🤮 1/5 - Worst Meal Experience in the Aria and Possibly Ever

I ate here as part of an ‘eating around the Aria’ experiment I set myself on my most recent trip. During my visit I ate at Blossom as well as several other Aria restaurants. I am familiar with Las Vegas restaurants, Las Vegas in general and Chinese food. Peking Duck is one of my favourite dishes, but this meal counts as possibly the worst meal I have ever eaten in my life.
I ordered Peking Duck and Beef & Broccoli, ordinary steamed rice and two cocktails to be shared between two of us. The Peking Duck arrived with four pancakes and four buns. It was carved at the table, as usual but after carving a reasonable amount the waiter asked if I wanted the remainder of the duck removed from the bone and served through the rice as an accompaniment for the beef (for an extra charge). Puzzled, I refused. I prefer my rice plain.
The Duck was taken away to the kitchen, I assumed to be deboned, but returned I to the table roughly chopped, bone in and inedible. When I queried this I was told that had I asked for it to be stirred through the rice it would have been deboned but as I had not ‘this was how it is done at Blossom’. This is patently ridiculous. I have eaten many Peking Ducks. None have been roughly chopped, bone-in, for patrons to eat with their fingers.
The beef and broccoli arrived at the table as a pile of beef in a brown gravy atop a pile of partially steamed broccoli. It was flavorless and remained mostly uneaten. Even the rice was not a success - parts were undercooked.
The cocktails were the only successful parts of this meal. Save your money and go to a real Chinese - this is an expensive pretender:
