Come for the food, stay for the view, leave with a full belly. Up to the 70th floor to one floor down, on the 69th floor you will find this brunch buffet. They welcome you with one complimentary sparkling beverage (we chose champagne). There were hits and misses with the food but those we enjoyed were prepared well: chimichurri steak cooked medium rare, omelette station, carnitas tacos, and a fresh seafood bar. Overall, a great brunch experience in LA.
Be the first to ReplyIt's the view and the pancakes for me.
We came here for Father's Day breakfast and it was good. Orange Juice was fresh squeezed, they had the brekky basics like scrambled eggs, pork & chicken sausage, bacon, oatmeal, an omelette station, cereal, etc. The pancakes are really good here but they couldn't keep it stocked fast enough. If you're afraid of heights, don't even think about it. You're so high up and surrounded by windows that it feels like you're one thin glass panel away from falling out. Ray was our server and he did a good job and kept our drinks filled and took our photos at the end. Definitely recommend brining out of towners here for a fancy breakfast experience that is uniquely L.A.!
Be the first to ReplySome of the worst breakfast service I've ever experienced.
If it were a greasy spoon diner, I would be disappointed but not mad. For a $55 breakfast, it was completely ridiculous. The table was filthy. The waiter didn't bring me water (which I specifically asked for) until after my food arrived. I wasn't offered a coffee refill until after I paid, and after my coffee had been empty for 30 minutes. The waiter took over 15 minutes to clear my table. And they include a mandatory service fee, so I couldn't even not tip. The views are amazing. The food is okay, but bad if you factor in the cost.

Went with the family for Sunday brunch, wow everyone had a great time! The views are amazing! Restaurant is very well-kept, and the staff is so welcoming! Food is great--don't expect it to change your life--but everything is fresh and presented nicely. There is a dessert area located in another room of the buffet, ask your server. Each brunch comes with mimosa for the adults. Tips: I booked my reservation in the Resy app. Parking is in the building, underground. The entrance "office parking" will lead you to the regular entrance as well. We chose valet parking ($16.50) but I saw an option for self parking too. The valet staff will tell you to take the elevator up 1 level to the lobby. Once there you make a right and walk all the way until you see the restaurant sign. Another staff will lead you to the elevators that will take you to the 70th floor. Once in the 70th floor they will show you to take a spiraling staircase down 1 level. The restaurant is on the 69th floor. ----I KNOW THIS SOUNDS LIKE A MAZE BUT TRUST ME ITS WORTH IT. Do not let my tips hinder you from experiencing this place! Brunch is $59 per person. I don't remember the kids pricing, I believe it's $35.

We came for Mother's Day and I guess the price for that day was extra. They charged $125 per person. The hotel valet was nice and professional same with the hostess who greeted us. We had call in advance to make sure that our late seating wouldn't be an issue regarding food availability. They informed us that although the restaurant closes at 3, we would still be able to stay until 4pm. Our reservations were at 2pm. The quality and options for the brunch buffet was not in alignment with the cost. The weekend brunch buffet at the Universal Hilton is significantly better with price and variety and quality of food choices. The service at the Hilton is also more attentive from the server. The food selection was either old or scarce. The dessert room was barren and what was left was old and messy looking. It is also disappointing that they automatically add a $45 tip to the bill especially when our server, Miguel, barely came to check in on us. We were clearing our own dirty plates. I gave 2 stars for the view.

Disappointing Experience at Dekkadance I recently dined and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Let me break down the issues I encountered: High Prices, Low Quality: Despite the hefty price tag, the quality of the food was shockingly subpar. It's disheartening when you pay a premium and receive lackluster dishes. The taste, presentation, and freshness were all disappointing. Stale Dessert Area: The dessert section was a letdown. The pastries and sweets seemed like they had been sitting out for hours. Freshness is crucial, especially in a buffet setting, but sadly, this was not the case here. Unsafe Service Practices: The service at the buffet counter was concerning. Not only did the staff lack proper hygiene practices, but they also disregarded safety protocols. It's essential for any establishment to prioritize cleanliness and customer well-being. In summary, this place failed to meet basic expectations. I won't be returning, and I recommend others think twice before spending their hard-earned money here. Remember that reviews are subjective, and others may have different experiences. However, based on my visit, I felt compelled to share these observations.

I think for $100 for two people for the breakfast buffet, which is not $39 per person as quoted on the website, I expected more. By the way it does not mention there is an additional 18% surcharge was it for service or something like that? Anyways for $100 for breakfast for 2 people, the variety and level of food is very sparse for that price. Other than that the location is superb. It's more of an experience than a restaurant I get it.
Be the first to ReplyPretty solid breakfast/brunch option.
Views are unmatched. Food is good. Nice amount of options. It's worth the try.

All right my friends I must disagree with esteemed yelpers who have given this place less than 4 stars. Stop Nit Picking! I try and do not base my reviews solely on a bad experience. Things happen. Besides the views which are stunning I found that the choices and food was good. Will return and promise to provide a more detailed review.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for the first time for lunch.
My friends and I ordered the Sea Bass and Rotisserie Chicken. The fish was the most bland, unseasoned, unflavored meal I've ever eaten. Underneath the fish was a pile of sticky rice, which was also not seasoned. My friends and I were thoroughly confused. Considering that the dish cost almost $40 at the top hotel in LA, we were beyond disappointed. Burgers seemed okay though but who orders burgers at a high end restaurant...
Be the first to ReplyThe view is amazing the breakfast was also really good.
This place has great service. I would go again on a sunny clear day.
Be the first to ReplyWe are deeply disappointed with this restaurant.
They advertise as a seafood buffet that offers lobster and crab legs and when you get there the only seafood is a small fountain of shrimp and o couple of plates of salmon. The price is very high for an omelette $55 dollars and only a glass of cheap champagne. The view is the only thing that results great. I don't usually give bad reviews but this time I felt abused. Sorry.
Be the first to ReplyWent on a Saturday buffet.
Price $55 per person. Great view, great service. Best is the steak & jumbo shrimp & omelette made on site. Would recommend but a little pricey.

This place gives great bang for the buck -- good, fresh, food; great service; beautiful views of the city. The fresh omelette bar is sufficiently well stocked (wish they offered Swiss cheese) and the meats and sides are plentiful. Their bread is delicious! We like to share a nice & toasty everything bagel with lox and all the fixings. I love that I can make my own yogurt parfait with their delicious granola, fresh berries, and a drizzle of honey. The desserts are mostly bite-sized, which makes it easy to try a few without too much guilt. The oatmeal raisin cookies are our favorite.

As someone who recently visited the hotel, this place is filled with Instagram influencers tbh. You will be trying to enjoy your food while a bunch of people take pictures. I usually don't complain about things of this nature, but this time it was excessive. Now on to the restaurant itself. The price per person is misleading because you will be hit with extra charges along with it. I went a couple of times for the normal breakfast buffet and then for the sparkling brunch. The normal breakfast is not worth the price you are paying because you get a very little amount of options. For the price point required, I expected better options. In terms of service, it was incredibly spotty at times. Often, my waiter would disappear to the back of the restaurant. I did really enjoy the omelet bar as the man working the station was incredibly sweet and patient despite having to deal with rude customers who did not know what to order. I also enjoyed the sparkling brunch offered on the weekends because I felt that is was more worth IMO. After all, you get better food options and a glass of bubbles or a mimosa. Overall, this place does have beautiful views but lacks in the worth it department.

Probably had one of the worst experiences here since their opening a few years ago. We arrived at approximately 12:45 PM and I don't know if they forgot about us or if they just did not care about us but it took almost 20 minutes to get the attention of a server, who obviously did not want to serve us. he kept going around in circles and serving other people. Eventually, when we were able to put anything in, he was hasty, didn't seem like he wanted us to order anything else, although I was going to order a few more things, and ended up bringing one person's food a full 30 minutes before everyone else. we finally had to ask a manager to look into our food and our food came about 10 minutes later. What should have been a 45 minute lunch turned into over two hours. Food quality was ok but nothing special. Had to ask several times for hot water. Server could be seen frantic all over the restaurant and serving others but not us and at times was upset and yelling at others. Do not recommend for an easy weekday lunch.
Be the first to ReplyPretty amazing views and food is exceptional.
I wasn't expecting so many dressed *down* guests, but it is a hotel so I imagine the wealthy people who stay overnight don't care if they roll out of bed and eat at the closest buffet. I did have to wait 10-15 mins even though I had a reservation, which is always annoying. But once seated, the service was great and we had an overall great time.

I went here to celebrate my birthday lunch with 3 other people. They were nice enough to put us in the private dining area! which had great views! I went in August 2022. The menu is very limited and they were out of most dishes, which was even more limited. The pizza and salad were great. I also ordered a burger which was great. Service was bad, we had to keep getting up to call the waiter, we also asked for stuff like water refills and they took forever to bring our water and food we ordered. I also asked for napkins and that took a very long time, I had to get up and ask them again for napkins and seems like the guy forgot. Service was not attentive at all. I don't think I will come back.
