Good office food.
We really came here for dinner and were advised to get a whole chicken with rice and black beans. The chicken was really good and well-priced. We may be back. Note: The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance, and we liked the comfortable layout

First time trying this as I keep seeing this place pop up all around the city, so I was intrigued. They had recently updated their menu so I got the Bueno Bowl 2.0 ($14). Not sure what makes this the 2.0, but this one consisted of Brown Rice, Avocado, Black Beans, Tomatoes, Tortilla Strips, and Chipotle BBQ. The rice was pretty dry, but was helped thanks to the chicken being on top with the sauce dumped on top. Overall tastes good, but I was not full after I was finished. I guess that means I'm getting ice cream somewhere else or a pastry somewhere.
Be the first to ReplyPlace is awful.
Was deciding between here and chipotle on 52nd and made the worst decision. Got a basic chicken Caesar wrap. Chicken was dry and disgusting and the wrap was stale. Mac and cheese was cold. All for 20.00? Willl never go back again. Check back on this review in 6 months place will be closed down. Guaranteed.
Be the first to ReplyWhy was this actually so shockingly good.
There's so much fast casual restaurants like this because of the number of office buildings here but everything tastes roughly the same, #OfficeFood. I didn't have high hopes going to Fields Good Chicken but this was shockingly delicious! I ordered the 1/4 Leg & Thigh with Lemon Kale, Charred Sweet Potatoes, and Honey Spiced Carrots. At first when they asked me what sauce I wanted, I was a bit worried that they were going to pour the sauce all over the plate but thank god they packed it on the side so that all the flavors of each individual item wouldn't be diluted. The chicken, first of all, was so incredibly tender and full of flavor - it was better marinated than any Popeyes, Cane's, Boston Market, etc. could ever. The carrots were okay, but the sweet potatoes were absolutely to die for with its crispy skin and soft and melty insides. The Lemon Kale also was absolutely delicious as it was so full of flavor, I could have just eaten this as a salad alone. Overall, incredibly impressed with Fields Good Chicken and this may or may not be my to-go place for food in the future. Also their portion sizes were huge, I couldn't finish the entire thing in a meal.

We turned up at 8:45pm asked an employee what time they close. He told us 10pm. For the next 45mins our excited kids talked about what they wanted to get from the menu while we ran and grabbed some items from Paris baguette just round the corner. We rentered at 9:25pm, passed the employee entotying the trash. To wait at the check out from another 5 or so minutes for someone to show up and serve us. Turns out, it was 9:32pm exact. Because they then said "sorry our manager has said we are closed. The kitchens closed. I replied but you told us 10pm. "No we close at 930".Not only did the first employee tell us the wrong time. They purposely all hid in the kitchen for 5 mins to not serve us. Manager then had a complete attitude - debating that I had been there for longer than 2 mins. Awful service. Oh and the guy changing the trash didn't wear gloves when going back round the counter to then move the food. Hopefully he was throwing it in the same trash...

If you want something healthy in NYC you've found the right spot. I created my own bowl. The chicken thighs were extremely juicy and flavorful, the rice was cooked tender, the sweet potatoes were cubed and lightly seasoned, and the broccoli was tender and lightly seasoned as well. The service was insanely fast. From ordering to leaving took only 5 minutes. The staff was extremely nice. The restaurant was clean and tidy.

I had heard about this spot before the pandemic and remembered they were all about chicken sandwiches. When I checked the menu, I saw they completely rebranded! I'm all about eating healthy (for the most part) so this was perfect for me.I ordered a quarter chicken with two sides (brown rice and smashed potatoes). Tasty, but next time I'm gonna opt for mac and cheese!
Be the first to ReplyGreat easy meals and delicious.
The chicken is flavorful and not oily. The chicken has some skin on it, which is really tasty, but easy to remove if you don't eat skin. The vegetable sides are yummy also. The broccoli is good. The smashed potatoes goes great with the chicken. I don't eat mashed potatoes, but this version seems much healthier without the mayo taste. The sweet potatoes are delicious. This location is very conveniently located by the E/M/6 train station at the end of the block. The restaurant is mid-block and is quieter at night.

I order the Mojo Chicken Thigh with roasted broccoli garlic and sweet potatoes. The broccoli had no garlic and was very dry and burnt. I only received regular potatoes. The chicken was fatty and all dark meat. I was hoping I'd like this place but unfortunately I won't be ordering from here anymore. No seasoning on anything. The cornbread stuck to the root of my mouth. They were quick with delivery which is why I gave them 3 stars. Maybe it was just a bad day.

Really delicious and healthy!I ordered grilled chicken with sides of cauliflower, carrots, black beans and cornbread. All were excellent. In addition, (1) I placed my order online and picked it up at a shelf right by the door, without having to wait at all, and (2) the silverware was wrapped in plastic (so I didn't have to wash it once I got back to the office). So it was really quick and convenient.Thank you very much. I'll be back. NOTE: I had walked by this location ever since it opened but hadn't tried it due to "d*mn" being used in its logo; using profanity resulted in less business, in my case.
Be the first to ReplyThe roasted chicken at Fields is not just good.
..It's da** good! Service is with a smile of the eyes and with adherence to all covid-19 precautions. A half a chicken with a side of smashed red potatoes and kale with lemon vinegraitte were sharable for two. An order for two cornbread supplemented the one with the platter. The green goddess dip is Greek homemade sauce and chicken blends well with it.. Carryout back to temporary lodging (in town for Sloan Kettering Cancer Center) and a meal that hit the spot, with enough for the next day. Military discount saved a few dollars. We will be back. Sloan-Kettering Outpatient Pavilion is just around the corner, perfect situation for appointments, meals, and lodging close proximity to each other.

While walking to another restaurant, my coworkers and I saw Field Good Chicken and decided to try it out. If I had to describe the type of food Fields Good Chicken is, it would be healthy fast casual. Order:- Oven Roasted leg & Thigh, Arugula & Herb Smashed Potatoes, Tangy BBQ (4/5)Pros:- Healthier options to choose from compared to a lot of other fast casual places - Good options of different cuts of the chicken - Chicken was nicely seasoned and moist Cons:- Sides were kinda lackluster Overall: While the chicken was good, I wasn't all that impressed with my meal. It's good for what it is.

Its a pretty good range for good healthy food but the chicken is very dry! Since chicken is their expertise you would expect the chicken to taste better than their sides. The sides especially the broccoli tastes really good! I had my bowl with rice and the rice is undercooked so i bit on some hard pieces of rice but this place just opened so I will visit again to try other sides!
Be the first to ReplyWasn't impressed.
Things were somewhat disorganized. Chicken was just OK and sides were lacking for sure. Overall for the money not a great option. Was hoping for so much more!!
Be the first to ReplyI tried this yesterday.
I am a chicken connoisseur so obviously was curious. I thought the chicken tasted pretty good, the meat was moist and had good seasoning on the skin (but certainly not the best I've ever had by any means). I liked the sides, thought they were equal to the main. I liked the speed of service, took them just a few minutes to call my order (maybe will change if they get busier over time), liked the Tupperware to go vessel, a lot of places skimp on their to-go materials and pleased they did not make that mistake here. Food is a four star review, logistics (see below) brings it down to 3. Two complaints:Haven't you guys heard there's a chicken sandwich craze out there? No chicken sammies?! I think they should rectify that and get with the times. You've got the chicken lettuce and the pickles. Bread, mayo, done. Bowls are platters are fine, but sammies are superior. just ask Popeyes. The bag-your-own-lunch system is really horribly planned. The paper bags are impossible to unfold while holding a your chicken dish. So you need two hands. There is no shelf where someone could say put down their food, open bag, place food inside, leave peacefully. Check out the long shelf space dig inn provides customers to bag their lunch without issue or being rushed by other people. Critical. Instead you have to dump your food container in top of the plastic spoons and forks to free your hands while people pile up near you trying to do the same thing. So the last thought you leave with is Why did these amateurs put me through this dumb exercise? It would be 5x faster for them to bag it before handing you the food. The bag itself doesn't fit the shape of the container, so you have to make a horizontal situation with your food and basically hold it with two hands the entire way home (again rather than say dig inn with handled bags that vertically fit your food perfectly). Good luck! Given the inconvenience of bagging your food in this non-space, I don't think I'd rush back.
Be the first to ReplyBrand new location near my office.
We always love when a new place opens for the crazy lunch hour and it's even better when they're on MealPal (this location isn't on there just yet but they will be). This location is small but definitely more a grab and go type of spot. The wait was about 10 minutes but it gave me time to look over the menu. I ended up going with the bueno bowl which is sliced chicken thigh with guac, brown rice, and black beans. The wait to get the food after ordering was a bit longer since it was their second day being open but they made it work and had tons of employees on hand to keep everyone and everything under control. My bueno bowl was good, filling, and full of flavor. I would definitely get it again. They also offer other types of bowls along with a make your own type of menu. The food is fresh and the people are friendly.

The first time at Field Good and I didn't know what to get and so I played it safe and I asked the nice girl at the counter to hook me up and that she did. She gave me a big tray filled to the rim, I saw Boneless Chicken Breast, Sweet Potatoes Mash, Mac & Cheese, Brown Sugar Blondie, Quinoa, Cucumber, and sauce and more stuff in the bottom of my tray for less than $18. They do have other combos and bowls for less that limited to two sides, etc., The chicken was the best part, a well-cooked chared on the skin side and seasoned with to taste. I was thinking I had cornbread but it was more like a brown brownie. Mac&Cheese needed a cheese that has a flavor. Sweet Potatoes where better than OK.I didn't finish it, but I am a Fried Chicken guy so I don't hold that against Fields Good. This place will be a welcome addition to the neighborhood from what I got and the service was really good.
