My son and I stayed at the Brach a Brach suite on the 6th floor for several nights in the summer of 2019 and had a wonderful stay. Post-Covid, my wife and I returned to the Brach in September ‘22 because I had been so impressed with the room and the service. Unfortunately, it is not the same hotel that it once was. The service was terrible and several things in the room did not work. I called down to the front desk on at least 15 different occasions and nobody picked up. The shades in the room malfunctioned. The hot tub took 8 hours to heat up, rendering it useless. The lights in the bathroom did not turn on. The television mysteriously turned on at 3:00 AM and we had to pull the plug to turn it off. There was no room service menu for breakfast in the room (only dinner). There was no cream for coffee. There was no turn down service at night so the towels from the previous day were still wet the following morning. There is no concierge. The hotel has gone to a virtual concierge to save money. When the phone was repeatedly not answered regarding the bathroom lights, I got dressed and went to the front desk for help at 11:00 PM. After waiting for someone to come out for 5 minutes, I was told that he would come to my room in 5-10 minutes and it took 20. He was unable to fix the problem. There were other issues with the room as well. Upon check out, when I explained all of this, all that I was offered was a complimentary dinner. This is very unsatisfactory, especially given the expense of this room and this hotel. Something has happened to both the quality of the hotel and the quality of the staff since I was there 3 years ago that needs to be addressed. I will not go back.
