Listen- you don't go for the food.
It's good enough- fine even. It's what you think you'd get at a diner in Time Square- overpriced and nothing to write home about but who cares?Set reasonable expectations for the type of food they have here and for the wait staff...they are LITERALLY belting notes you wouldn't even dare in the shower, providing incredible performances, entertaining everyone's socks off, then immediately delivery fries to your table-- for the love of all who value & cherish the struggle of art and those who create it, please stop complaining about the wait staff in reviews. The way I look at it, the longer you have to wait for your bill/food, the more entertainment you get to take in! It's a bonus to stay here as long as possible- I'd freaking live here if I could. Went for the 1st time tonight- 100000% worth the wait in line. Our entire bill for 4 people, including tip, was $140. That's the cost of ONE Broadway ticket and the talent here is on par- not joking. Don't come starved and hangry, our service was pretty decent but that's not the point- eat a granola bar ahead of time for god's sake. YOU GO HERE FOR THE INCREDIBLE ENTERTAINMENT. If you're in a rush, if you want 5-star food, if you want to be able to converse nicely over dinner, if you want fast service, if you want to be seated quickly, go somewhere else and let all of us who want to be entertained by extremely talented performer get in even faster! If you want a once in a lifetime dining experience that is heavy on the "experience" and good enough on the "dining"- GO!!!!Also- have a 10 or 20 spot ready when the bucket is passed that goes to tip the performers. Don't say you don't have it in your budget to tip the entertainment, you're eating a $20 burger in one of the most expensive cities in the USA-- DON'T BE THAT GUY. You've got at least a $5 crinkled in the bottom of your jacket pocket (they take Vemo). Show your appreciation of the arts by showing appreciation of the artists! This place is all that is good about NYC. So lucky to have been able to have visited today.

If you like to be entertained while you eat, this is the place to go! All the waiters and waitresses take turns singing your favorite songs in between continuous coffee refills and an amazing breakfast.
Be the first to ReplyWent here on our first night to NYC.
The wait wasn't terribly long - about 30 minutes or so. Got a table for 5 and really enjoyed the entertainment. Which if you're going, you're going for this. The singing staff are amazing, and it's fun to hear the MC (I forgot his name, but loved him) got to share little stories about what Broadway shows they had worked on. I think my wife was a little disappointed we didn't hear anyone sing Defying Gravity, but we heard some other great Broadway songs + some other great pop/rock songs. The food is pricey, but again, you're paying for the show, not the food. Also, the portions are actually good sized!Worth going once, if you've got the time and money. We made sure to sit inside for a good 80-90 minutes so we could hear as many songs as possible, and take our time eating.
Be the first to ReplyGreat entertainment! The singers were excellent and fun.
The food was a let down though. The eggs Benedict was bland and cold when it arrived to the table. Also, it was my wife's birthday and the server informed us they don't do anything for birthdays... so she gave her a sticker with diners logo on it. Lol. I understand some places don't like to celebrate birthdays, but anything would have been better than a sticker. Complimentary mimosa? Dessert? That was an odd experience. A little later though she got on the mic and sang a song from a musical I didn't recognize but she killed it! 3 stars solely for the performers and fun environment.

We visit here everytime we go to New York. Line is always crazy so expect to wait. People go before they even open to get in line. To me it's worth the wait and experience. I love to watch the singing while eating. Servers are amazing and the ones singing! Food is great. I've never had anything bad.

Order: Cheeseburger with a cokThe burger had a lot of flavour and a good amount of salt the burger carried the diner. The restaurant has a very lively and friendly atmosphere but seating is very poor with you get really squeezed. After a while it gets way too uncomfortable and unpleasant.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely awful waiting experience.
Long line twisting around building at 9 o'clock at night. 33 degrees, snowing outside. You have to wait outside while freezing. Instead of putting heaters, or anything to comfort guests, there's nothing. To combat this issue, they could simply allow reservations, but no. You have to have over 20 people in a party. So you have wait outside in the cold while waiting for the mediocre food. Do not recommend.
Be the first to ReplyA fun place to eat and watch the serving staff sing.
While we were there two servers did a Wicked song. The entertainment is quite constant. The food was okay, nothing impressive. We had chicken fingers and onion rings and they were a bit too greasy but decent. As the servers are busy singing, getting proper service at your table can be tough. Be aware the singing is quite loud here so it's hard to have a conversation.

4I'm embarrassed as a local that I've been here. I've just walked by it so many times and I thought - Wow looks cool!It was cool. But then so is broadways giving me a better effect. So is many, many other bars that are probably better. They charge carbonara for $30. This is a "diner"! Guys, no.I really just strongly disliked that there were distracting music on all of the TVs unrelated to the singers' music as they sang. I recognize that the service staff was also the entertainment - however service was impossible to order & close the bill.I also thought that there would be more dancing. Honestly I'm just really embarrassed I came & am glad I never have to come back here again. If you go because it looks cool, just sip on a glass of wine. You can get better food elsewhere at half the price.
Be the first to ReplyGreat stop for breakfast in NYC.
It's very popular do be prepared to wait 30-45min to get. The servers are performers. And great vibes.
Be the first to ReplySuper fun place to visit when visiting NYC.
Went in February, and it was packed. The food was good, not super-special. But you go here for The show! The singing wait staff are incredible. We didn't have tickets to a show while we were in NY, but didn't need them after hearing these folks sing!

This is the closest thing you will get to a Broadway show for breakfast. Food was fantastic, but you don't come here for that.

The singing was good and we didn't have to wait in a long line. The food came super fast. I had an omelette and it was HUGE. However the servers didn't seem knowledgeable about gluten sensitivities / celiac. The decor is fun and kitschy but a bit dingy and cheugy. Like 00's retro instead of classic retro. Some stuff could definitely be cleaned. The table tops and floor are just meh looking. The bathroom is also freezing.
