Interesting take of familiar dishes.
Got the "wok hei"Nice. Strolled by accident. Will definitely come again and try the very extensive menu.

They serve probably the worst dimsum I've ever tasted so far in Singapore, especially when you consider the price they put on there. $4.20 for 3 pieces of siew mais are not worth it, the texture is too toy-ish. The worst of all is probably the mango pomelo, they slapped a price of $5.50 with only a portion big enough to feed a baby; the taste is plain, no sweetness to it nor any bitterness. I spent a total of $36 for basically a set of plain tasting xiao long baos, toy-ish siew mais, decent-but-not-worth-the-price steamed pork and chicken claws, plain mango pomelo, average HK milk tea and a bottle of distilled water. At this price point, I might as well just spend my money to go and eat KBBQ. The only thing that is good, or probably helped them a bit was their nice waitresses there.

The restaurant was located across the street from the Sembawang Shopping Centre, next to the well known White Bee Hoon. It was around 6pm, and there was also queues at a number of eateries nearby. We decided on this place as it offered dim sum items during dinner time. Only cash payment is accepted here. There is no GST or service charge. We were lucky to grab the one of the last few tables available in the main dining area. Looked like most of the tables were reserved for 7pm dinner. Customers who came in after us, were mostly showed to tables in the back lane, which could be quite warm, with the sun shining.STEAMED CHICKEN CLAW 豉椒凤爪 ($3.30)The texture was too mushy. It did not seem to have made inhouse. Most likely taken from supplier.GARLIC FRIED PORK RIBS 蒜香排骨 ($8)The pork was like pork chop with bone. The meat was tender and flavourful, encased with a light layer of crispy batter, topped with lots of crispy chopped garlic. Very yummy.Pig Trotter with Ginger & Black Vinegar ($6)The dish was served with a boiled egg in it. Although braised with ginger and star anise, the flavour was not over powering and tasted with a touch of sweetness.Chef Special "Pao Fan" ($6.80)This was an interesting dish. The staff would pour the crispy rice bites on the boiling hot soup dish, causing the bites to sizzling on top of the dish. The dish was like teochew style savoury porridge, with dried seafood, crispy garlic, pork belly in it. Simple and home cooked feel."HONG KONG STYLE" ICE YUAN YANG 香港式冻鸳鸯 ($3.3)The drink was not bad, not too sweet, although I wished that the ice cubes was separated from the drink.
