Never disappoints! Fausto is not just a community gem but should be a destination for everyone in NYC looking to experience fine Italian cuisine with an excellent and approachable wine list!!

Unique /true Italian style , with great service The menu is only one page but has nice variety of platters As appetizers we get the cauliflower and the stracciatella both were tasty full of savory flavors And then capellini Nero ( delicious black squid ink pasta with shrimp :was delicious but has a bit of spicy flavor. The oreccietta was delicious as well , whole wheat chitarra( this platter was amazingly delicious with egg yolk Black bass was ok For dessert olive oil cake covered with marmalade and vanilla panna cotta was outstanding Recommend!
Be the first to Replygorgeous italian restaurant near barclays.
it's modern, sleek and elegant. i recommend a res - you may be able to even get one day of if you're flexible on time. the food was phenomenal. we started with the mixed chicory with the chilled red - a zinfandel blend - then had the orecchiette with a full bodied spicy lombardi. we then got the scallops, reverting back to the zinfandel. it's a great place for any special, romantic occassions
Be the first to ReplyLove, love, love Fausto.
My fave restaurant in Brooklyn. Great food, cocktails and service every single time.
Be the first to ReplyQuality dining with truly Italian fare.
Bolognese is authentic, not just meat sauce. Wine list is off the charts, somewhat expensive but you'll find bottles very hard to find elsewhere. Atmo is upscale/casual. Fun to pop in at the bar for robust cocktails and appies!

I don't say this about many places, but I'd 110% go back here especially for this pasta. Ambience was also great! Very cozy for a winter night out.
Be the first to ReplyFirst off, I can't believe this place only has four stars.
Dined there Thanksgiving weekend and I was so impressed that I immediately booked a table for a birthday two weeks later. Where to begin! On a menu in which everything sounds outstanding, the house-made pastas are the stars. It was tough settling on just one, but I had the tagliatelle w/ veal bolognese (basically licked the bowl), while my friends had the pappardelle w/ lamb ragu and the whole wheat chitarra w/ wild mushrooms & egg yolk, both of which were just as delicious. In fact, I liked the chitarra so much, I got an order to go and had it for lunch the next day! The cocktail menu provided another dilemma -- they all sounded so good! I had the Paper Plane, a bourbon-based concoction with several other ingredients that sounded fancy and Italian, none of which I had ever heard of in my life. It was scrumptious. Oh, and let's talk about the service for a second... So when I booked the birthday dinner, I mentioned that we were celebrating. As soon as we were seated, a waiter came over and poured us each a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. See, it's touches like that that make people love a place and want to return again and again.

Fausto was lovely! We made a res for a party of 4 on a Saturday evening day of, though it was the weekend following Thanksgiving so maybe normally this wouldn't be possible. We ordered a couple apps (cauliflower, arancini, and focaccia) and 4 pastas (pappardelle, paccheri, capellini nero, and chitarra) to share. This was a perfect amount of food. Mt favorites: the cauliflower (loved the anchovy caper vinaigrette) and the paccheri (delicious lemony flavor) I'd say our experience was a 4.5 out of 5 because we had to wait a little while for our table to be ready despite having a res, and the coursing timing was a bit off (we had to wait longer than we waited to between the first and second round of pastas). Otherwise everything was fantastic. Would recommend and would go back!

We find ourselves going back frequently. The servers are always attentive and friendly, and the food is very good. I recommend the chicken entree, but the pastas are always a winner as well.

I ordered the antipasto Cauliflower salad and I'm so glad I did! It's a great mix of flavors with cooked and raw cauliflower. I've had cooked cauliflower flower that was flavorless and too raw; this dish is the opposite. Flavorful and crisp without being too raw. The sauce/dressing is a great complement.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Italian food with Cozy seating and Great service.
Located in the heart of Brooklyn walking distance from the Barclays center. Good for intimate date or just a cozy dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyHad dinner at Fausto on Saturday evening.
Our dinner included a single excellent dish, the meal as a whole however was inconsistent.Quality: One dish was great. The Whole Wheat Chitarra, with mixed mushrooms and egg yolk is a star. The flavor combination, the pasta quality, and the texture were perfect. The egg yolk added a nice component as well. I wouldn't run back for anything else we had. The Arancini was decent, appreciated the use of more mozzarella than usual in the dish. The Burrata was a mess, and one of the worst pairings I could imagine. The extremely bitter broccoli rabe overwhelmed the entire dish, and it was a small and unexciting ball of cheese. The Lumache, with wild boar ragu, was okay, but felt like the sauce needed either more sweetness or a bit of heat.Quantity: We ordered the perfect amount of food, the pasta dishes are pretty large.Value: $13 for the Arancini. $19 for the Burrata. $24 for the Whole Wheat Chitarra. $26 for the Lumache.Ambiance: Fausto is an Italian restaurant located in Prospect Heights. The space has an odd shape, which separates the dining room into two sections. There is the larger main area near the front, which is located next to the bar. Then there is a small cove of seating towards the back, close to the open kitchen. The music selection was dance and pop, which felt a little out of place in a more reserved restaurant.Crowd: Reservations are recommended, but you can definitely walk-in on most nights.Service: Friendly staff, the pacing of the meal was very quick.Parking: Decent street parking nearby.

The food was delicious. There wait staff was attentive and helpful. The dishes are fresh and come out rather quickly.

Great selection of pastas which were all very flavourful and excellent. The lamb ragu pasta, the shrimp pasta and the cauliflower starter were my favourites. The desserts were also very good especially the mozzarella ice cream. The service was also good.

The pasta at @faustobrooklyn are all house-made, and they're bomb! I especially loved the mushroom and egg yolk pasta. That whole wheat really hits differently! I think the appetizers and entrees are not as impressive, so I would suggest to really focus more on the pasta for your first visit here!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent all around.
Street parking. Reservations a must if want good table. Waiter very Italian and knowledgeable about food & wine.
Be the first to ReplyMediocre for a place so expensive.
Portions were small, cocktails were bland, and service was fine but not up to par. Little bit of a miss for me. Not terrible, but wouldn't come again personally.
Be the first to ReplyA wonderful dining experience all around.
Professional service with a friendly and attentive touch. Wait staff notes and anticipates your needs. Excellent timing of courses. So refreshing to have such excellent service. Food is delicious, creative and unique while still being authentic.Portions exactly right. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and service.
They have a few outdoor seats for the people who will probably never feel comfortable dining indoors like myself again (I know most people aren't where I'm at, but the continued offering of some outdoor seats is truly appreciated). Our multiple servers were very friendly and helpful. I had the orange wine which was delicious and tasted like juice, and my friend and I started with the focaccia and the arancini. Both were great but the arancini really knocked it out of the park. For ny main, I had the campanelle. It was very tasty, especially with the kick from the spicy lamp sausage. I definitely would recommend it. My friend had the orecchiette - I tried his and we both agreed it was a little salty. But the campanelle was just right and I'd totally get it again. I had gelato for dessert - it was good but I've had better gelato. I think I'd opt for the panna cotta next time instead. I would definitely return!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing! Booked table at the bar.
Menu is simple. All dishes were exceptional. Would come again and highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyI like the kids pasta and the salad.
I liked the little gem lettuce, but my parents always have to ask for extra dressing. We always run out with a normal-sized serving. I think because I eat a lot with the lettuce and cheese. I don't really like the almonds.

Have been talking about this place for over a year every time I pass by. Only saw their small outside seat, so when we finally arrived (indoors), was charmed by its modern, charming indoor space.Service was on point. We made reservations (via RESY) and got seated right away in their indoor space. We were a tiny bit concerned because of COVID but appreciated that they were checking vaccine cards. The menu was simple and easy to understand. We ordered a drink, gem salad, orecchiette over braised pork and kale, and fish w side sprout salad. The food came out in a timely manner and was well presented and very delicious. We were overly impressed with how the server was always in our area and poured us water before our water cup went to half. We checked in a few times. Other servers came to take away dishes we were finished with. Service was impeccable. Maybe too impeccable. The only thing was that the space was tight maybe just in our area so it did make us a bit nervous about COVID. Overall excellent experience. Definitely going back! Great for a nice occasion.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is top notch Italian.
House made pastas, rare ingredients, excellent recipes. After my first visit I came back for more within 3 days. The chefs are cool, when I complimented them they even shared one of their pasta recipes with me so I could try it at home. The bartender is super chill and friendly. However, there is something weird about the service. At best, it's a little "precious"....at worst, it's a little "racist." For example, I (a person of color) was standing directly in front of the maitre d'hotel for about 2 minutes and she ignored me, then proceeded to seat the group of white people who walked in after me. Later, when I ordered one of the more expensive reserve wines, the waitress asked me if it was an accident, and whether I had meant to order one of the cheaper wines with a similar name. It's hard to say whether these were micro-aggressions or just social faux-pas, but it was enough to leave me feeling a bit unsettled and thus giving 3 stars instead of 5. In future I'll just stick with take-out.
Be the first to ReplyFood was great.
Service was amazing. Love the ambiance and vibe. Sierra, at the bar, was amazing!!! Sit at the bar with her Thanks Sierra for a beautiful Easter meal! ~Matthew and Kurt
Be the first to ReplyCocktails were totally on point.
Leo the Man mixing sick cocktail beats behind the bar - crushed it. My buddy and I split the eggplant as an app - I was blown away by that dish. But, it didn't end there - the Lamb Shank? One of the top 5 dishes I've ever had in my life! There I said it! It felt weird to say over a Lamb but If you like a Shank don't walk - Rent a revel over to this spot asap and get your shank on. Trust me. A big, bold, crispy, juicy, dynamic and outrageously satisfying dish. Go! Oh and my buddies pasta was on yummy too.
