Barnwood LaGrange Reviews
The food was not good
Good service, not excellent. Food was subpar. The rice was hard, it either wasn't cooked all the way or set too long under a heat lamp. The shrimp was over cooked. The steak was tough and chewy. I couldn't even eat a portion. The appetizers (wings and loaded fries) were good though. I will not eat here again.
Great service and food!!! Salmon was amazing!!!! My kids
Great service and food!!! Salmon was amazing!!!! My kids got steak. It was good as well. One got a side of Mac and cheese and it covered almost the entire plate!! Reservations at 8pm and we were seated right on time. No long wait for anything!!
Sweeeeeet lord, where do I start.
So, we ordered spinach dip that came out like warm. Nothing like dairy when it's like warm. Then I ordered the shrimp Alfredo which also came like warm and mind you this menu item is like $28 or something and it was like I went to a drive thru.. presentation was sloppy. When you cook pasta at restaurants they pre portion servings after like, par boiling it.. the rest of the cooking process takes place in the pan with the sauce... guaranteed they threw the pasta in there and didn't let it continue to cook at all before plating the food because it was not hot and the pasta was not cooked through correctly. All this to say I wouldn't scrutinize this if I was at an Arby's.. but if I'm paying 20-30 dollars for an entree please get my food right. It should be hot. Should be cooked correctly and oh the shrimp was just a touch undercooked as well. Then moving on to my husband... his food was so salty he could not barely eat it. We really should have sent all the food back but we were hungry and didn't want to have to wait any longer.. but yall. Also PLEASE have more Gluten free menu options. Also would be helpful to put symbols next to GF items considering that literally this is the only "nice place to eat at GW Lodge. There are so many wonderful things about GWL and I'd go more if the food wasn't so bad.
Food was ok.
Seems like every time we come back here the menu selection is less, quality is a little worse and price gets higher.
Nice sit down restaurant while staying at great wolf lodge.
We liked our chicken and artichoke dip. Cocktails were nice as well.

We have ate here a couple times and it has been excellent both times! Service was also very good! This will be our 3rd time eating here in the past few months! We love the spaghetti! It is excellent!

Located inside the Great Wolf Lodge This is the upscale restaurant that they have. The food is delicious! I was really happy with the steak that I ordered and the service provided by Miss Debra was just the icing on the cake..

We eat here every time we visit! Remembering this is a kid themed adventure park, there will be kids playing and having fun! It is not a romantic dinner for two occasion especially earlier in the evening. The food is always TREMENDOUS! The wings are 10/10.

My family loves Barnwood at Great Wolf! When we book our trip, I make reservations to eat dinner there every night to make sure we always get a table. I love the salmon, and my son loves the burgers and fries. It's relaxing to have a nice dinner there after a day at the water park and lunch at Buckets. The servers are always so friendly.
40 minute wait and “busy” waiter??
At first this seemed very nice and comfy place. The waitress came right away to give us our menus. But then things went downhill, because after we ordered, we waited literally 40 minutes, and it’s not even the chefs fault, they had the food ready, but the waitress never even checked if our food was ready! We had to tell the waitress to check our food, cause she was just standing there and chatting with her workers. After that she finally gave us our food and she didn’t even say “sorry for the wait” or anything like that! The food was ok, but since the waitress took forever, the cheese on my creamy shrimp Alfredo had already dried! That’s how long it’s been sitting out without the waiter knowing! I’d give the food 3/5 but the service, or more like that one waitress, is definitely a 0. I definitely don’t recommend this place!
bad service
Food was ok, but honestly overpriced. $30 for a small dish. Service was terrible though. After we ordered, we waited 40 minutes before asked the waitress when our food was going to come. She said she’d go check on it, but never came back to let us know. Instead, we saw her chatting with the other waitresses. 10 minutes later, we asked her again and she said she’d go check again. Apparently it turned out our food was ready a while ago but the waitress just never brought it out.
Food was basic and way over priced.
Wasn't the same as before cheaper food higher prices staff was great

Our pack visited Great Wolf Lodge on 7/25/24 and made reservations at Barnwood for 5:30 PM. We were seated promptly. As a starter, we ordered the Cheesy Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip, so yummy! Kids ordered Kids Cheeseburger Meal and Kids Chicken Tenders Meal. Both orders came out timely and was hot and fresh. My husband and I shared the Roasted 1/2 Chicken with Mashed Potatoes & Green Beans Dinner. This is a lot of food and with us sharing there was still some left over. Food came out timely and was hot and fresh. Also, yummy! Lastly but definitely not least, our server, Sarah S. Very knowledgeable around the menu, attentive and prompt. She is definitely an asset to Barnwood. We hope Barnwood will acknowledge her in a special way. She is a jewel. Looking forward for our next visit! Kathleen K.
Good dinner at resort.
We had dinner here on a saturday night. We put ourselves on the list and were seated at 8:30 PM. I had a couple of beers and my wife had the mojito which was very good. The corn bread was great and the so were the onion rings. The loaded fries were enjoyed by the kids. My wife and I had the bowls. Great food but way to big portions - next time we would just do 1 bowl. My daughter had the grilled cheese and fries. Everyone finished stuffed and happy
Food was flavorless.
I had the Nashville Hot Chocken Sandwich. My husband had the shrimp Alfredo with chicken. All food tastes like it was frozen and just warmed up. No flavor. Not good

The food is excellent! Every time I go to great wolf lodge I always eat there at least once for the steak. Always cooked perfect and great flavor
Food was more than an hour and half late.
But the waiter, Robert, had the manager comp our food. He knew I was not able to tip because they are cashless at the resort. He still gave us 5-star service. The food was mediocre at best. Service was top notch. Thank you, Robert.
The service was wonderful.
Great vibes inside the restaurant. The menu needs a facelift.. They did a great job of making the items sound delicious but the execution was not there. We ordered 6 different items and the only thing that I would even consider getting again is the salsa. The Chili Chicken bowl has zero flavor at all and it consisted of large hunks of breast instead of a traditional sliced, shredded or even cubed. The Bolognese was essentially overly oiled noodles with meat sauce.. we never did quite find the "Braised short rib" that it's supposed to have. The burgers were over cooked and hard. We aren't foodies by any means but the food is comparable to what you'd receive from a food court. Again, the server, host, and bartender were all wonderful. If the menu stands as it is and improvements aren't made we won't return.

Tasty food, large portions, many options for kids and great beer (great wolf peach!).
My husband and I had purchased food vouchers for Great Wolf
My husband and I had purchased food vouchers for Great Wolf Lodge before we read the reviews of the restaurants. After reading the reviews for this restaurant, we were sad about the possibility of getting bland overpriced food. We got seated and were told that the menu was new as of yesterday March 6th 2024, and we got even more nervous. I ordered the Roasted Half Chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy and garlic green beans. My husband got the burger, my son ordered the wing appetizer and for my daughter we ordered the kids chicken tenders. This restaurant is 5 stars and earned every last star! The food was cooked to perfection, even the kids meal you can tell they put care in it. The kids chicken tenders were juicy and not over breaded and it came with fresh fries, carrots, celery and two large orange wedges WITHOUT SEEDS! I was thinking and prepared to think we were going to have to eat unhealthy for this vacation to Wolf Lodge, but I am so glad this restaurant was an option! My Half Chicken was FREE RANGE chicken and juicy! The green beans were just the right amount of crisp with tasty garlic flavor. The burger was WAY better than Applebees or Texas Roadhouse. I was so impressed! To top it off, the staff was super nice, and I celebrated my birthday and they brought the most delicious fudge brownie complimentary with a birthday WOLF song. This restaurant was the highlight for me after seeing my children's smiles while playing at the water park. Thank you to Tammy for the great service and for the cooks in the back. We definitely felt the love in the food on our plates.
The food is not worth the price.
The menu is limited. The service was mediocre. I had to go find my waitress twice.
Food was nice, the server was great.
The ambiance was too loud, I feel like it should be closed off more from the rest of the hotel. Also had a few people walk around wet with no shoes or shirt while in the restaurant.

Pretzel and short rib pasta were great! Burger was good, fries great! Do not get the s'mores dessert, yuck! Cold marshmallows on top of chocolate sauce. Not really what we were wanting and definitely not worth $18.

We go to Great Wolf Lodge every year and always "need" a place for dinner with 3 small kids. I planned ahead this year, and made a reservation at Barnwood for 5:30. Server was great, Food was very slow in coming, tho the restaurant was not full/busy. Ribs were ok. Would not order again. Kids meals were small and nothing special. Salad with salmon was good. Meal over all was nothing special and $100, with all of us drinking water. We will do Uber Eats next year. Or, just go straight to Ben and Jerry's.

We eat dinner here every night we are at Great Wolf Lodge! The service is great and it's nice the kids can go play Magiquest while we are waiting on our food.

Best thing was the wolf-a-Rita! The orange slice really added a great flavor. Our party for the meatballs, nachos, rib pasta, and chicken lettuce wraps. Everything was pretty good but would like to see more options on the menu. Service was friendly and attentive
Our experience was amazing.
We had a horrible check in at the hotel, but after finding our way to the bar, Alex helped us all into a better mood. She was extremely kind, funny, knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. The food was outstanding! The following night we had dinner as a family and all of our meals were exceptional. The roasted chicken was the best I've ever had! The salmon was cooked perfectly. And the kids enjoyed their kids meals. Our server that night was Sarah S. Everyone we keep in contact with was very helpful and always smiling. The chefs spared no detail on flavors.
If I could leave less than one star, I would have.
Waited an hour after the reservation time, only to get seated and then wait more than an hour for our order - which was sub-par at best. After spending almost two hours there, I only managed to get one drink refill. It was agonizing. When we apprehend Al-Qaeda operatives, we should send them there.
Relaxing Dining Option at Great Wolf Lodge
The food is very good and the best option at the Lodge. We enjoyed the steak and fries, pasta and hamburger. Great service.
Not worth it
Absolutely not worth the price for this restaurant food quality. The food is bland and just not good. One dish tasted no more than chef boyardee noodles. They did a little birthday song for our son which was nice. Going to Wendy’s down the street would be a better cheaper option for your family.
Do not waste your time or money
We went for an impromptu family weekend Jan 14-16 2023. Upon arrival they had a power outage. We were not able to eat or even grab a drink or snack for the kids after a 6 hour drive and waiting to get there to eat. Had to walk up 6 flights with kids to get to the room. And when asked if there was anything they could Do as far as food, mind you they had our card on file for charges and could’ve noted system, we were told sorry they would not do anything but papa johns wasn’t a far drive . Seriously?! Then it just kept that tone for the trip. Rude staff at most areas, the build a bear team were the only high point. Then after a day of not shaving anything that made up for behavior of staff we sat to dinner 1&1/2 hours after reservation, now 8:30pm, at 10:00 they finally brought out our food, which we had to take to the room because the hungry kids were falling asleep at the table, only to find out they gave us wrong meals and horribly over cooked steaks. When I went to speak to desk they were rude and said I’d have to wait till a manager was willing to talk to me the next day. Needless to say we got up first thing and left with no intention of coming back. For what it cost there are better places that are far more worth the buck. Beware!
Entertainment
The place was great but don’t trust them on the entertainment. We made a trip just for the Halloween monster mash dance party. I spend a lot of money for 15 min dance party. Not only that I was told the game room was 24 hours and after I payed for a game card they shut down all the games. I send my advisor a message and all she said “I will tell the company to update the site”
