This was a great choice.
We had a large party of people and they took care of us. Drinks and steamed dumplings were a good fit. We sat outside along the walkway and although it was cold was bearable. Will go back again. All of the dumplings, sui mai and other dim sum type foods were very good and went fast.

Their service was on point and way better than other Chinese restaurants around the place in London. The ambiance was very cozy and lively. I would 10/10 recommend

Ran into this restaurant by accident walking around London Chinatown. This one is not on the main drag but it's a great place to get Chinese dumplings and preened good Chinese dishes. Ladies make dumplings fresh by the window next entrance. We had to wait in line, but were quickly seated. Plenty of seatings to accommodate customers. Fast service and friendly. Price is much better than those on the main street.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service, good was amazing, worth the wait to get in.
Staff very friendly and food arrived fast

Wish I visited at the start of my trip and not last day, else would definitely had more meals there! Literally the best hot and sour soup I've had in my life. There was a line but it moved quickly, got in after 20 mins. Excellent food and reasonable prices! Amazing balance of flavors!

I came here with some friends and we had such a great time! We devoured the food and everything was good. The dumplings were the best part though. They were so fresh and the filling in all of them were delicious. The service was great and the restaurant was very cute. We were at a table in the back and thought it was the perfect spot. I will definitely go back here!
Be the first to ReplyThe dumplings were quite good and readily prepared.
I thoroughly enjoyed my dish and the sauces provided. The service was pretty decent as well and the look of the restaurant was quite good. Very nice place to stop by in case you're looking for some good soup dumplings! Only qualm was I didn't love the sichuan Dan Dan soup, but that was neither here nor there.

The place to go when you're in London Chinatown. Don't waste your time and money with other tourist traps

Well well well!!! Definate a good spot to visit if you are Chinatown London. It is a nice cozy place. It has a downstairs and upstairs. As you walk in, you get the full experience of traditional dumpling place. The menu was very big and they covered a wide range of traditional chinese food. The food was very good, loved it. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Definitely will return to the spot and recommend to anyone looking for some good chinese food in London.

Get there before 12 for lunch to beat the lunch rush and you'll have plenty of seats. The xiao long baos were filled with good soup and meats. Did not break when lifted up with shopsticks. Good signs when eating these!

Everything ordered had zero taste.Tom Yom soup- bland. I asked if they had hot chili pepper to add to the soup, and made the mistake of not saying chili oil, so the waitress said no, they don't have that. Thought maybe it was an English thing, until I saw little dishes of it on other tables.Dim Sum was tastelessGarlic Shrimp was actually shrimp in white sauce with way too many chopped onions. Said it was supposed to be spicy but it wasn't even close.Walk past this one.... And fast

Solid spot for go to classic chinese dishes such as wontons, noodles, hot and sour soup and of course dumplings. This spot features the massive soup dumpling that's drunk through a straw but they only make a few per day so be sure to claim yours early! Food is pretty good for a reasonable price. Nothing was super mind blowing (especially the dumplings) but they weren't bad. There tends to be a wait to dine in at this location and they have other classics such as dimsum options.

Look at the google reviews!! This place has a history of telling patrons of the African diaspora that there is a minimum for lunch! There is no minimum mentioned on the website or anywhere in the restaurant. Multiple past customers have complained about the staff treating patrons of African descent poorly aware. AVOID THIS PLACE!

A cozy spot for some yummy soup dumplings! After traveling Europe for a couple weeks I was longing for some Chinese comfort food and this restaurant didn't disappoint. I got their pork filled soup dumplings--good flavor, good amount of broth. Definitely hit the spot, but also nothing too special.
Be the first to ReplyOverall, the food and service were good.
I didn't have a negative experience, but it wasn't anything to write home about either (not to say the food was bad). In fact, I quite enjoyed my lunch in London very much. Coming from a Chinese family who eats homemade meals every night, I can safely say this restaurant would be a nice place to stop by for a meal if you don't feel like cooking, but not particularly phenomenal or nostalgic like my grandfather's recipes. First, we had gotten the xia long bao, which to be honest, were not my favorite part of the meal. The issue with xia long bao is that there are many other places with really good soup dumplings that it is either a hit or a miss. However, they were decent and plenty delicious. We had also gotten Mapo Tofu. It is one of my favorite tofu dishes, but it is often made wrong. Props to Beijing Dumpling House for making it how it is supposed to be made. They did not make it corn starchy or disgustingly goopy, which I greatly appreciated. However, I would personally add a bit more of a bold flavor to it. In my opinion, Mapo Tofu needs an extra kick to really put it over the top. I am not a spice or meat fanatic by any means, but this dish really does benefit from it. However, at the same time, Beijing Dumpling House's take on the dish is vegetarian friendly and doesn't leave you with an oily throat, so I give it my seal of approval nonetheless. I found it tasty!!! We had also gotten a chicken dish which was pretty good, as well. I do wish we had ordered the Beijing duck dish, though. I absolutely adore Beijing duck and the table next to us ordered it. It looked so good, but I was already full of tofu. Maybe next time? It's a lot better than the Asian food where I live in Florida, though, certainly. I wish there were more places like this that cook how the food was meant to be made over here! All in all, I really did enjoy my time here and I thank Beijing Dumpling House for the lovely meal.

Great dumplings and XLB in London! We went here for dinner before our theatre experience and the food was prepared super quickly. We were in and out in 45 minutes and didn't miss a beat for our showing. The XLB was very different than I was used to. The skin was thick and the inside was super meaty. The price point is also exceptionally well. We were too full to finish everything we ordered. Really appreciated the quick service here and delicious food with such fast turn-around time.

Xiao long bao for the win! Both these and the pan fried pork dumplings were really amazing! My daughter is in love! Great selection of dim sum goodies and Chinese dishes to choose from! Would definitely recommend when in London's Chinatown.

I ordered the crab and pork dumpling and 2 of their signature seafood supreme "large " dumplings in which they advertise they make only 50 daily.when I ordered 2 for myself, the lady tried to discourage me from ordering more than one as "they were big".They were more like a big disappointment. They were just medium size 2" in diameter and the seafood was minimal. The crab and pork dumplings were just okay. The skin of both the dumpling was too think and heavy. Don't expect a warm welcome, a thank you or even a smile.Would not recommend this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyI ordered crab & pork xiao long bao, fiery dumplings soup
I ordered crab & pork xiao long bao, fiery dumplings soup and honey garlic ribs and my friend ordered shredded beef in basket and egg fried rice. The xiao long bao was quite dry to me and went cold within 5mins. The fiery dumpling was bland and the soup broth mainly tasted like spring onions. My friend said her food lacked flavour and tasted too "fresh" like that ingredients hasn't had time to mix together to pickup the aromatics. I absolutely loved the honey garlic ribs, the sauce and tenderness of the ribs was amazing. If I go there again that's all I would get honestly

The service is pretty bad, but the dumplings are so good that it still deserves 4 stars. Loved the dim sum, the fried pork dumplings and the pork and vegetable dumplings!
Be the first to ReplyWe were here on Saturday.
I can't get thee tom yum with prawns soup out of my mind. It was superb & a great cure for jet lag. We were first in line & it filled up fast. You order off of a strip of paper (like sushi bars) service was quick and portions were large. I also had an order of fried pork dumplings and was plenty full. We enjoyed a tsing tao beer & a bottle of warm sake. The ambience was nice, very clean restrooms & they played ethnic music. That's a must for me! (I hate going too restaurants that play obnoxious pop music!) we met a French man while we were waiting who has lived in London 10 years and has been on a quest for the best dumplings, & this is the place! Lucky for us! I'm back for more on a Thursday. It's not as crowded and still fantastic.

Cheap & easy bao, it was good and only like 6 pounds for an order of bao. I would come back to try more food. Also, the sides of rice were a fantastic sized portion.
Be the first to ReplyGiving this place 2 star "s for food and staff.
start with staff that mainly cause it to be 2stars. they forgot sauce twice because the blonde hair kid was playing too much with other staff. now the food! duck suck because it's dry as f..k. dan dan noodle more like don't don't noodle. shanghai dumplings was serve and cook without under layer the broth in dumpling gone. tour trap i say!! and reviews who give 4 or 5 star you such losers. worth part the michelin guide employees should be fire! who the hell this place made it on your list. well michelin not the same, they cheapen rating probably to cater the liberals.
Be the first to ReplyIt was okay.
I have a hard time finding good Chinese in London because I think they are not as spicy or flavorful. The food here was like that. Even with me asking for chili oil on the side. It was okay food.
