Close to our residence, delivery available, has outdoor dining, but on busy intersection with lotsa traffic and unattractive views. Very popular with full, valet parking lot. Parts of this large restaurant's dining area are cozy and attractive with fireplace for cold weather dining. Upscale, well prepared fare but, as usual, very pricey. Considering the unrelenting, ongoing , rising inflation issues , the 'post' pandemic financial stress, ridiculous fuel, food prices and constant taxation's affect on family budgetary burdens, make the dining option, for this upscale restaurant, not possible for many local residents.

We have not been out to restaurants for all of Covid and came to celebrate my daughters birthday Saturday March 11th. We requested a table in the corner away from others and the staff was very understanding and gave us a nice table in the corner. All the staff was very good, but our waiter, Biz was excellent. Not only did he do his waiter job well he had a great personality, was genuine and paid attention to details. He made a special night even more memorable and we will not forget. it We would definitely return based on our experience. Food was good too. (Baked clams, steak for 2, onion rings, creamed spinach)

Be the first to ReplyWaiter did a great job but food was non edible and
Waiter did a great job but food was non edible and disgusting. Had reservations at 8:30 pm , didn't get seated til 9:45 pm. Crab cakes were burnt, bake clams breading was soggy, then main course the Chilean sea bass was burnt and dry not edible. Steak had no flavor . And the cream spinach had no cream at all. Home fries was burnt roasted potatoes with no onions or peppers. My guest did not eat the Chilean sea bass but one bite. And we were still charged for it Wich was ok because it's a small price to pay to learn my lesson and never go back. The check was almost $300 Wich is not too expensive if the food was good but to expensive for disgusting food. I'm 46 years old and never wrote a food review til today. I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. I'm starting to believe there reviews are fake w the experience I had. I've had better food at white castle. Stay away folks , it's not what it use to be . By far worst experience ever.
Be the first to ReplyAttempted to come here on Valentine's day today for dinner.
Had reservations for 8pm; arrived on time - waited over 30 minutes in line to say that we were there for our dinner reservation. Restaurant was clearly overbooked. Left and never got seated. Disappointing experience.
Be the first to ReplyIt's a damn good steak.
Damn good. Consistent. What a steakhouse should be. I've been here a few times and haven't been disappointed once.
Be the first to ReplyI ordered the surf & turf, and requested my steak well done.
It came out medium rare. The manager took it back. Returned 15 minutes later, with a new steak then was still undercooked. Very disappointed. Not what I accepted at all.

We went with a large group for a family birthday party with a price fix menu. The food was amazing! The service was fantastic. It was a really lovely evening.
Be the first to ReplyWe went pre-Covid and the experience was great.
I would highly recommend. The food is delicious. I had a petit filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for my fiancรฉ's birthday.
We got the filet mignon and lamb chops. Sides we selected were mashed potatoes, creamed (creamless) spinach, and lobster mac n cheese. My steak was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the side dishes. Outdoor covered area is nice but try to get the reservation inside.
Be the first to ReplyService has changed in recent years.
Despite reservations always seem to have to wait for a table. Requested outside when reservation but was seated inside after waiting nearly 30 mins. They really stuff the place beyond capacity and it is not an enjoyable ambiance for the price tag. They were also a bit disingenuous and told us Sundae's were not available for dessert. My 3 kids were disappointed and a few minutes later another waiter was carrying sundae's to another table. Why would you do that to kids of all people especially when we're spending $600+ on dinner? It became clear when we left because it was a madhouse outside and people were waiting even longer for a table. What a poorly run operation. It used to be really great...

So so sooo good! Came here for dinner with friends for the first time and everything was perfect. The foyer of the restaurant has a beautiful wine display and bar, and the dining room is just as beautiful and very spacious. We ordered a bunch of apps to start like the crab cakes, jumbo shrimp cocktail, calamari, & thick cut bacon- everything was amazing but the bacon was the star of the show. For our meal we ordered the steak for two which was juicy and so tender. We also got the Benjamin's home style fries and they were the perfect pairing with the steak. Definitely coming back here and would recommend to anyone for some good food *two thumbs up*
Be the first to ReplyI dined at Benjamin Steakhouse in White Plains in May and
I dined at Benjamin Steakhouse in White Plains in May and for a table of four individuals, we spent approx $600. I split the bill with another couple and on my half of the bill, I tipped 18.5% on the pre-tax amount of the bill, which I rounded off to the nearest $10 interval for simplicity. When I looked at my credit card bill that month, Benjamin Steakhouse charged me a higher number that was totally, entirely fictitious. On what I think is already a reasonable tip, they inflated the amount of the tip by an additional $10.74 to $60.02. This was clearly a deliberate and purposeful act of inflation on their part to increase the tip amount because their higher tip # bears no relation to any pre-tax, post-tax, subtotal, tip, or my written all-in total number. My total number had no cents and was rounded off and yet their inflated number implies both a higher dollar amount and some included cents, which bears no relation to any number or to any semblance of what I could have possibly written, which is also very clearly articulated on the receipt. Even during the credit card dispute, they show my written tip on the receipt, which validates my precise math and clearly shows they charged me a higher and fictitious amount, and yet I still need to continue onward with the dispute when the text is very clear. Very dishonest business and either there was a bad staff member trying to inflate their tips at the diners' expense or there is a systematic process in place at Benjamin Steakhouse White Plains to boost tips for all unsuspecting patrons.

Once again I had the pleasure of having Father's Day dinner at Benjamin's.I heard that they served 1300 people just yesterday and judging from my experience it must have been flawless. Superb, delicious, perfect. Great service, attentive staff and 5 star all the way.
Be the first to ReplyAll of us were very disappointed in our visit here.
It had been a few years since we last ate here and it has gone way down hill. The only good part of the meal were the steaks and the wine. We were a party of 5 to celebrate our future son-in-law's birthday. All started with cocktails...two of us ordered margaritas which tasted like they were made with a cheap mix and tasted watery. The stuffed clams tasted like they came from Costco...the clams were over cooked and breadcrumb topping was soggy. The sides were also disappointing. My salad had wilted lettuce and the tomatoes tasted mealy. The creamed spinach tasted bland and had the texture of baby food and wasn't even hot. The mashed potatoes were also flavorless and also were not hot. The Onion rings were pretty good. The desserts were lackluster. The service was spotty.

I had an absolutely amazing experience when dining here on a Wednesday. My reservation was for 7pm. Upon arrival the hostess was very friendly and sat me and my daughter right away. The service was very attentive and our server Vincenzo was the BEST!! He had a nice smile, made great recommendations and was attractive eye candy too (wink). The manager checked in on us twice as well. So the customer service is on point. Now on to the drinks and food. Nothing short of delicious. The vesper martini is so good. We had the lamb chops and prime rib. Cooked perfectly. I absolutely recommend and would go back.

Danny our waiter was AWESOME , him & team handled every situation swiftly when a complaint came up so i applaud them. Both of the Mac & ย they bought out was warm & the some of the ppl who had ย in my party complained that it wasn't too good. My step daughter said her loaded baked potato ย tasted funny the ย used on it wasn't too good. Half the ppl in my party wasn't too satisfied but didn't want to complain because it was my mother in law day. Like i stated before danny & his team was good but the food didn't execute the way i raved about it. There was too many to go plates when we should have all devoured our meals due to us waiting, ppl didn't want to complain to me or my wife bcuz it was a celebration.

Service, service, service! Amazing! Top notch all around, from valet parking to ice cold martinis and homemade grappa. A must for a steak night out. Recommend: baked clams, wedge salad, ribeye, filet, shishito peppers, no cream creamed spinach, pecan pie and ice cream sundae!

Good wine, great food, and a lovely atmosphere, the staff was attentive and kind, even the GM took his time to ask us how the food was and what he recommended. If you're lookin to splurge on a fat juicy steak with some incredible sides, this is true place to go! The French onion soup was one of the best I ever had.
Be the first to ReplyIt's a steak house, a well known steak house at that.
Food is always delicious, and you know exactly what you are going to get every time.

As COVID restrictions are starting to lift (again), one of the things in my sphere that is making a return is educational dinners. I enjoy attending these because I usually learn something new while dining at a restaurant that is new to me. My most recent educational outing brought me here to Benjamin's Steakhouse; while I'm not the biggest red meat eater, I do indulge every once in a while so I was looking forward to gaining some knowledge over some steak. There are a few Benjamin locations in NYC but to my knowledge this is the only one in Westchester. The location is a smidge off the beaten path, not really next to any other commercial establishments and more surrounded by residential homes. The entrance is also a little confusing, because you need to pass through two different outdoor seating areas before reaching the actual restaurant entrance. Once inside, I was quickly shown to a private room where the presentation as being held. The decor was typical steakhouse - lots of dark woods and chunky furniture with a high-end feel. We had a prix-fixe menu with with choices of starters and mains. I decided on the Caesar salad which was good - nothing too outstanding but also not bad. For mains we had a choice of ribeye, salmon, or pasta - and since I was at a steakhouse I went with the ribeye. It's not my favorite cut of beef, but being at a steakhouse I wasn't going to bypass it. The ribeye was good - and HUGE, like wow I didn't expect them to serve me such a big cut with the bone and everything. It was cooked to my liking with lots of flavor. They also gave us sides of fries, creamed spinach, broccoli which were all tasty. The broccoli was definitely the standout since it was cooked with lots of garlic (see my profile tagline). For dessert they served us slices of red velvet, chocolate mousse, and key lime pie which again were all tasty. Service was good, they were on top of it and everything came out in conjunction with the pace of the presentation. I've been to many presentations where we were sitting there long after the presentation was over waiting for food, so it was refreshing to see the synchronous pace. Overall, I had a good experience at Benjamin's. I don't frequent steakhouses too often, but it's nice to know this place is close to me in case I'm in the mood.
