Hello, I don't usually comment on my restaurant experiences. But I decided to do it to share my experience with you so that it can be useful to other customers but also to the team of this restaurant. Last Friday, I booked a solo table because I was in Monaco for the day. This Friday was special because we were on red alert for storm warnings. Faced with the deluge, I showed up at 11:40 a.m. asking if I could be sheltered in a small corner. Knowing that I would only be served at midday. The head waiter curtly replied that they only opened at noon and that by then I couldn't move into the establishment. I didn't insist and I came out in the downpour and the wind. But when it was time to leave, an assistant arrived giving the keys to Mr.…’s Bentley. And they arrived early. I then returned at 12:03 p.m. The same character pointed at my umbrella and said dryly: “Mr. umbrellas outside” pointing at an umbrella stand outside the establishment. I turned around in a daze, not knowing whether to slavishly put down my umbrella or turn on my heel and walk away. A start told me to go to the end and not stop at this individual beyond all hospitality and welcome. The client is king ? Do we say? Not here… However, once installed, the service was completely correct, attentive and polite. I had a lunch menu, very good value for money, tasty meat, homemade butter sauce, truffle… A treat, as the waiter came to reheat me twice with a blowtorch because the butter had a tendency to congeal. I left with some disappointment. The whole experience left me with a bitter taste. Who would dare not welcome a person within 20 minutes in the storm? Who, on the other hand, would welcome a gentleman in a Bentley…? Who points a finger at a customer, and makes him come out and put down his umbrella...?
