We have eaten at Edgewood several times in the past.
Last year it was so good we thought about it months later. This past week, though, we had a really bad experience and so did the couple next to us. We ordered the duck risotto to start and the rice was severely undercooked. Not even al dente...it was hard. Probably had another ten minutes to go. We sent it back. The next appetizer we had was the scallops. They were only seared on one side and the other side was still raw. I understand that this is a technique, but coming from someone who cooks scallops at home all the time we just couldn't understand why both sides weren't seared. We sent these back and were so grossed out we decided to leave right then and there. Later, we saw the manager talking to a couple near us about their experience. We heard them also talking about the risotto being hard. Earlier, we were wondering why she had been staring at us, but we then realized it was because she was pissed and was watching our reactions to our food and discussions with our (same) waiter! The staff were very nice and these mishaps were not their fault. And perhaps this was an exception and not the norm, but we were really disappointed in our recent experience. What we are left wondering is what happened/changed? Did they have a new chef, kitchen, etc.? We do hope these things are addressed so we may give them another try someday...

7/22/23 Edgewood Restaurant is a definite 5 stars for the food, the service and the view. Zach made a reservation here for 7:45PM to celebrate our engagement earlier that day. The restaurant inside and out is veyy beautiful. There's a valet service which I'm not sure if it's mandatory or not, but Zach handed the valet guy the keys and we proceeded up the staircase inside. There are huge windows and an outdoor space you can walk to enjoy the view. We waited an extra 10 minutes to get a table right by the window, but it was worth the wait since the view was amazing. All of staff here are dressed very professionally and the service was truly outstanding. Aaron was our waiter that evening and he was great. Even the chairs are wonderful because they are so comfy and they support your back and shoulders. Here's what we got: - Bronzed sea scallops (to share) - French onion soup (his) - Lobster chowder (mine) - Veal chops (his) - Halibut (mine) - Fuji apple ginger sour (mine) We went all out since we were celebrating the engagement. The bread and butter they give you was phenomenal and honestly probably the best bread and butter I've ever had. They give you a variety of bread and the butter is so smooth and so creamy. We would go outside to enjoy the view and see the sunset when we were waiting for the food to come. Everything we had tasted amazing. Would definitely return!
Service attentive and filet cooked to perfection.
Comparable to Lone Eagle Grill in Incline except....no outdoor seating by fire for nightcap and dessert menu a bit too unique for my taste. Would definitely return but please add chocolate molten cake with berries or something traditional.
Great food with a view
This was our 2nd trip to Edgewood and they did not disappoint. Nancy was our server and was amazing! Super animated and knowledgeable about the menu. This place is expensive, but in my opinion, you get what you pay for when it comes to the food and amazing views. HIGHLY recommend!

Such a beautiful place to be able to enjoy with family and friends. I had gotten the cheeseburger and surprisingly it was really delicious. It wasn't dry. The bun was soft and buttery and the fries were at the right crisp. My son got the steak and eggs and he ate it all. My husband had gotten the French dip and he found it ok. Nothing special. The location is on a private lot, but while you get to enjoy the food you get to enjoy such a beautiful view. The staff members were attentive and friendly. Thank you for such a great experience.

I celebrated my Birthday here and the experience was FANTASTIC!!! They now have allergen labels on the menu. The hostess Elena was kind, and welcoming, she also went out of her way to take our photos. Our server Bill gave us excellent customer service, he was very attentive, and helped with our food allergies (Gluten, Dairy and Soy). My Husband, Son and I truly enjoyed our dinner, it was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Chef Matthew went out of his to make sure that we forgot that we had food allergies. The ambiance was lovely as well. They treated me like a Queen on my big Birthday.

2/11/2024 my original review was 8 years ago and I thought I'd better write another review. This restaurant still deserves 5 stars. The food is delicious and the service is impeccable. The view is amazing (schedule reservations around sunset). This is a place for a special date night or special occasion. Tonight i ordered the soup of the day which was potato leek and my husband ordered the Caesar salad. Main course was the branzino and the turbot. We also had the golden delicious dessert which meticulous and detailed to look like an apple. Shout out to Edward; he was attentive and offered great suggestions. We'll be back

The Edgewood Restaurant is incredible! We made reservations for two nights in a row while staying at the Edgewood Hotel. I would recommend making reservations if you're planning to eat here. The restaurant is popular and was packed both nights we were there. It is located in a separate building from the hotel, but is only a minute walk away. Both nights we were seated immediately upon arrival. The interior ambiance was beautiful and I only wish it didn't get dark so early in winter so that we could have enjoyed the view of the lake from their massive windows. Both nights the server we had was incredibly attentive, checking in with us after each dish was delivered. The first night we were there, we asked for some recommendations on what to order and it was really helpful to get the server's thoughts. Between the two nights in a row, we ordered quite a bit on the menu! We loved that each night the dinner started off with an assortment of complimentary freshly baked breads and butter. There was also a very small complimentary starter each night (a prosciutto wrapped blackberry one night and unfortunately I can't remember the second night starter!) For dinner on our first night, we started with the Poached Octopus and Pacific Yellowtail Crudo and the Foie Gras Saute. Both portion sizes were very small, so if you're looking to start with something heartier take a look at our second night appetizers described below. The crudo came with four slices of yellowtail and some small pieces of octopus on top. It was good, but not the best crudo we've had and I had difficulty tasting the truffle oil that was a part of the dish. The Foie Gras was nicely paired with roasted pears, which gave it a delicious balance of savory and sweet. For mains, I ordered the Pinecone Smoked Elk Loin and my partner ordered the Pan Seared Branzino. I'd never had elk before, but I had anticipated it to be gamey. I was so wrong. It wasn't gamey at all, so tender, and was prepared perfectly. The branzino was prepared differently than we imagined (we were expecting whole fish). The filets were laid across the vegetables drizzled in sauce. My boyfriend really enjoyed it although he wished the portion size was a little larger. Ultimately we both thought all the dishes were amazing, but we did leave the dinner a little hungry and wanting more. For dinner on our second night we decided to order some dishes that seemed to be more filling. We started with the Braised Duck Risotto and the Spring Squash and Lobster Chowder. The Duck Risotto was incredible- the duck was definitely the star in this dish. The lobster chowder was good, but nothing special and we would probably try the French Onion Soup instead on a future visit. For mains I ordered the Prime Steak Duo and my boyfriend ordered the Filet Mignon. Both were hearty portions and delicious, but after trying a bite of the Filet Mignon from my boyfriend's plate I wished I had ordered that over the prime steak duo. The quality and cut of the filet mignon was just beyond good. Both nights we were too full for dessert although we did enjoy some cocktails throughout the dinners - dirty martinis for me and whiskeys for my boyfriend. Delicious! We will definitely be back here in the future when we stay at the Edgewood again. These were both memorable and delicious dinners!

I was deeply impressed with the friendly and attentive service. Right from the beginning they acknowledged what we were celebrating and it felt like a nice touch as many restaurants tend to ask but none due anything with the information. When you walked in much like the hotel you get hit with the large scale windows facing the lake. I'd suggest earlier dinner so you can watch the sunset; however during the winter months this is a little harder. But the grand windows make it seem like you are dining in a great hall. The food was absolutely delicious, artful, proportional and in fact they accommodated some minor request we had. I would give this restaurant 5 stars except for one small detail in which they really dropped the ball which is with desserts. Now, I have patronage this place twice and both times I have been deeply disappointed with the desserts. The main thing is that it does not match the quality of the rest of the food. I am not sure what exactly the names of the dessert we had were(pictures attached) but both were dried, hard, almost frozen (the chocolate expresso) and had a mismatch of flavors. Probably the worst desserts I have had from this type of dining experience maybe ever. Other than that this place is almost a five star yelp dining experience!

We had the most horrific experince while dining at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort Restorant. We had a hugely long wait for our table ( booked for 7:45), followed by a totally inexperienced, rude and incompetant waitress, a lackster meal, which we never got to eat.... despite the $400 bill. As I (79 years old) returned to our table after ( 1 hou r to get table)visiting the downstairs bathroom.... then, after a 1 1/2 hour wait with NO FOOD, the "concierge" FREDRICK ,at the desk shouted at me to come over and tell him what seemed to be the problem with the service. I told him, calmly,that: " we had no food, 2 hour aftr our dinner reservation time, our incompetant waitress provided nothing( rolls, and not order yet)... just water! I informed him that we are locals, dined many times over 25 years for all our special events, but this was unacceptable. He gave me a bunch of excuses I walked, quietly away. 10 minuites later, 2 "bulked up goons" show up at our table" with "SECURITY GUARDS" tags, and DRAGGED my 83 year old husband out to the outside patio and harrass him..... "you are not welcome to ever come back to this property"...... He returned to our table, shaking, we paid our $400 bill, which we never got to eat one bit of our steaks, plus my 10 year old grandson was totally tramatized by the goo-squad!!! (Still not the end of their harrassment of 0ld folks.... as I left the lobby to get the car, anothe 300 poung 'GOON SECURITY STAFF" idiot, yelled at me " NEVER COME BACK HERE"!!!!
Exceeds Expectations
We went here for a family celebration and to enjoy the views. Well, the views were spectacular as expected. What was not expected was the excellent service and wonderful food. Far exceeded expectations.

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
