Late night dinner
This may be our 4th time to eat here. Does not disappoint. We had our usual, guacamole dip, roasted Cuban sandwich, ropa vieja and I had for the first time their beef burger.
Be the first to ReplyBest sandwich I’ve ever eaten.
Has to be the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten in my life. Coppelia is an incredible 24hr diner serving astonishing Cuban food. Just had the Cuban sandwich and it’s the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten.
Be the first to ReplyThe best breakfast.
So good. Best breakfast I had in NYC. Loved the huevos rancheros and the setting was great. Would highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food. LOUD and pricey.
I’ve been here 4-5 times. Most recently had superb salmon & mashed potatoes in a tangy salsa, so good. The place is LOUD and they blast music - very hard to talk. Prices are high.
Be the first to ReplyGreat recommendation!
Second time visiting this friendly restaurant. Food was great and service was as well. Would highly recommend. Breakfast is very good.
Be the first to ReplyDry and salty
I ordered waffle with chicken. It was too salty and the waffle was bad also. My girlfriend ordered pancakes and they were really dry.
Be the first to ReplyManager has a problem.
Have been coming since it opened with a covid exception. The pick up order was ready after a few minutes due to the lack of customers and was sitting in their containers melting together into one cheesy blob each. Cooked well, but the stale, stiff hamburger buns needed a sharper knife. I guess she is the evening manager, but has had an attitude since she started. Didn’t see any familiar, friendly wait staff. Perhaps being there helps when she is not there.
Be the first to ReplyGreat staff, outdoor seating, and tasty food
A friend and I walked up at 6pm on a Thursday evening and got a great outdoor seat without a reservation. Our waiter was really nice, including offering suggestions on what to order and whether we got enough food, and checking in with us frequently. And our food was great. I'd gotten carryout from here before, but thought it was even better at the table.
Be the first to ReplyIt is the NY hidden gem
This place open 24/7 and serve delicious Cuban cuisine. Staff are friendly and efficient. They do not take reservation but it is a fun place to go after theater or bar. Everything is good, except the dessert. The cake we picked was quite dry.
Be the first to ReplySome of the worst service in my life
The most unattentive and unprofessional service i have ever received in a half dozen trips to NYC. Middle aged bald server basically took our orders and disappeared. No one clearing plates. No refills. Food came out sporadically. Lomo Saltado was very good. Every else was mediocre to weak. I came here after the Nixon bulls games because it was open late but I open late but honestly I was better off getting a slice or cart food.
Be the first to ReplyNo reservations!
When we arrived around 5pm (because we had a 4-year-old with us), it was already packed. Service is fast and courteous. Excellent dishes from all over the Hispanic universe. Authentic guacamole (unspoiled with lime juice or anything similar), great mac & cheese, and everybody enjoyed their entrees -- Cuban sandwich, chile relleno (vegetarian version), and skirt steak. No reservations accepted, so plan accordingly.
Be the first to ReplyTasty carryout food
Because of the COVID risk, we decided to do our dinner as carryout. The order was ready on time. It was a bit pricey for what we got, but the food was tasty and in reasonable portions. I especially liked the empanadas.
Be the first to ReplyMake sure you check your bill!
Food is great, service is good. However, make sure you check your bill (particularly the drinks) before you pay. My partner gave me his credit card before he went to the restroom, so I could pay and save time. The waiter saw this and I'm guessing he assumed I would give him the card without checking the bill. But I did. They charged us $65 for a pitcher of sangria when it was listed on the menu for $50. I went straight to the manger and was told they changed the menu "just yesterday" but the waiter never mentioned there was a price change when we ordered. I told them they needed to honor what was on the menu and then they changed the bill. But this experience left us with a very bad feeling. What if I had just handed the waiter the card without checking? After years of patronizing this establishment, I will not be returning again. Very disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyReally bad version of Cuban food.
Live around the corner but only went tonight on a friend's recommendation. Drinks and service were very good but bad food. We started with the chips and guacamole and a beef empanada. The chips/guacamole was good but the empanada just really OK. My friend had the salad with avocado and the avocado was as hard as a rock. I ordered the Pernil and it was simply awful. The pork came over boiled yuca and both were bad. The yucca had no flavour and the pernil was dry and tasteless. Cannot recommend and will never go back.
Be the first to ReplyDecent
We were able to get a seat on a Saturday around 11:30 without a wait. The restaurant is super cute and quaint. Seating is a bit tight for a group of 6, it worked. To be honest, we ate there 3 days prior to writing this. I don't remember anything. I do know we were ok with our food, but nothing stuck out as really good or bad.
Be the first to ReplyBest Mojito I've had in a long time
We just stopped in to have a cold beer and a snack on a hot July day after a doctor appointment. I was pleasantly surprised to find out this was a Cuban restaurant in the menu was very enticing. I treated myself to a cold mojito and it was wonderful! My partner had a Cuban beer which was also very refreshing. Then we both had a quesadilla. The prices were reasonable and the quesadilla was wonderful! I will definitely be coming back here again. I really like this place.

Coppelia, the great staff and the great food is back for sitdown dining.
The expanded outdoor space has plexi barriers and Is great for fun dining and people watching.
Go!
Top notch Service
I visited this restaurant twice while in New York. I must say the service was amazing, The Mac and cheese was to die for, churrasco and lomo salteado pretty good as well... You must have some of their drinks, they have happy hour almost everyday from 4-7pm.... i would def visit this place again!

Been wanting to go to coppella for awhile. My friend and I had lunch. We both had Cuban sandwiches. She had delicious chicken soup and I had delicious yucca fries with green garlic dipping sauce. Yum yum. We will be back
Be the first to ReplyAmazing. With Amazing value
Came here for breakfast on first day of our trip. Outstanding food. Most expensive trying on the menu was $11-for steak and eggs.
Incredible value and flavour on three food we ate. Definitely worth a visit.
