My wife is always craving hot pot.
So, our favorite place to go is Boiling Point. During my recent lunch visit, I ordered the Beef and Curry hot pot, and both were delicious. Just an fyi if you're new to BP, an added bonus during lunch is the complimentary green or black tea. Just something else to note, while prices have increased, the portions have also gotten larger, ensuring you get great value for your money. Service can be a little spotty but they're usually pretty quick to get what you need.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely a fun experience to eat at.
Boiling point is a classic stop for college students, good portions for the price. The staff took our orders pretty quickly when we arrived and food arrived soon after. It's a fun experience for individual hot pot, you get a taste of everything. We ordered the beef and the lamb one which was good.

My friends and I didn't make it in time for lunch, but there was no wait when we arrived. We were seated right away for our group of three. After we ordered, our food came out within what felt like five minutes! My friends were surprised since this was their first time at Boiling Point. Even I was surprised, and I am a frequent customer. I forgot to get my parking validated, but when I came back to Boiling Point, they did it without asking any questions and quickly as well. I really appreciated that!

Love the additions of greens in this book and perfect amount of meat! Which there was some more rice cakes, but came with a side of either rice or vermicelli noodles. Server was very nice and the place was well ventilated for all the steam produced.

Delicious! My soup was very spicy so be careful ordering your spice level! The restaurant was very hot! Would have been nicer if there was a bit more AC with all the hot pots on. The service was great! The tables also had origami you could partake in which was fun.

The ambtenience is great it's always clean and the natural lighting is great. The food 10/10 each time and the service is very nice. Waiters are attentive.
Be the first to ReplyWe come here a lot.
When I say a lot, I mean like nearly once every week. We usually get the same thing and only recently has my friend decided to change her order so you'd think she'd know how her food tastes typically and how it would taste otherwise. She ordered the Korean Bean Paste as usual but substituted the meat, but she didn't receive the meat substitute she asked for, but instead just the pork that it always comes with. This isn't that big of an issue, she doesn't mind if the meat was incorrect. However, when we went to go let a server know about the discrepancy, they were so incredibly rude about it. The lady that we called over looked extremely irritable and basically side eyed us as we called her over. We let her know about the mix up, and she looks annoyed and almost unwilling to help. My friend tells me she actually rolled her eyes at us! She goes to the back and we assume she's just trying to figure out the issue but then she comes out with two other employees from the back and the first question she proceeds to ask is, "Did you expect the bowl to be bigger??" In a condescending tone. My friend let her know that she was not expecting the size of the bowl to be bigger, but just for the pork in the bowl to be changed, as they up charge for changing the meat. The two guys she brought from the back proceeded to chime in aggressively to let us know that it was beef and not pork. My friend decided to just drop it as the employees seemed to be extremely hostile and unwilling to budge from their argument. We told them it's fine and to just leave it on the bill, and the lady proceeds to slam the bill onto our table??? Like quite literal audible thud. Wow, like I understand the confusion and everything, but seriously why are they holding so much hostility and attitude towards customers who were originally so nice and understanding about the situation?? What a joke, seriously. I sincerely wish I had taken note of her name so I could handle this issue more privately. I just cannot help but be so shocked about the attitude and lack of service when we've been here often and never had any issues.. Not to mention, the broth of my friend's wok looked nearly inedible.. The meat was falling apart, rice cakes were mushy, everything just felt kinda... old in a way? Like quality was definitely not up to par. Super disappointing. TLDR; employees HELLA rude, if you have an issue and calmly raise a concern at them they will not hesitate to clap back with hostile attitude.
Be the first to ReplyThis was a fun and different way to enjoy hotpot.
Service is super fast and tables were clean as well. If you come during lunch you get a free tea and side like rice or vermicelli. I ordered the beef hot soup in medium and it was great. It was filled to the brim with meat and had many toppings inside. It wasn't as spicy to me, so definitely opt for hot if you enjoy spice. The teas they gave to us were actually pretty good. They are sweetened so you might have to ask for unsweetened tea. It was a quick lunch despite it being flaming hot the entire time. The sauces they offer are also very good. It was fun to mix and match different flavors.
Be the first to ReplyI love eating here and never get tired of it.
The food and portions are amazing and you always get really full. I think it's only worth it for the price, even more so since they've increased it, to eat during lunch hours so you get the complimentary drink. I also absolutely love their garlic bean paste I could eat that by the spoonful. The only reason I give it four points is because the service is always bad and slow. You have to wave them down to order and get the check because once they seat you it feels like they forget you exist.

Haven't been to this location in a long time but I came since the Tukwila location is temporarily closed. It's definitely more spacious. I came at the start of dinner time and didn't have to wait. But as soon as I got seated, there were a rush of people who came. The food was good. But service could be better.

I never come here enough! Boiling Point in Chinatown has been the go-to spot for lunch and dinner with my UW friends. I would highly recommend joining the waitlist on Yelp beforehand since there usually is a line. Every choice I've had for food was incredible. I would recommend the Thai Tomato Soup since it's personally helped me a ton when I was feeling a bit under the weather.

I've had hot pot before, but not this version where it's prearranged, but I loved it. I was a little overwhelmed with the menu because everything looked and sounded so delicious, so my sister asked what meat I prefer and we went with beef to make it an easy decision. We ate everything, and I mean everything. A regular can feed 2 people, and with 2 sides of rice it's like $25..very doable! When we were done I wish I had ordered a large. Spice level 2 is prettttyyy spicy. I enjoyed it but my sister kept pausing like 'whew' (and we're Black and love spicy food). I'll definitely return for seconds someday!
Be the first to ReplyI'm pretty addicted to Boiling Point.
You can say I'm addicted to hot pot in general but I think the other ones are yes better but too expensive. They recently started doing a deal where you get unlimited rice and double the meat per pot. I normally come for lunch by myself and it's convenient since the pots are meant to be individualized. During lunch it's cheaper and comes with a drink, and none of the food is reduced. My go-to is the Taiwanese Spicy which only comes in Flaming Hot. There can be a wait sometimes during prime lunch and dinner hours. They fortunately have an app where you can track how many people are on their waitlist if any. If there is a wait, I normally put my number down and go shopping at Uwajimaya or check out something in Chinatown.
Be the first to ReplyMaybe the best hotpot place I have been to.
Service was amazing, they were so thoughtful with having disposable aprons for each guest, toothpicks and toothbrushes and mouthwash in the restroom, and even bags to cover your coat so it wouldn't get dirty. All of the added touches like the snack bar were great, as was the presentation of how the meat came out for the hotpot. Would absolutely go back.

I came here for the beef hot pot and it tasted like I ate old meat. I gave this another chance and unfortunately had the same issue.

I oftened wondered about this place because it always has a line, especially the Southcenter location. I ate at Boiling Point today and either the people in line don't know what good food is, or I don't know what good food is. My cousin lives in Uwajimaya Village and when I stopped by to see him today, he said he wanted to try the Boiling Point. When we arrived, there was a line. Not sure how long the wait was going to be, I suggested we eat at another restaurant nearby. I wish we would have gone to the other restaurant where I know we would have gotten good food. The wait wasn't long but the waiter seemed put out when we asked for menus. Scanning doesn't work when one of the individuals doesn't have a cell phone and for some reason my phone wouldn't scan the QR code, We get the menu but the print was so small that you needed a magnifying glass to read it. I took forever before anyone came and got our order. I ordered the beef and my cousin ordered the Taiwanese Spicy. The waiter did let my cousin know the Taiwanese Spicy was spicy but my cousin likes really spicy foods. We also ordered rice with our meals. Our hot pots are brought to our table but our rice didn't. We waited for a few minutes but our rice never came out. It took asking three waiters for our rice before we eventually got our rice. There was hardly any beef in my dish and lots of napa cabbage. There were a few mystery items also in the hot pot. I thought the broth was pretty good. My cousin did say the Taiwanese Spicy was too spicy for him and he ended up not eating it all. In all, service was lousy and the food was just okay. Unless someone else is paying, I don't see going back for okay food that I can easily put together myself.

I stopped by on a Saturday morning and there was a line out the door before they opened! I came again on a Tuesday around 1 pm and there was no wait. Boiling Point is a hot pot place where each person gets their own pot. The lunch prices are a dollar cheaper and come with a free green or black tea! Recommend getting the tea without ice :) My go to order is the milk cream curry without milk cream, medium spicy. I enjoyed my meal and I always recommend getting rice since the noodle is already inside the curry pot. Definitely a filling meal with a variety of toppings, only weak point is the meat quality which is just ok!
Be the first to ReplyFast, good value, validated parking.
Lots of different sauces and options. I prefer shared pot, but this is a good alternative. We got the house special, the veggie hot pot, and the beef.
Be the first to ReplyCame to this location for the first time on Sunday.
We walked in 2 minutes before 11 and were basically yelled at that they open at 11.... So that was nice. There were a lot of us waiting outside for them to open so it would have been nice if they came out to tell us they were open instead of us trying to figure out who would be the brave one to walk in and may or may not get yelled at. The food, in my opinion is the worst out of all the locations. Sort of blan and toppings and drinks took a while to get. The Taiwanese spicy one, while we were warned it would be very spicy, was to the point where we almost thought we had to go to the hospital that night..: they should not be serving something that spicy. The service was quick and there was always someone walking around which was nice. I do not recommend this location for the food and will not be coming back.

I recently tried Boiling Point, a cozy little spot that serves up some seriously tasty Taiwanese hot soup. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint.First off, the atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice - it's got a modern and stylish decor that makes you feel right at home. The staff were also super friendly and attentive, which always makes for a great dining experience. But let's get to the real star of the show - the Milk Cream Curry soup. Y'all, this stuff is seriously delicious.I t was packed with flavor. The broth is rich and savory, with just the right amount of spice, and the meat is super tender and flavorful. Also if you go during lunch, you get a complimentary green or black tea.Overall, if you're a fan of Taiwanese hot soup or just looking for a cozy spot to grab a delicious meal, I highly recommend Boiling Point. The atmosphere, staff, and most importantly, the food, are all top-notch. Don't miss out!

I come to the Seattle location almost every week as a regular customer with my friend after working along day at the hospital. Their customer service can be alittle better. Not very pleasant when they greet their customers they can work on their professionalism. Always have to flag them down to order even when you give them the eye and they see you. Today, we tried to redeem the free curry that is advertised in their app and the person checking us out told us that we couldn't redeem that it was a one table can redeem. No where in the app does it say we need to purchase to be able to redeem the free curry as long as we had an app we would be able to get it. Better to eat at the Southcenter location instead.

Boiling Point has been at the top of my bucket list for a while now and so I'm glad my friend finally suggested that we go for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. This was my first time experiencing an individual hot pot place as my friends and I normally go for the AYCE hot pot buffet at the Bellevue Happy Lamb. I was excited to have my own hot pot just to myself and try new broths. The restaurant was extremely crowded and it took me 20 minutes to find parking down the way. My friend thankfully got there before I did and was able to put his name on the waiting list in the meantime. Normally they need the whole party to be seated, but they were nice enough to let him hold a table for us while I was walking over from my car.Unlike Happy Lamb, Boiling Point IS NOT an all you can eat buffet. The hot pots come with set ingredients (with the option to substitute or add on for extra). There are 9 different options you can choose from including House Special, Seafood and Tofu, Korean Bean Paste, Beef, Lamb, Milk Cream Curry, Mushroom Veggie, Taiwanese Spicy., and Miso. You can customize the spice level of most of the dishes which ranges from None to Flaming Spicy. Additionally, you get your choice of vermicelli or rice on the side. All dishes were around $20 including tip and tax.My friend recommended the lamb, beef, or milk cream curry (which to me sounds weird, but he claims it is actually good). I played it safe and went with the lamb which came with fried taro, napa cabbage, green onion, firm tofu, seafood, imitation crab stick (surimi), fried tofu skin, pickled mustard greens, Bunashimeji mushrooms (which were like big enoki mushrooms), clam, tempura fish stick, egg, and cilantro. Like my friend, I chose a hot spiciness level as I prefer my hot pot with a kick to it.Because it was lunch time, they throw in a free sweet iced tea (black or green of your choice). I chose green, but my companion chose black.Service was prompt and they bring out your stone pots and light them within 10-15 minutes after ordering. You have to wait a little while for the broth to start boiling, but since it's an individual bowl, it's pretty quick. The lamb hot pot was great and they did not skimp on the ingredients. Obviously they put less meat in the hot pot in comparison to the amount of veggies, but I personally didn't mind. They have some condiments on the table including garlic chili paste, chili paste/oil, and Garlic paste. I was a big fan of the garlic paste and dipped all of my ingredients in it. The hot spicy broth was maybe a 3 star spicy; next time I might try Flaming spicy.Overall I was satisfied with both the quantity and quality of the food and felt like it was just the right amount of food. It didn't leave me with a food coma or overstuffed unlike Happy Lamb where you're trying to get the most value (or meat) for your buck.Atmosphere is modern, busy, and casual. Bathrooms are clean.4/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere

I recently tried the Taiwanese Spicy at Boiling Pot and it was definitely an experience. The soup base was extremely spicy (only available as "Flaming Spicy"), so if you can't handle spice, I'd recommend staying away. The fried taro and pork intestine were the highlights of the dish for me, both were cooked perfectly and added great texture and flavor to the soup.I have to dock off some stars for the service. Our server was careless and rude -- they forgot to serve our sides of rice and vermicelli noodles, and when we followed-up, they insinuated that we had already been given these sides. It was clear that we weren't hiding anything since all the bowls were laid out on the table in plain sight. This kind of service is unacceptable and unfortunately detracted from the overall experience.

Boiling point is honesty my go to hot pot place! When I just want a hearty feel good bowl without having to deal with the whole hot pot experience this is where I go. The vibe of the place is very simple and quite individualistic since everyone gets their own pots.My table got the lamb and the beef soups. The lamb was my favorite between the two as it was very fragrant and the mustard greens and lamb in the soup made the taste of the broth very nice. The beef was also quite good but it felt more spice heavy even though the levee were the same because I think beef lends to the typical hot pot taste more naturally. It is a lot of food for the price so I think it's quite good value. We also go the Hokkaido Milk Tea to help with the spice as well. The service was fast and easy to flag down and they come around checking in on the fire a decent amount per meal.
