First class property and service!
First class service - period. We just returned from a week at the resort and were impressed by the level of service and attention we received. The staff all knew our names by day two and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. We are generally fans of the Four Seasons and the Maui and Big Island resorts are our favorite hotels - the service here did not disappoint - and may have even surpassed those other properties. The property is beautiful and well maintained - there are endless views everywhere on the resort. We did the sunset boat cruise, the 4x4 jeep tour and a snorkeling outing. All were wonderful and worth doing - on the sunset cruise we saw an army of spinner dolphins! The beach has rough surf so while we enjoyed the beach we note that this is different than some of the properties we’ve stayed at in Hawaii where the waters were calmer and the beaches were nicer. The beach is also shared with the beach park so alcoholic beverages are not permitted and there are also campers further along on the beach as well past the four seasons side - mostly families having a wonderful weekend day picnicking and playing in the water. Going past the beach and into the park there is an endless supply of tide pools - we spent several mornings walking on the rocks and looking for fish and crabs. There is also a bluff that you can hike further along that point which has amazing views and photo ops. Bring a selfie stick! The resort felt relaxing and exclusive - never too crowded. We could always find a seat at the beach or pool area and staff came by often to see if we needed any food or drink. I think the staff was also good at noticing that people had departed so as to clean up and make seats available. Speaking of food - the restaurants on property were all wonderful. Of course Nobu would be fantastic, but the farm to table offerings were also wonderful. We also loved lunch at the restaurant at the golf course - go there even if you don’t golf. The views are the best views on the property and we had a lovely view of the whales breaching when we went. There is also a grab and go coffee place adjacent to the lobby which is good in the am for a quick bite if you don’t want a sit down restaurant. There is also a happy hour and gelato 3-5 at that location which was lovely - there are also shuffleboard and pool tables which are a fun family activity to do while having some gelato or a drink. We also went off property for dinner at the bar and grill in town which was lovely and had a lot of local flavor and great live music. There is also a market in town if you’d like to buy some snacks or wine and some gift shops as well - the hotel shuttle goes hourly to town which is convenient. To sum up - first class service and property. Thanks Four Seasons for a chill, relaxing atmosphere and simply a wonderful vacation.

Everything about this resort is beyond wonderful: room, lobby, spa (best massage I've ever had), restaurants, the pools, the beach are all incredible. What made it all even more fabulous was how friendly and kind every person working at the resort was. It is expensive, but wow...so luxurious! We are already planning our next trip back.

Incredible resort. 4th time staying here. First time was in 1998 and it was definitely due for an update. Change of ownership now and Larry Ellison did an incredible job with the property. The best resort we’ve stayed at so far. Night and day from what it looked like with previous owners. We didn’t stay at Sensei, which is the other property in the mountains but we played a round of golf and got a massage there. That property is also unbelievable. Almost like staying at a museum and onsen. They incorporated the onsen with the natural environment and dotted the property with Boteros sculptures everywhere. They did a spectacular job with the island and resorts. True 6 star

I traveled to Lāna’i with my mom to celebrate her birthday a bit early, and we stayed here for five days. I’ve been fortunate to stay at several FS properties, and this is the first for which I’ve been compelled to write a review for the exceptional experience. Everything about this trip was perfect. The service and attention to detail exceeded all expectations — even for a Four Seasons. The property itself is beautiful with multiple botanical gardens, tennis courts, pools and hot tubs. They have several rescue parrots on premises that will greet you as you walk to your room with a friendly ‘hello.’ Their friendly caretaker, affectionately called ‘Uncle’ Bruno, and his assistant will provide fascinating details about the bird species as well as their individual personalities. When relaxing outside, you can opt for poolside or beachside service — either is great. Each day, there are a myriad of cultural activities for guests to enjoy. If you have an interest in ukulele there’s something for you, but if you already have some experience, like my mom, you can request a private lesson. My mom’s instructor Jon was such a delight, and my mom was beaming following the lesson. Prior to our arrival, all of our activities were coordinated by the Island Activities team for optimal enjoyment. I highly encourage future/potential guests to take advantage of at least one activity a day; it provides a bit of structure to your time while allowing for plenty of pool/beach or other relaxation time at the spa. On our first night, we took advantage of the private observatory. As an amateur astronomer, this was such an incredibly unique experience. Our knowledgeable guide shared the fascinating history of how the stars were used by traditional Polynesian navigators. In particular, seeing the Orion Nebula up close was a special treat. The next day, we took a Jeep Tour of the island and learned so much about the history of Lāna’i and saw so many things around the island — including three sea turtles and a monk seal and pup (albeit from a distance for safety/conservation reasons — don’t approach these animals as they are wild and and are critically endangered). Shayne, our guide, made an effort to make the tour unique. We learned so much and he shared many traditional chants and stories, including the Kumulipo. We also enjoyed excursions at the Lāna’i Adventure Park and Lāna’i Ocean Sports all of which were coordinated by the Four Seasons. Don’t miss Pu’upehe, also known as Sweetheart Rock, it’s beautiful at sunrise. Both restaurants are phenomenal and include a Nobu. The service and food are excellent and the wine list is exceptional as featured in Wine Spectator. Thank you to all of the kind and special people we met. I’m struggling to remember everyone’s name, but the staff here is so great. Special thanks to Daniel, Francis, Arnel, Sarah, Jewel, Sam, Derec, Lei, Bruno, Randall, Shayne and Paul. We’re rebooking next week.

Hotel stay isn't cheap but it's worth every penny. The decor and staff are exceptional. From arrival to departure I have never experienced a better stay at any hotel in my life. Hardly wast to return!

My stay exceeded all expectations. It was like stepping into another world where all you had to do was relax and enjoy the great staff, views and food. The rooms were amazing and walking through the pathways to get to the lobby, pool and beach were such a treat. You forgot you were actually in a hotel as it felt like you were constantly outside. The staff was so friendly, the excursions were fun and even just sitting in the lobby enjoying the views was such a treat. Definitely coming back and would recommend this Resort to anyone who wants to get away.

We had a wonderful week in Lana’i. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food and drink selections were delicious. The excursions were fun and allowed us to visit different parts of the island. Overall, it was a wonderful week in Lana’i!

If you want a vacation away from the crowds and you like to play golf, the FS Lanai is worth the trip. The setting is unbelievably beautiful. The entire resort staff is great, but the staff working breakfast at One-Forty and everyone working at the golf course are exceptional. With Lana’i Air, getting there isn’t as challenging as it seems. It’s not inexpensive, but you’ll be glad you went.

Greatest Vacation Ever! Some High School Friends couples meet every year to watch SuperBowl. This year we picked Lanai, Four Seasons. Best choice. Start to finish, easy to book flights from all over U.S. We live in Chicago, direct flights to Honolulu, then quick flight over to Lanai. Easy to Book Flights, East to Book Hotel. On arrival First Class treatment from Lanai Airport to Resort. Great Room, Great Property. Great Amenities. The Finest Flora and Fauna of any resort. We woke up everyday and did the sunrise at Sweetheart Rock. Did the Shooting at the Sporting Clays, did the Beach, the pools. Had great breakfasts everyday. Did the Observatory looking at the stars with an unbelievable telescopes. Did the 4 wheel drive to the Cliffs with the ancient Hawaiian Petroglyphs. It was one Jam Packed Vacation of Fun, hour by hour, something to do. And of course when we sat at the pool in the private cabana with ocean view, was very nice and relaxing with service second to none. We were with 5 other couples, so we moved like a heard of tourists in some cases and were happy with just ourselves on other occasions and the resort and the many fine people that helped us were very accommodating. Went into Lanai City a couple of times and had some great shopping experiences. Went up to the other resort up in the mountains of Lanai for dinner and walked around the incredible gardens there as well. All in all was the best vacation I have ever had. Will Go Back.

The Four Seasons Lanai is an idyllic property with wonderful whale and dolphin watching opportunities from the beach and from our room. The hotel is immaculate and the staff is secondary to none in terms of service and friendliness. The food at restaurant One Forty is outstanding. We will definitely return.

The team at Four Seasons Lana'i knocked it out of the park. We had an incredibly restful an restorative stay at this beautiful property. We found every detail to be carefully considered and enjoyable, from transportation arrangements to and from Lana'i, to large and relaxing rooms, lush landscaping on-property, incredible dining, calming spa, fun cultural excursions, and a private-feeling beach with some of the softest sand that's ever touched our feet. Not just one of the top resort experiences we've had, but one of the top Four Seasons experiences, too.

The staff, grounds, room, food and experience was amazing. Four Seasons has a unique ability to anticipate needs and beyond that consistently add small touches through a stay to enhance an experience and create a bond like no other. From the dialogue with the staff at The Break, to the breakfasts at 140 and an engineer (Mike) who was able to troubleshoot IT-related issues with the internet, the staff makes every attempt to go above and beyond. The concierge team is amazing - Lili'u and Jay spent time forwarding ideas and suggestions to enhance experiences. Great resort - even better people. Kudos to Four Seasons - they are not a resort - they are an experience.

This is a trophy property in a tropical paradise…the kind you dream about and aspire to visit. The property, setting, views and accommodations are breathtaking and the staff is highly attentive and gracious. It all begins with the VIP treatment you’ll receive from Lanai Air in Honolulu when you arrive at their hangar. The short flight to Lana’i on the private charter reveals the rugged beauty of the island and your First Class experience just gets better and better upon arrival at the front desk and upon entry to your room.

Beginning to end a perfect 4 day getaway for two … The staff could not be nicer or more accommodating and always going out of there way to help and always greet us by name. A nice treat. For me it’s the perfect getaway at an idyllic location. There are a number of activities from water sports to archery, clay shooting, hikes and many others. Get ready to walk as the resort is quite spread out , but beautiful everywhere. Two restaurants and a breakfast/lunch/bar setup in lobby. All are great, and we found One Forty to be our go to for service as well as the food which was incredible at e wry meal. Get ready to spend $$$$, but wow what a joy.

I recently stayed at Four Seasons Lanai and I was absolutely blown away! The location was perfect - right on the beach and surrounded by lush vegetation. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and elegantly decorated. The food was delicious and the pool was an oasis. I would highly recommend Four Seasons Lanai to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

We visited the Four Seasons Beach Resort in Lanai and also Sensei in Lanai. I can honestly say they are two of the most beautiful and unique hotel/resorts we've ever been to. The staff at both hotels are second to none and the entire experience from top to bottom was top notch.
Be the first to ReplyNo lunch for you
We were told that we could have lunch over the phone even though we were not staying at the hotel. When we arrived, we were told we couldn’t. Unbelievably, the workers couldn’t or wouldn’t make an exception even though they were completely at fault and we had no other options. We couldn’t even get food to go. It reminded me of how the young ladies were treated in White Lotus. Maybe the Four Seasons views this as a compliment.

Holy moly! What a legit beyond 5⭐️ quality of service!!! I get why people pay crazy prices for this brand now. You received a welcome drink upon arriving along with a lei. Stayed one night in their ocean front room for a huge discount utilizing my Chase Sapphire travel rewards points. The room’s balcony and views were breathtaking. Enjoyed feeding their koi fish (yes you can ask for fish food at the front desk) and utilizing their binoculars to whale watch, dolphin watch etc. Their Nobu restaurant omikase course was an amazing experience, worth a try if you’re like me and didn’t know what to order and wanted to try everything off the menu but don’t have enough stomach space to handle if all 🤣 Their golf course has amazing views as well their restaurant - I loved their ahi poke app. Enjoyed coffees and spam musubi from their marketplace shop right by the front desk. Also made bracelets, fish origami, mini canoes from natural resources, while learning about the culture. How fun! Check out the pics. Lmk if you have any q! You must go here at least once in your life!

This is understated luxury at its finest. Every single detail that went into the resort is five diamond ! From the moment you arrive you feel like you’ve stepped into a different world. The rooms are some of the nicest I’ve stayed at I. The world. We had a wonderful dinner at the 140 restaurant and I e joyed the chefs tasting menu. It was the highlight meal of our trip. The staff their was very attentive and friendly. I was able to snorkel in the bay and even saw some dolphins early in the morning. We didn’t want to leave. Kudos to manager Chloe for making sure we had everything we needed and more for us and our children.

If you are thinking of travelling to lanai four seasons , don’t think too hard. It’s for sure one of the best places that exists on the planet. The food the property the staff and most importantly the management. The GM at this property is amazing , he goes above and beyond and the staff cares so much about making your Four seasons experience so amazing you wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else. Thank you so much four seasons management team in Lanai. You make me feel special

Atmosphere, views and service were second to none. Great for both couples and families the resort had everything you could want in a beach vacation. The dining experiences were also wonderful. Great food, drinks and service all around.
Be the first to ReplyA serene hotel and spa
A beautiful and peaceful resort. Very Zen. Very luxurious. You fly by private Air Lanai. You get picked up by the resort car (a tesla), the grounds are incredible with the most beautiful sculptures ( they spent millions on the landscaping and art). Rooms are nice. You can sign up for a tour of the gardens and it is very interesting. The food is very Japanese inspired and super healthy and delicious. The spa is what sets this resort apart. For treatments you go to your private pavilion. The pavilions are super luxurious and spacious. Japanese inspired decor there as well. The most beautiful plunge pool and jacuzzi. Amazing treatments. The main pool is built to resemble a lagoon. You swim and admire the most beautiful garden. The only negative is that since the resort is a bit elevated in altitude, it is a bit windier and cooler than the Four Seasons on the coast. Also there is not much to do except to relax, meditate, spa etc…. This is what we were looking for and we loved it. For the second half of our stay we checked in to the Four Seasons on the beach and were disappointed with it.

Well I hate to let people know how wonderful this resort is because I want to keep it a secret. I never leave reviews but this hotel deserves five stars. I have been to the Lanai five season four times and each visit gets better.I have stayed at the other Four Seasons in Hawaii and had my wedding at the Maui Four seasons but nothing compares. The rooms are spectacular. The service is stellar. From the moment you step off the plane you are pampered. You are made to feel so special. I had not seen Moshe, one of the hotel managers in 10 months . I was walking in the lobby and he greeted me by my name. If you want a heavenly experience treat yourself to this hotel!

My review of this resort is a lengthy one - disclaimer: this place is hands down the best resort we have ever stayed at. The overall resort and island: We arrived through the Lanai Air private jet - this experience in itself was surreal, with the Lanai Tesla waiting outside the jet for us on arrival to take us to the resort. We were truly treated like royalty. The resort is beautiful - it is a 'zen' place - perfect for couples or new families who just need a break from the outside world. Its great that the FS is the only hotel chain on the island (this and the Sensai hotel in central Lanai). The resort has an adult pool and a family pool, both with hot tubs of their own and a private beach. Generally, we found the entire resort to be relatively quiet when we went in May 2022 for our honeymoon. It was lovely and we really did get to relax. The hotel is surrounded by gardens and greenery and the theming of the hotel was beautiful. Our room: We had a beautiful ocean view room - the size was great, very spacious with a lovely balcony too. The bathrooms are also huge with a full bathtub as well as a shower. The automated toilets were a fun experience. The food: Breakfast was included for us in our booking as we booked through one of the FS travel agents. Breakfast is located in One Forty restaurant every morning - its a table service breakfast but with a very extensive menu. The staff are happy to make things which aren't on the menu for you - generally, if they have the ingredients, they are happy to make anything! We dined at every restaurant in this hotel. One Forty, Nobu, Malibu Farm, The Views, and The Break. EVERY single restaurant was phenomenal - food was beyond incredible and the service everywhere was really at a high standard, just like you'd expect from the FS. In particular, we opted for the Nobu Omakese experience - I HIGHLY recommend this for families or couples who want a bespoke and special dining experience. Chef Hung Nguyen's food was mouth-watering - we really didn't want the meal to end. The staff and the team: This is really what made our experience so perfect, for a trip as special as our honeymoon. Kayla welcomed us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the resort - she was so helpful, we couldn't thank her enough for looking after us so well. Larissa at Malibu Farm, Joy and Patrick at The Break were lovely and welcomed us on our first day at each restaurant. Joy was such a delightful waitress at The Break - she gave us honest opinions of each dish, which ones she would recommend and boy she was spot on!!! Mayra and John - our masseuses were great, we had the most relaxing spa experience here with wonderful massages. A special thanks to Sean (F&B Director), Avi (resort manager) and Richard (AD of rooms) who made our stay so memorable. they looked after us throughout our entire stay, checked up on us multiple times to make sure we were having a great time and they really went out of their way to do the small things which made the stay perfect. To summarise, we have stayed at many Four Seasons and Ritz Carltons - this was hands down the best one... nothing even comes close. If you want true luxury, this is the place you are after and I can see why its rated as one of the best resorts in the world. We will never forget this experience.

I visited Maui to celebrate my birthday. This was my first time visiting Hawaii and I was very excited. A local friend of mine and I decided to visit Lanai for the day. Once we arrived we asked several people on the island where the best place was to have lunch and they recommended the Four Seasons. When we arrived at the restaurant the woman near the sandwiches welcomed us and said we could take a seat anywhere we wanted. She didn't ask us if were guests of the hotel or if we were visiting for lunch. We went ahead and took a seat and when our server arrived she asked us if we were staying there. We said "no" and that we were just here for lunch. She proceeded to leave and then the woman who greeted us approached us and let us know that we could not have lunch there. She let us know the restaurant was only for guests and we had to leave. She said that if wanted we could order some of the sandwiches that were displayed at the entrance. The way she handled this was incredibly unprofessional and not what you would expect from a Four Seasons Hotel. I felt embraced by the way she treated us. I've worked in the hotel industry before and this is not how you treat anybody. This could have been handled way more considerately and professionally. I also work in marketing in the yachting industry in the San Francisco Bay Area. The biggest form of marketing a business can have is word of mouth and creating an excellent experience for everyone - as you never know if they may be future guests. With the way this woman treated us, she lost 2 future patrons to the hotel. I will also not be recommending this hotel to any of my clients. If you want to be treated with consideration, dignity, and respect go somewhere else.
