Dinner with coup Amour de Deutz
Fantastic and romantic venue for couples. Food excellent, amuse bouche the best I had ever have. Value for price and quality. Stuff very friendly.
Be the first to ReplyA perfect blend of sight, taste, and service.
My wife and I were visiting the town of Eze which is both remote and beautiful. We asked one of the local artisans where we should have lunch. He recommended the Chateau Esa. We were dressed casually and a little concerned about whether we were suitably attired. He was kind enough to say we were. So we entered through the front door into a small lobby and bar unaware of the incredible views about to greet us. The maitre d’ escorted us outside and down a set of stairs to an open patio area with spectacular views of the Mediterranean and surroundings hills. The elevation is breathtaking. We thought we would be seated on this open patio but he beckoned us to follow him through a door to be seated in the coziest private alcove looking out over an even more incredible view. The service and food were both exceptional. My wife had a glass of champagne to start and I opted for a Negroni. We were offered some small samples of elegant tasting local ingredients mixed in sublime ways. The starter was a light, creamy lemon tart with orange and lime colored sauces that melted in the mouth. We had lamb for the main course that was similarly outstanding. And for dessert we had a chocolate mousse based offering that was displayed in the most artistic fashion. The meal and experience was simply the most unique and wonderful we can remember. The servers were attentive and perfect in their timing not rushing nor leaving us lingering throughout our time there. It was in a word, perfect. (And they never questioned our casual attire, thankfully).

This restaurant has a stunning setting with breathtaking views over coastline and beyond, the food and service unfortunately are second rate. I would avoid dining here as the menu is limited and what is served is distinctly average and certainly doesn’t justify the exorbitant price. The staff whilst friendly are disorganised and seem to lack basic training, we waited hours for our meal despite asking numerous times. I would recommend you look elsewhere for something special in the Côte d’Azur to avoid disappointment.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious experience with a lovely view
We decided to spoil ourselves with lunch at Chateau Eza on the last day of our holiday in the area. Their valet took our car off our hands, leaving us to walk through the flowered streets to the restaurant. We were shown to a table at the edge of the balcony overlooking the sea, and presented with delicious food and wine. It was not cheap, but we remember the experience much more than the price, which must be a good sign! Overall a delicious experience with a lovely view. Book ahead!!
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful place!
We enjoyed our meal which was beautifully presented and delicious! The view from our outside table was amazing! So glad we decided to come here.

This place has some amazing views of the Cote d'Azur, the setting is great, nestled in a mountain, in a medieval town overlooking the Mediterranean. So great. The good was good and the service was good, too. Would come back
Be the first to ReplyAMAZING!!
A hidden gem in the French Riviera, the food and service was world-class and one of the best views from a restaurant I've ever experienced.
Be the first to ReplyI'd rather jump off a mountain than every eat here again
less than 0 rating. Horrible food obviously frozen fish and chip served tepid and inedible. Horrible overpriced.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Experience!!
Wow! What an experience. It was a special wedding anniversary and we couldnt have imagined how wonderful our celebration lunch would be. The staff were friendly, attentive and yet made it feel as we were the only guests there. The private balcony gave a view that was spectacular. Not only that but the food was superb. We would recommend the restaurant to anyone who is visiting the area. Next time, we hope to stay overnight and have the full experience. We would recommend to all.

The view of the restaurant is superb!
The reservation is quite difficult and exclusive for a “group” of people!
The food is very good, not to much offer, and on the average “gourmet style” restaurant!
The staff from reception to restaurant at level for the service!
It’s a place above average, for average people!
A special occasion deserves the effort!
Buyer Beware
This place is of NOT worth it. When we first visited Eze, my wife and thought how beautiful the area was and its views. We told ourselves how we would like spend our anniversary at the Chateau Eze.
If you want to enjoy the views at Eze, visit and have a nice dinner by the beach at Villefranche or Bealieau Sur Mer. You will SAVE money. We learned our lesson by paying over $500 per night for the view.
When we made reservations with the hotel, we were given the option to pay for breakfast daily and paid for it.
When we told the restaurant that the breakfast was included, we were told that breakfast is not included. I told them about our reservation and was told that they did not know what we were talking about and suddenly the language barrier was an issue.
Breakfast at this place is 25 Euro per person for a continental breakfast. If you want to add an American breakfast (eggs and bacon only) its an additional 10 Euro. That's $40.00 folks.
The service what your paying for here is terrible. This should be a top notch hotel, but the employees are rude and dont know customer service.
When we arrived we requested reservations for the hotel, and were told that the restaurant had no openings. This is a small hotel with less than 20 rooms and could not accommodate us. We are staying in this hotel and they prefer to accommodate someone who is not staying in the hotel.
The location is beautiful and the views are unlike any other in the Cote d Azure. But save your money and go visit for the view of Eze on a day trip. If you buy in for the hotel, you could make an expensive mistake like we did.
Lastly, if you stay here be prepared to walk a long way to the hotel. When you first visit Eze, it doesnt seem like a big deal because youve never been there before, but when you stay there for 3 days, that walk up the hill will take its toll. It is not a convenient place to stay. The only attraction is the view.
If you want to visit the small, quaint seaside towns in Cote d Azure you will have to drive a long way down the mountain.
Don't make the mistake we made, stay near the coast and visit for the day, and save.
I hope you read the low ratings for this hotel. YOU will save money.
Fantastic evening!
Very romantic setting, excellent food and wine and delightful service. A truly wonderful evening. Cannot wait to visit again!
Be the first to ReplyAn incredible evening for our wedding anniversary
Incredible food, incredible ambience, an amazing view. While annual visitors to Eze, we'd only been to have an evening cocktail once before, and heard the food was incredible. Rumours were true, and it was an unforgettable evening. The sommelier was very knowledgeable too!

This dining experience was one of the top three highlights of our trip to France. The service, food and beautiful terrace seating made it a memory of a lifetime.

In short you have to experience having a meal at this restaurant at least once in your life time. I was simply amazing.

We had the most amazing time in Chateau Eze, it is a very unique experience with stunning views .
Our medieval suite was fabulous with a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea with the most amazing sunrise and sunset, staff very efficient and very nothing was a problem. Food excellent and drinks and cocktails superb .
Best hotel with stunning views
On top of the Eze village is the wonderful hotel Château Eza.
We booked the suite with a 60qm terrace and a breathtaking view over the Côte d’Azur 400m below us. The terrace is equipped with lounge chairs and a jacuzzi which was prepared upon arrival. The suite with an open hearth-fireplace gives a special atmosphere in this ancient but stylish suite.
The staff is so friendly and helpful.
Check out the restaurant and book a table on the balcony. Enjoy best food (especially the oysters) with a stunning view down to the bay.
