad seemed like the kind you get at the grocery store. The service was very friendly! The music was too loud and annoying. (It was some sort of radio/streaming service) and really distracting. A little jazz or something would have been better.... We wouldn't seek out this place but it certainly was not bad.

We loved the broiled oysters with parmesan, bread crumbs and cajun sesoning! So mouthwateringly delicious. The Taste of New Orleans which includes a trio of Red Beans and Rice, Jambalaya, and Gumbo were all best in class like you dream about!

Happy Hour oysters were delicious! Super friendly service and quick! Nice place without the big hype and crowds like ACME. Definitely will be back when we return to NOLA!

The grilled oysters were amazing. We had the Cajun redfish, green beans & salad. A lot of food. Bartender was great.

The place was packed but we only had to wait 15 minutes - they're very efficient at turning over tables. The oysters were fabulous, as was the gumbo and the grilled shrimp. Very tasty drinks as well and the prices were reasonable!

Good happy hour menu, all their variants of cooked oysters were bomb dot com. My favorite nola oyster place to date!!!

Super unpretentious, high quality seafood. We had raw oysters, char grilled, Cajun pasta, fried shrimp and the "taste of New Orleans" all were excellent, staff and owners were attentive and friendly, all in all a great time.

Friendly service. Nice location just across Canal St. definitely a go to oysters

Everything is just a little lackluster, aside from the excellent & kind service. Our waiter was attentive without being a pest & was easily the best part of the experience. The Oysters while the best part of the meal, were nothing to write home about and probably the weakest I've had visiting NOLA(limited sample size, to be fair). My shrimp Po boy was dry & my GF's pasta was tragically lacking in seasoning. If the prices were better, I'd say it's solid in a pinch... but there are plenty of places priced the same or cheaper with much better food. I wouldnt reccomend or return.
Be the first to ReplyI wish I could pack these Oyster Rockefeller and take them
I wish I could pack these Oyster Rockefeller and take them all back on the plane with me. I'm not from the NO and have only visited maybe a handful of times in my 39 years of life. If there's any place in the city that has a better Rockefeller I'd be quote blown away. Great service, cool lil spot. I thought Steamhouse in Atlanta had the best Rockefeller and they've been my go to whenever I'm in town for the past 15 years. Galliers Rockefeller puts Steamhouse so far at the bottom now I'm almost upset that I tasted them. . Seriously though must try.

The pasta and bread pudding are divine! We will definitely be back the next time we visit New Orleans!
Be the first to ReplyFood was good and well priced.
We did the oyster trio platter; it was a little salty. We also got the Fried Seafood platter. The fish was the best on the plate super moist and flaky! Service was okay.
Be the first to ReplyWe stopped in for a quick drink and some oysters.
Being in NOLA, I was thinking I would get very impressed. I was proven wrong. While it wasn't the worst, it definitely wasn't the best. And it was mostly the atmosphere which was just kind of dumpy and didn't feel very clean. The oyster sampler was good. Service was decent.
