Disappointing
Was one of the best restaurants in Dieppe and since the change of ownership it has been a disaster, we had a pot of fish, meat and scallops, nothing was good, drowned in a sauce of cream and d Spinach everywhere, even the meat and scallops not cooked enough. No children's menu offered, the prices have become completely ridiculous, billing €180 for 3. It's a shame we won't come back there again.

Always nice to eat at the oyster counter. The house has changed and is more "equal", it is no longer the atmosphere of the previous owners but the general idea has remained, presentation of day fishing, on the large plateau, etc. The service is less controlled than before when the atmosphere was more masculine, perhaps a few more years of experience are needed. However, it is a little expensive considering what is served.

We loved dining in this beautiful brasserie which served simple, generous and hearty cuisine. And then there it is… the team changed and the quality went away. Sole, or rather solinette, overcooked and drowned in a black butter that is much too black. Turbotin, or rather turbotinou, also overcooked. Tasteless puree. Appetizers to match: overcooked, fatty and tasteless. For dessert, we shared Profiteroles with dry sprouts. Wash it all down with half a bottle of Chablis and pay €160!!! We left with a very light wallet and a heavy stomach, bordering on indigestion. In short, one less good address in Dieppe. Damage.

Excellent welcome, quality cuisine and very good service! Address to try without hesitation! The somewhat vintage/classic setting gives a special charm to the place.

After a somewhat difficult shift change, the counter became once again at the top of seafood products. Friendliness also returns for greater pleasure.
Be the first to Replywhat a disappointment since change of ownership....very expensive and not much on the plate
As Dieppe residents, we have been accustomed to coming to this famous place in the city for years........but this will no longer be the case. Since the change of ownership, while the quality has remained the same, the prices have increased considerably (which can be explained in these times) but the portions have shrunk significantly. For example, a very small solette (child's portion) with a baked potato on the plate for €32 (the previous owner would never have served such small portions)....... I think that 'there was 3.50€ worth of merchandise all broken on the plate... in short, a theft....... this is felt in the room, before it was better to reserve even during the week, now there is no more people..... and given the word of mouth that is spreading in the city this is not going to get better
Be the first to Replydisappointed by the fish casseroles
the fish casseroles, too expensive given the quantity of fish, despite a very good sauce. we don't think we'll come back

Very good cuisine with very fresh and excellent products In the evening we were received very coldly although on time and a few days later we had lunch there, the person present was a little more friendly. Fortunately the young waiter is attentive and full of humor!

Great place! The menu is very small and especially depending on the arrival of the day. We are presented with the fish that we can taste and with very interesting explanations. The staff are adorable and caring. The decoration is a little dated and in a neighborhood that is not very lively, but it is a place for regulars that you should know about. Sea foie gras is a magnificent discovery. Finally a restaurant that does real “homemade” right down to its chocolate coulis and whipped cream. Keep it up, restaurants like this are precious! See you soon !

Warm place, received by different people. It's not easy to find a restaurant without a reservation. After contacting this restaurant, there would only be one place at the counter, which I didn't mind.

This is a great find! Honest food, very well prepared. Le patron came to show the catches of the day upon taking our table. Great team w a sense of humor who know how to engage with a diverse set of guests. Quaint setting. Don’t be mislead by google maps saying it’s been permanently closed, and don’t be discouraged by it being a bit away from the main tourist restaurant street. Totally worth it with excellent quality/price ratio. The best find of our week stay in Dieppe.

We visited Le Comptoir a Huitres during a stopover in Dieppe. We saw the recommendations of the restaurant and were interested. The restaurant, located in the harbour area of Dieppe, proved to be a really cozy place with nice decorations. The service was very professional and friendly, and the food turned out to be excellent. We had a combination of flat and special oysters -- who would choose something else in a restaurant with this name? -- and had the most delicious dorade one could get. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.
