The experience of walking in the dark and using all your other senses while eating was great. The ambiance was difficult to sense but the table settings were easy to manage although we did hear a dish break in the background. Bree was amazing definitely there whenever we even thought we needed something. The food was different, I don't think I would have done this experience if I would have know it was plant based ( my fault just didn't read it thoughouly). Also not good for teens if they are picky eaters a waste of money. I only gave it 3 stars and wanted to give it less because they asked if my husband had any allergies: rosemary and ginger " but then still served him rosemary in one of the dishes. Just because we said it's not a life threatening allergy doesn't mean it's not an allergy that's Uacceptable. Disturbing to serve it even after asking, or at least give us an alternate dish if there isn't one a refund should have been offered.

This was such a cool experience! While dining in the dark, your other senses get heightened. At first, I was unsure about whether or not I would like it, but eventually I became more comfortable and really enjoyed it! The food was incredible and there is something totally different in every course (there are 7 courses). The service and employees were amazing! They were so quick to get the food out and they were very helpful in guiding you through the experience! Definitely recommend if you're in Las Vegas!
Be the first to ReplyI was excited to try this spot on my latest trip to Vegas.
It's about $90 per person and you pay after dinner, in the reception area, not with your server. The waiting area is small and they provide lockers for you to lock up your phones and watches. Yes, watches. You'll be carefully lead to a completely blackened area. Your server will lead you and although you'll feel uncomfortable, take your time and you'll be just fine. They do a very good job explaining where things are and how each item should be eaten. The menu is vegetarian and you're not told what you're eating until you leave the darkened room. There were seven courses and the first three were delicious ! I didn't care for the last four, but you can't please everybody. Great service, Anna from Georgia, was the best! So glad I went, 10/10, highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyThis was my third time visiting this establishment.
This was by far the worst experience I've had thus far. I always encourage guests that come visit Vegas to go because it's just one of those niche and unique experiences. Beginning with service, our server was Ana from Georgia. She provided great service for the most part. She was a bit slow, however it was St.Patty's Eve so I understand. Moving on to food, the first three courses were fantastic. Things went down hill very quickly once the "palate cleanser" came out. It was basically a cup full of chopped nuts that were seemingly soaked in vinegar. It was disgusting to say the least. The only saving grace this night was the drinks. They make a great espresso martini and the white sangria was nice. Last but definitely least, the ambiance was poor at best. It's dark obviously, but it was clearly very cramped and hot. So unless you truly just want to go experience something new, I say skip blackout and do an escape room instead. It's just as expensive but your money isn't wasted on half a** food. Also, just go ahead and get a little drunk first if you do decide to try this restaurant, maybe then you'll be able to laugh through the nasty food.
Be the first to ReplyThe location: it was easy to get to by Uber.
If you drive yourself there's plenty of parking on both sides of the building. We went on a Monday night so I don't know how it would be on a weekend day. We were staying on the strip so it was a short Uber ride for us. The lobby is big with plenty of seating while you wait for your turn. You get to check the drinks menu and you sign a waiver and give you a locker to put your stuff in (no phones or devices that light up allowed ). The staff: I wish I could remember our servers name - he was new and being shadowed but a manager or supervisor. He was so friendly, calm, and informative. He explained how he would lead us through the dinner. From the walk in to be seated and how the courses are served. Everyone was very friendly. The food: it's a vegan menu. But, even if you are a meat person, you'll still enjoy every course. They ask for food allergies and they make it a point to make your experience safe, that's really important. There are 7 courses, including dessert. Everything is delicious! I did not have one course I didn't enjoy. The drinks: I had a very well made and tasty Dirty Martini and my wife has a very well made Spicy Margarita. They pour well so if you don't like strong drinks, refrain. lol. They also make all their drinks virgin if you want. The experience: I was a little worried at first but after being sat down and "adjusting" I had an amazing time. I recommend this to anyone who's tired for a typical dinner date. No phones makes it even more interesting (I know!!! So crazy!! Jk) but there's a lot to talk about as your tasting the food and figuring out what you are eating. The food trust me, you won't get bored. You will get full through!! lol I'd add pictures, buuuuuut.... It was too dark. Lmao

Very cool concept for a restaurant - it is truly pitch black. Going in was kind of unsettling - shuffling through the darkness to our seats with only the hand of server to guide us. Their night vision goggles do have a red light which helps to keep it a little less scary. The food was tasty - we particularly liked the first couple courses, but all of them were pretty good. It was surprising how easily we got used to eating in the dark; I don't think any of us spilled anything or had any trouble getting the food into our mouths despite the darkness. There was a couple problems that we encountered that may have just been our experience - the service, while good, was slow. We finished each course and had a lot of time in between; it was fun to talk about the previous course and guess the ingredients, but it would have been great if it was just a bit faster. Also, the heightened senses is real - but that meant that other tables sounded very loud around us. I wish the tables were separated a little more. Overall, it was a very fun and unique experience!

I made a dinner reservation for Valentine's Day and, at the time I did, I asked detailed questions about food allergies relevant to the menu. Because I was assured that the relevant allergies would not be an issue, I showed up (well prior to) my reservation time for the dinner. I again asked about specific food allergies and was given an entirely different answer than I had been given when I made the reservation. In fact, the lady at the front strongly recommended that allergies WOULD be an issue and that we should "not take the chance" and we should not do the dinner. I was assured that I would receive a full refund ($220.00) of the money that I put down at the time of the reservation. She said, "give it 4-days and the card will be refunded." This was more than 2 weeks ago, and they still have not refunded my card. Additionally, they will not return my phone calls and emails on the problem. DO NOT BELIEVE THESE PEOPLE. DO NOT PAY A "DEPOSIT."

Our black out dining experience was fun and our waitress Que was amazing! However, the food was subpar. I was hoping to introduce vegan dining to my family (they did not know it was vegan) and they would realize that there is more enjoyable food options than just meat and potatoes. Unfortunately, this did the opposite. The first few courses were enough but by the main entree, it was boring and bland. They were so many opportunities to blow us away especially with our taste buds heightened bc of the blackout experience but it just fell short. Sad to say the dinner was a disappointment, the experience was not.

Everything was amazing!!! From service to the food! Our server Q I believe is her name was incredible! She made our experience phenomenal. The food is super fresh and fulfilling. What a great experience!
Be the first to ReplyThe service was great, can't fault it.
The whole dining in the dark was an interesting experience and we never knocked anything over, nor ended up wearing any of the food, strange! As for the actual food it's all VEGAN which we weren't told when booked it! Some of the 7 courses were ok to be fair but some were awful n we just refused to eat it after a lil taste! We had no meat, fish or poultry at all, therefore neither of us can possibly understand why it cost £80 equivalent in English sterling, per head, when all you were eating was vegetables!! Very overpriced for what you get!! We enjoyed the experience but not the food, my partner isn't a big veg lover, I on the other hand enjoy my vegetables but when its veg n rice and served cold or luke warm every meal (and when we told the waitress we couldn't eat it as it's luke warm, they apologised but didn't offer to heat it up), we got sick of it!! When in reception area afterwards, we realised this is obviously why you signed a "waver" when you came in, is probably coz if you knew what you were getting you'd refuse to pay!! We spoke to another couple waiting for a taxi and they agreed "the food was shit"
Be the first to ReplyWe've been there twice and it's an excellent experience.
Food is wonderful. Can't really comment on presentation. Waiting area is a bit chaotic not particularly charming for a $120+ pp experience. Server was excellent. Missed her name but had a Georgia accent :) . Truly unique LV experience. We made a game out of seeing who could correctly name the ingredients (you get to learn what you ate when it's all over) . Recommended especially if you have a vegan in the group!
Be the first to ReplyOk I am going to start with the only con.
Small lobby where you can smell the restrooms. Not an appetizing beginning. However, once you get inside to the waiting room the smell is completely gone and you are out fitted with your gear to go into the dining room. Here is where the fun begins. Now it is completely dark. Your eyes will never adjust and you are led to your seat. I was concerned that we would be seated at a table full of strangers, however, it was just myself and my husband at a table. It was such a curious experience, because without being able to see each other, we held hands across the table and had to focus on the others voice, and had to intently listen to conversation without any distraction whatsoever. After 15 years of being married, this was a treat. We tuned into one another's conversation and trusted each other throughout this process The food itself did not disappoint. We enjoyed maybe five out of the seven dishes . If you are trying this place out, you are open to adventure, so let your palate be your guide. From the texture, to the acid,heat... sweet, that the restaurant plays with...you will be taken on tastebud tour. Just go with the flow. I would definitely go again. The price is right for what you get which is an experience that may have been a core memory. Waiters are also pretty amazing and personable!

This is one of the most unique dining experience! In the beginning I was anxious because I had no sight and the noise in the restaurant seemed really loud to me. Once I adjusted I enjoyed the meals and guessing what they were. My server was fabulous too! I loved how she described how to eat the items. The price isn't bad for a 7 course meal either.

When you're dropping almost $100 per person for a vegan meal, most of that is for the experience. While the idea of eating in the dark drew me here, the actual experience was severely lacking, and this was the worst spot for a date I've experienced:- Loud dining room, to the point where it's difficult to hear my boyfriend or the server.- Front desk staff bad-mouthing customers' appearances, myself included behind my back during check-in before the meal. Um, we'll be eating in the dark.- Server forgetting who is who, even with night-vision goggles, by mistaking me for my boyfriend and calling me 'sir'. (And in someone else's review, their server mistook the mother for the birthday boy.)- Imitations of expensive meat/seafood do not justify the $100 price tag per person. I am personally vegan and am no stranger to vegan restaurants, yet this was excessive.- After all of this, the same front desk staff who was bad-mouthing customers' appearances had the audacity to mark the suggested tip on the receipt for our $200 meal. It's difficult to enjoy the experience with a toxic service from check-in to the last course. As other reviews have mentioned, this is a tourist trap.

This was something my fiancé wanted to try that I wasn't very excited for I admit. After the experience I was extremely glad we did it. It was very fun, the waiter was amazing and wish we weren't on a time crunch. For people asking about time frame: we called right when they opened and asked if it was possible to be in and out within an hour. They said we can do that and they performed perfectly moving us through the courses and giving time frame updates.Highly recommend

Ya gotta try everything once right! When they say blackout they mean it! The only things no you can see is the tiny lights on the servers nightvision goggles so they looked like shooting stars. Our server was so nice and described everything perfectly. The food! It was a 7 course meal and everything was absolutely delicious. I had a friend ruin it for me before I went so I won't be a spoiler for you. Obviously couldn't take pictures in the dark. They tell you the menu after you eat. I am quite sure I would not have eaten some of the stuff if I had seen it first and would have definitely had preconceived ideas, However everything was great.
Be the first to ReplyPacked like sardines & disgusting / mediocre food.
There is no control for obnoxiously loud, drunk people. Can't move without touching anyone around you - The greed spews in this establishment.... Spend your money elsewhere.

This is probably the best dinner "experience" that I've ever had. I was already intrigued by the idea of eating in the dark. I was even more excited when I found out that the menu was completely plant-based. What a great way to ensure that everyone can enjoy this experience. And honestly a lot of the food you couldn't even tell that it was plant-based. When I say you're eating in darkness, Is literally pitch black. Luckily though, all of your other senses are heightened and you feel more engaged with life and you are able to be more present. It may seem scary at first but it is very tranquil once you get used to it. The food was some of the best that I've ever had. The service was amazing, they made us feel so welcomed and comfortable with the experience.

great for a bucket list activity: do it there once in a lifetime. i give it 2-3 stars.you check-in at the desk, they give you a key then you store stuff in the locker, go to the reception area until called by server. wearing night vision goggles, he'll take you to your table. our server was pleasant and very clear in giving instructions. it is noisy and packed, you could touch the person seated next to you and if you could see how close they are, you'd go someplace else... but remember that you're there for the experience. no pictures of the menus are allowed (even if the food tastes horrible and some of the texture is squishy, like uncooked crabcakes with mayo). out of 7 courses of small bites, i finished only one (it was small taco stuffed with veggies). no dish should even be considered a meal so don't go there hungry and expect to be nicely full because you just might feel ripped off when time's up and stab someone with a fork while dining in the dark.

We went here on our last night in Vegas for a fun supper! The wait time was reasonable and the check-in desk was very helpful! Our server was oh so friendly and always had a joke to crack! Our server was George! The food was very good! I didn't like 2 of the dishes, but I am a little picky. It is definitely worth the fun of it and getting to experience dining in the dark! The price can run a little spendy, but I still recommend!

We had a great night, food was awesome, server was fun and entertaining. The whole experience was pleasant and would definitely recommend.
Be the first to ReplyExperience- fun and with the right date/group, really funny.
Ambience-Obviously pitch black, but feels really small. You eat your entire dinner while listening to almost every table share their thoughts about each course and some waiters tried too hard to be funny and so they come off annoying. The entire meal you also just hear plates being moved in and out of the kitchen which was distracting.Food- The food was not worth it. I can't disclose what we ate but I'll say that I felt what I would imagine a sheep hoarder eating on a winter night would eat. Nothing was unique. No complexity of flavors. I didn't eat 3.5/7 of the courses and the main entree was just not good at all. We left hungry!Value- overpriced. $230 plus tip. I'm sorry but you can get a great meal at so many places close by. Even though I can't share what we were served, I will say, if you know good food...it is a scam for what they charge. You're better off having a friend get some cheap ingredients, have them blind fold you and have them play chopped in your kitchen.2 stars only for the experience. Wouldn't recommend for the price.

We wanted to have an unique experience while in Vegas and we came across BLACKOUT Dining in the dark. Ok, no matter how dark of a room that you think you have been in, times in by 100. You can't see anything! I am not a person that gets anxiety from situations, but this really rattled me. I felt very claustrophobic. Our server was great and really tried to help us through it all. There are 7 courses to the meal and we were able to get through course #5. My biggest disappointment was that since my anxiety was overwhelming and I needed to leave, I asked if we could take course 6 and 7 to go. They told me no. Basically, you eat it here or not at all. Kicker was, I was still responsible for $89.99 per plate regardless if we finished it or not and I couldn't take it with me. If we couldn't make it through it - either discount us for the main course and dessert or allow us to take it home. You are worried about your secret getting out, then you need to switch up your menu. Also, we were never told what we ate. Being able to have your sight is a blessing and we all need to cherish it.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a must try experience with a group of people.
Very intense. Our waiter was great! I'm a vegan and think that the plant based menu was just okay. They gave like a 7 course meal and do a great job of recreating a high end meal as a vegan meal but I'm sure a comfort food type of meal would satisfy people a little more. Go for the experience. The food will be good if you have a more eclectic taste.
