Brasserie Fouquet's New York Reviews from The Last Year

I sat at the bar with my boyfriend and had oysters and a dirty martini. The ambiance was immaculate and so was the service! The only thing to note is that it is pricey, but well worth it for a special date night in my opinion.
The jewel of accommodations in Tribeca!
Beautiful hotel and impeccable service - I can't wait to get back. I lived in Tribeca for many years and after I left the city I was a dedicated patron of The Greenwich on the four or five times a year I was back in town. However, after multiple bad experiences with management I stopped and stayed in a different area of town. I'm excited to say that I can now return to my old neighborhood after finding Hotel Barrière Fouquet's New York. The design is beautiful and the glow that fills the lobby area when the sun is shining is a refreshing experience compared to most other city hotels. However, the way I truly enjoy my stays in beautiful hotels is via their staff and the ones that work here are an absolutely pleasure to interact with. There are a few I'd like to mention specifically - concierges Nathaniel and Valentina were incredibly helpful with the logistics of getting me to the hotel at a very late hour and for handling a package that arrived at the hotel after I checked out. Also, Tenzin at the front desk was more than happy to accommodate my request when I needed a special breakdown of my bill at checkout and arranged to hold an item that a friend had left in my room until she could pick it up. Food and beverage were stellar and it's overseen by the very helpful and kind manager, Fernando. At 2 am when I arrived at the hotel l was starving and beyond excited that I was able to order a burger and fries via room service (absolutely delicious). It was so late but the voice on the line did not seem to be put out and even hunted down a glass of wine for me though the bar had closed for the night. I had breakfast at the hotel on two days and brunch once and the same person served me each time and always greeted me with a smile (forgot to get their name). I had dinner at the hotel one night with three other people and the food was tremendous but our server Steven (spelling?) was what made our meal extra special. The fact that I can again stay in my old neighborhood at a incredible hotel makes me very happy and I'm looking forward to my return in a couple of months.

Overrated, over hyped and simply another place that delivers a subpar experience in such a great neighborhood. Beautiful property decor and effort but fails in expectations and execution from food quality to value.
Went to Fouquet brunch for yesterday.
Overall pleasant experience. Room is beautiful as are all of the public spaces. Brunch service, though not busy, was pretty odd. Coffee served cold. When asked for new cups, we are brought either Americano or espresso and the waiter had no idea which it was or why we were given this different coffee (though he didn't seem interested to fix it). Ordered a burger. Was asked how I wanted it cooked. I said "rare". Out comes 2 smash burger discs that could not be cooked anything but well done. Poached eggs asked for soft are served close to hard boiled. Neither are complicated orders. And $16 for orange juice? Seriously? Overall, liked the place and see it's potential. They need to fix these pretty basic service and cooking issues.
Awful Customer Service!
I Had a reservation but arrived early, they could not accommodate my early arrival, so after driving 15+ hours I desperately needed a place to rest. I found another hotel that would accept me immediately & when I tried to cancel my reservation they charged me $1000+ half of my $2000+ total. That is an insane cancellation fee!!!!
This place was outrageously expensive for what you get.
Dover Sole $110.00 !?!? You can get this dish anywhere else in the city for 75.00 .
Good restaurant! I enjoyed everything I ate.
The servers were incredibly friendly. If you like high-end French restaurants, you will enjoy this place. The establishment is very classy and is in a good area. The only thing that is a drawback is the price. It's expected that this type of place would be expensive.
Very disappointing experience at Fouquet 's for brunch.
We waited 20 mins for someone to come over and check on us to order. We got served filtered coffees that tasted as if a single nespresso pod had been used for an entire pot of coffee. The tablecloth was dirty with traces of pepper and coffee marks from the previous guests.I don't know what to say, it was a terrible experience in a place that should have every possible chance to be pleasant. We've had the pancakes before and they were very good and the omelette was perfectly acceptable, but with the level of service and the prices- I can't honestly recommend this place to anyone. The waiter was borderline rude when we communicated the issues, we asked to talk to the manager and she attempted to turn around the experience and was professional about it, but it was just too late.
Ambience is absolutely amazing.
And the hotel is beautiful. Service is lacking far short of $1000 a night hotel. The prices also are quite high for the level of service. Will likely not come back. Burger was overcooked. Fries subpar.
Brings A Piece Of Paris To The Big Apple.
Fouquet's Hotel is housed in Tribeca in an industrial red bricked building where the property showcases a melange of French classicism with Big Apple trendiness. My Junior Suite was formidable with high ceilings and large windows that flooded the suite with natural light. A separate living area with a sofa and working desk provided a residential ambience to the surroundings. Elegant chandeliers, glamourous fabrics, custom wallpaper, wooden floors, pastel palette, and Art Deco styled furniture all elevated the luxurious stature of this pied-a-terre. The marbleized bath was outfitted with a large shower, dual sink vanity and a seating areas. Fouquet's has 3 French food & beverage options. The most flamboyant is the Bistro where one can experience exceptional French culinary fare like Onion Soup, escargots, Steak Tartare and more Parisian delights. I savored Dover Sole Meuniere and I could not pass on the dessert cart goodies. Then there is the Par Ici, a greenhouse styled cafe with a vegetarian focus and the Titsou, an alluring cocktail lounge. Other amenities include an exquisite spa facility, an indoor pool, fitness center, a Cannes Film Festival-inspired Screening Room and event spaces. So, if you would swoon over an Art Deco interior design straight out of the Champs d' Elysee........................then try the ..................Hotel Barriere Fouquet's New York......... .....................brings a piece of Paris to the Big Apple.
We were very impressed with this restaurant.
It is expensive but worth it- food was excellent and beautiful ambiance. Big plus, noise level was good.

More of a scene than I expected, but unfortunately the emphasis is on the scene rather than the food. Food was just fine, but nothing particularly special. The service was just okay. Beautiful room.
Its just ok not worth $4200 a night
We stayed here for 3 nights and I must say it was not worth the expensive room rate. First, with this being a newer hotel I have to say its really ugly. Whoever designed this hotel really did a very poor choice of colors and patterns. The restaurant was nice but the food was average and expensive for average. The room service food was much better actually it was wonderful!!!! We had a corner suite room with a wrap around terrace which was lovely and impressive but the room color palette was awful. and the armories smelled terrible not sure what acrylic paint was used but it smelled horrible. The mattress was great and the pillows were as well. When I went to use the bath tub the water was bite yellow and maintenance came and said we would have to switch rooms but the next morning they said it was fixed but I didn't trust it as it was the brightest yellow coming out of those pipes. Also, when we were there it was raining and they never offered us umbrellas to use. There is a door man there that loves dogs and he is fabulous!!! He is the best thing about the hotel. At the price of $4200.00 a night I thought I would have felt better about the price if the room was spectacular but the colors of the room and the smell in the cabinets literally made me sick. The designer of this hotel could have really created that Parisian feeling with a much better color palette selection something that flows a little better and not so dingy. Even the light bulb color temperature makes the room look old and uninviting . Such a shame. I will not be staying here again.

THIS PLACE NEVER DISAPPOINTS! The perfect spot for a low-key dinner with good friends. From the moment I entered the lobby, I was greeted by the gracious doorman who assigned a lovely representative to escort me to the dining room. As I was the first of my crew to arrive, I opted to wait at the bar where the wonderful barman met me with his newest tequila selections (he remembered I am Monsieur Tequila!), some tastings and finally my favorite cocktail. Once seated we had the escargot, the fluke and the tartare to start...ALL PHENOMENAL (I was especially surprised at the portion size of the tartare...enough for 3 to share heartily!) and the escargot's breadcrumbs gave an en croute vibe that was parfait! For mains, we had the absurdly delicious burger, the beautiful rib eye, and the succulent salmon done JUST RIGHT (I hate overcooked salmon!!). The sides were as impressive with substantial frites and delicately sauteed mushrooms. Finally, we closed the evening (and the resto...we forgot it was Sunday and lingered as if it was a Thursday night...sorry!) with the GORGEOUS chocolate cake... a sexy little giftbox comprised of chocolate in all of its formations. In one word, the experience here is always DIVINE!!!!
Just go .
Sublime . Paris in NYC . Cuisine c' est excellent . Magnifique ! Johnathan the maitre'd is so good !
New York Go-To
An absolutely wonderful stay at what I believe is one of the best hotels in New York. The rooms are chic and well appointed. Big windows, well curated mini bar, hidden TV’s, and more. I love the Tribecca location which is quiet and feels like true New York with its cobblestone streets. I had a corner suite that took full advantage of huge windows and an amazing city view. The hidden bar has a real vibe and great cocktails, the rooftop is perfect for a warm day and the restaurant is elegant and sophisticated. The hotel is a place country do not need, or want, to leave. I have been a huge fan of the Baccarat Hotel, but Fouquet’s is my New York go to moving forward. But about above all that, the level of hospitality is excellent. I reached out to Jean Carlo before arrival and he was responsive, accommodating and made the trip 5 star. I can be demanding as a guest, and Jean Carlo handled it with grace. The brand is lucky to have him.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
