We recommend!
What to say? We were received like kings, the staff, including Kim, took great care throughout the dinner, the Manager often came to ensure that our experience was going well, the food was excellent, the setting magnificent... in short, it was sublime.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing summer vibe with extraordinary service
The food here are amazing. Menu changes every six months so don’t miss the chance to try their exclusive food… I missed the blue cheese and this time come for snails and pavlova. The environment is nice especially in summer time, really calm and quiet. Service are extraordinary, thanks for the recommendation from Manjil I have an amazing experience even solo. 😆 the last order is 10 pm but u can have drinks till 2am!!! After food don’t hesitate to walk around the empty Louvre. Can’t think of better experience in Abu Dhabi. ☺️

Incredible food and service. The dessert was amazing too. Gous was one of the three servers who gave amazing recommendations.
Be the first to ReplyA Forgettable and Unnoteworthy Dining Experience
I wish I could go back in time and change the restaurant we chose to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday! We went to Fouquet's last evening based on a good friend's recommendation, and unfortunately it was a forgettable experience. Fine Dining is a restaurant concept that offers guests the finest in service, atmosphere and food. Fouquet's was lacking in all three fields! Now the details...... Nestled inside the Louvre Museum, Abu Dhabi, Valet Parking was available and complimentary. A golf cart transported my family of five to the outer gates of what felt like entering a 'sanctum sanctorum,' or better yet a secure castle! Going through the security protocol, emptying pockets, getting belongings scanned felt a bit too much and over the top just to get to the restaurant for a dinner! On the other side of the heavy security gates, there was another gold cart waiting for us to drive us to the second and final leg of the drive to the restaurant doors. The welcome was tepid at best! We were walked into the restaurant and offered a couple of choices of tables to choose from , while most of the restaurant was quite empty, relatively speaking. A fine dining experience is incomplete without an excellent ambiance, and by no means would I qualify Fouquet's atmosphere as being that. We were seated quite close to the large doors that opened to the outside seating area, and these doors were kept open for unclear reasons letting warm air/mosquitoes in. While the decor was above average, it didn't scream fine dining! (some of the tables were partly set, some not at all, as an example) After ordering our five mains from the menu, confirming that those would be filling and adequate with the serving staff, and ordering the desserts in advance (to save time at the end), we waited, and waited.... A bread basket came out, with mini french baguettes / and sourdough slices, with the mini baguettes that definitely were not fresh!! They were hard and rubbery. (the birthday girl on the first bite got one of the crowns of her tooth dislodged and out, which understandably was unpleasant!) My grownup children asked for another bread basket while waiting for the mains to show up as hunger was getting the better of them, with all their patience.(and it was good in retrospect that they filled themselves partly with bread, otherwise they would go hungry!) The mains showed up, and it was a struggle for the staff to place them as they had not cleared the table of the plates that were on the table from the bread course. It was a bit chaotic to say the least! My seventeen year old daughter who is a pasta connoisseur and has had all different kinds all over the world was looking forward to her Gnnochi Main Course and was so disappointed by the meager portion, and odd additions to the sauce. It really was smaller than an appetizer course, and we counted a total of eight Gnnochi in the bowl. The sauce was salty, and oddly had lettuce pieces and red radish slices in it! Gnocchis de pommes de terre, as it appears on the menu, was a big disappointment!!! Escalope panée au panko, or Panko-breaded, fried chicken breast was decently cooked, but on the dry side, and the whole dish looked incomplete and incoherent. The warm chicken had been served over a dressed Rocca salad and a whole of 3 cherry tomatoes sliced in half to have a total of six half pieces of tomato in the expectedly soggy and unappealing salad.(consider putting the salad on the side of the plate so that the dressed salad with a warm/hot piece of fried chicken breast on it does not wilt the greens, and consider completing the dish as a main with a puree of parspnips, or potatoes or cauliflower etc. )The dish as presented with a lemon on the side looked so sad! We had ordered two portions of the Suprême de volaille fermière, crème de morilles! Again, the dish seemed weirdly plated with the chicken breast served in a fancy soup bowl sitting on top of the frugal sauce with bits of what looked and tasted like chicory or radicchio, with the sparingly buttered (however smooth) mashed potato served in another plain white dish. One serving came with poorly rendered fat on the chicken, that was hanging and unappealing, but with perfectly tender and moist chicken. The other portion, which my wife and I tucked in had a chicken breast that was pink and raw inside, and barely warm! This was a big turn-off for us! This was not expected or acceptable! To the credit of the staff, they acknowledged it, whisked it away, and replaced it with another portion, that was prepared well. On the down side, the expectedly rich morel cream sauce was lacking in richness and volume with three pieces of baby morels in the sauce, with only a very subtle morel flavour. It would have been desirable to have an adequate amount of sauce to compliment the dish, and possibly served on the side. Again, the garnish with lettuce, as was with the Gnnochi Course was unappealing texturally, and distracted from enjoying the dish. Linguine aux gambas (Linguine with prawns, cherry tomatoes and spinach) was a beautifully executed dish, and probably was the best bite of the night. We ended up ordering a second portion of the same, with the second portion coming out piping hot, but over seasoned with salt. (still enjoyable!) The prawns were deliciously succulent though! (Please, as a fine ding restaurant, ask the guest how they would like their pasta cooked, Al Dente, or otherwise) Then came the wait for the desserts.....It seemed forever, to the point of me getting up two times to enquire about the same. The staff to their credit put a birthday candle on one of the dessert courses we had ordered (Biscuit soufflé au chocolat) and sang the birthday song, which was a nice touch and appreciated. Biscuit soufflé au chocolat.(Venezuela 72% cocoa chocolate souffle biscuit, vanilla ice cream) had to be the weirdest souffle /ice cream presentation, that we have had. The souffle biscuit was overcooked, presented in an unattractive way, with the vanilla ice-cream in the middle of the biscuit reduced to a milky soup by the time it reached the table. There was nothing right about this dessert as put together or how it tasted with the souffle biscuit being rescued from the liquidly mess of the completely melted vanilla ice cream! It wasn't a souffle, it wasn't a cake, and it wasn't what one would qualify as a biscuit! Weird! The Choux pastry filled with vanilla ice cream, hot chocolate sauce, whipped cream and almond flakes was just okay. While being a bit attractive in it's presentation, it was off on proportions of the Choux pastry (tiny) to the vanilla ice cream. Without giving the sauce on the side, the server immediately put the very hot chocolate sauce on the entire dessert, leaving us to serve rapidly melting ice-cream/milk soupy mess with the now already soggy Choux pastry. It almost felt like that the vanilla ice cream used in this dessert and the "Souffle" had been sitting out for some time. We ordered two portions of the Crème brûlée, and out of the desserts we ordered, these were the best bites. Even here, there was inconsistency though, with one of the servings being a bit runny in the middle, and the other being a perfectly set custard. We however finished every last bit of these custards, as we were still hungry! (thank God for the two bread baskets earlier, even though it cost my wife a tooth crown!!) Maybe we faltered at ordering the wrong dishes. May be it was not the best of night's for the kitchen/serving staff. Maybe Fouquet's is better than we came to conclude it was. Whatever it was, we could not consider it a memorable or a fine dining experience. Our experience could not tick the qualities one looks for in a Fine Dining Restaurant ; the dishes did not seemed to be expertly prepared and a few were a miss--the ridiculously small portion of the Gnnochi in the mains, the undercooked/raw center of the chicken in one of the mains, the variable seasoning / temperature in the same main dish, the disconnected and unappealing / uncreative presentations of some of the mains were regrettable; the mostly disappointing, undeservingly expensive dessert courses; the attention to details was lacking; the service was a bit chaotic, a lot slow, and not exceptional by any stretch of the imagination as would be expected in a Fine Dining restaurant; the atmosphere was not distinctive, and the lack of private dining rooms for a families coming to celebrate a special event diminished from the experience of luxury and exclusivity! I am glad we didn't try the appetizers! Need I say more. When we choose to have a fine dining experience, we are willing to accept the high cost, but also expect a more sophisticated, unique, and a first-rate experience. While not failing with the cost, Fouquet's, unfortunately was unsuccessful to impress with the latter expectations. It is important to mention here, lastly, that our youngest son (thirteen), got may mosquito bites through the dining experience, as did my wife a few on her feet. Kindly consider leaving the door connecting the outside seating to the inside closed as much as possible, or address the mosquito problem in the outside seating area. I would give our experience a two and a half, as the expectations were high, and it was a special celebration, but while giving a three out of generosity, I am sure our points have gone across. I hope my friend who recommended Fouquet's highly does not read this review of mine!

We returned to Fouquet's last night and once again the magic happened. From arrival at the restaurant under the dome of the Louvre to dessert, everything is done to feel French refinement. On the table side, the snails, fried squid and especially the crab salad went perfectly with a Pouilly-fumé, to continue, an Aïoli and a sole cut and served at the table, and to finish, a pavlova and a crepe suzette at new outbreak before us. All lulled by the suave voice of an excellent singer. For details, the photos will speak for themselves.

Very tasty place! Beautiful, fast, cool. The only thing is the price tag is much higher than average. It's definitely worth a visit once.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food at a perfect location
We had the business lunch, the price according to the quality and the portions of the food are very reasonable. Special thanks to our waiter (M. Goos) for the perfect service. The only negative point was that the receptionist at the main entrance (valet parking) was not there yet to receive us and we had to wait.

Everything is very tasty, great service! Children's menu. A must visit if you find yourself in the Louvre. There are dishes not only of French cuisine, but also Italian.

Extraordinary venue, awesome food, world-class service - everything was top-notch. The only downside is that the restaurant needs to prepare for the surprise visit of mosquitoes that have emerged due to the rare rains in Abu Dhabi today.

Marta Bar is fantastic. Kasun made our experience exceptional. Simply the best bar on the island. Come enjoy relax drink.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Food in An Amazing Location
Fouquet's Abu Dhabi is located in the Louvre Abu Dhabi museum, which in itself makes for a wonderful location. You don't have to purchase tickets for the museum to enjoy the restaurant, but if you have never visited the museum, I would suggest you do go. The museum has been open for 10 years now, and it is still as spectacular as when it first opened, especially the open air dome designed by architect Jean Nouvel. Surrounded by water, the outdoor spaces are incredibly relaxing and serene, which only adds to the appeal of the restaurant, especially the outdoor seating of the restaurant! My husband and I had not booked a table, but they were happy to accommodate us outside, but I would recommend that you do book a table as it clearly was a popular restaurant when we visited. The staff were so kind and attentive and allowed us to spend as much time at the table as we wanted, as we had a late lunch and watched the sun go down over the city. Lovely linen table cloths, with a basket of fresh bread and French butter served before our food was ordered. The food was wonderful and presented so well - I had the Onion Soup and a side order of Potato Gratin Dauphinois and my husband had the Cheese Platter. My husband got to choose the cheeses he wanted and the waitress was generous with the amount she gave him. We both had dessert as well - I had the Crepes Suzette (a favourite of mine but rarely seen on menus these days) and my husband had the Parisian Coated Brioche with Cinnamon Ice Cream. Again, these dishes were faultless - with my dessert cooked at the table. Will we go back - no doubt about it - for the food, location and service, it was well worth every dirham!!!

Excellent food. We sat on the balcony and enjoy gorgeous views across the water - a wonderful addition to the Louvre art experience

My husband booked for a table 2 weeks in advance. He specified an indoor table. When we arrived we gave the hostess the name we booked under. She seated us in this tiny corner away from the other main tables because she said the other tables were all reserved. This table had less atmosphere than the others and staff were constantly walking past in the way to the kitchen. The staff were scrubbing tables and carpet around us during our main course. Our waiter was friendly but forgetful. The food was decent but very expensive. We had told them it was our anniversary twice prior to arrival after they had specifically called to ask if there was an occasion and yet no one bothered to wish us a happy anniversary.
Be the first to ReplyA delicious break to the Louvre Museum!
It was a very successful and delicious French restaurant. After spending a pleasant time in the Louvre museum, we chose to relax and have a snack. Fish and Chips was very successful and satisfying! Desserts are also great.

Be the first to ReplyFrom the middle east Louvre - ( Abudhabi) Yummy French feast to your mouth! Can say taste magic!
If you can ref. Collins dictionary FOUQUET means an admirable noun like Jean or Jahan or Nicolas. Like wise starters or main course or Soup'n'salads , you imagine & chant a item from their menu, Fouquet team starts their miraculous show of FOOD SPREAD. I really appreciate the overall food rhythms ( quality quantity, taste & hygiene) of this restaurent - that too mind blowing water Bank view serene seats. Appreciating staff as they never stick to their routine menu and offering tailor made taste bud solutions. My today food us a Best example as at Cheese platter I am doubt on which cheese to select & surprisingly all five cheese variants demoed in full size to my table to taste a precise & select. Coffee with milk also left a lavish memory in my 'so far' had good coffees list. Appreciating whole team for their spectacular show of presenting food in a prism of great art.
Be the first to ReplyGreat French restaurant in Abu Dhabi
After checking out the Louvre in Abu Dhabi, we stumbled upon this restaurant right next to it. It is very upscale, and a bit pricy, but the food was very good and authentic. It did take some time for the food to come, but we all enjoyed it immensely.
Be the first to ReplyA surprisingly refined slice of France in a stunning location
I had lunch at Fouquet's at the start of my first time visiting the Louvre Abu Dhabi. I reserved our table long in advance, but it wasn't overly busy, and I think we would have been fine walking up and asking for a table. I'll say this—all those people at the museum that day, not having a meal at Fouquet's, didn't know what they were missing.
We had an outside table. At that time of day, and that season (late March), it was shaded and fine even for someone like me who doesn't do well in the sun for long periods. The views are very, very good. Not perfect; the Louvre is adjacent to a working industrial port. But still—it's the Arabian Gulf. You can't go wrong.
We both had the French onion soup and it was in my top two or three ever for that dish. The onion was perfectly grated—not too coarse, not too fine—and it just came together beautifully. I had the sole meunière and it was also in my top two or three. One of the best aspects was the presentation, which was extremely elegant as the server expertly deboned the sole and removed it from the pan at the table.
I had the millefeuille for dessert. It didn't disappoint.
The thing I would emphasize is how refined the service was. It truly felt like we were in a very high-end French brasserie with a well-trained staff.
Whenever I'm in Abu Dhabi, I won't miss a meal at Fouquet's. It's that good.
Pleasant place
Enjoyed a pleasant open air lunch at Fouquet’s.
Lamb was good and ratatouille extremely good. Absolutely excellent coffee.
Recommended.
