I've not had much Nepalese food before so I'm glad I came with large group of friends so we were able to try a number of items. Our server was very helpful at explaining the menu and giving us recommendations. Almost all the dishes we ordered were quite delicious. We were very surprised by the Sukuti Sandheko which was fried but cold and almost like a jerky. We liked all the momos except for the chilly (fried) momos. We also really liked the crispy rice that came with the Ktm Khaja set. One of my favorite dishes was the bandel (wild boar) which was a deliciously fatty pork belly.
It was my Lyft driver that highly recommended this place.
He said he and his family come here often. He is from Nepal. I always get Korean fried chicken next door at Mad for Chicken and never tried Bajeko. Our server, Tsering, was so sweet. All of her recommendations were spot on. For drinks, I got the masala tea and the mango lassi. Actually, I had 2 mango lassis. I ordered 1 order of the bone soup. It's made from goat bones. Our server split the soup in 2 pots so both me and husband could try. It was a bit salty but flavorful. The spices were good. You can feel the slight burn in the throat...in a good way. I felt like it warmed my soul on a cold rainy day. We wanted to try both steamed and panfried momos. Originally, we were going to order the steamed chicken momos but our server recommended the goat momos. They were delicious! They were so juicy, some juice on my clothes. Yes, I'm a slob. For the panfried momos, we did order chicken. I couldn't tell if the momos were spicy or the sauce. The red sauce is spicy, the yellow sauce is milder. I liked the steamed goat momos and my husband liked the panfried chicken momos. You get 8 momos per order. By the time we finished the momos, we were almost full. For the entree, we ordered the butter chicken masala. It smelled so good with all the spices and flavors. It comes with a pot of basmati rice. We also ordered a side of garlic naan and was way better than Trader Joe's garlic naan. The sauce is so yummy, we dipped the garlic naan in the sauce and ate it. We were so full, we had no room for dessert. We will have to come back and try other dishes. This place is good for groups. We saw a lot of families eat here. We found metered parking right outside the restaurant.
The restaurant itself was very nice.
You could tell they take very good care of it. They had my to-go order ready when I had it scheduled so I was happy. The food I had was alright. The chicken was flavorful and went well with the puff rice. There needed to be at least one more side to give moisture, that or at least increase the serving size. The first thing to come to mind when I looked at the container and the amount I got was "airplane food." The portion was laughable for the price. It's NYC yeah but it wasn't life changing enough for me. I'm rounding up with 2.5/5 stars.

Service, food, ambiance 10/10!!! Minoosh (I apologize if I spelled his name incorrectly) and the staff were so kind and always checked up on us. Our water and wine were always refilled and our food tasted AMAZING! We shared 4 dishes among 4 of us and we all noted how good the different curry dishes tasted. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in Sunnyside.

When I sat down at my table and saw the photos on the wall, I knew this place would be good. I was clearly the target audience for this place, but that might not apply to everyone (some people are prudes). If you are a prude, don't look at any pictures, just stare at the wall or tv. They are fine too. The food is really good - tasty but not oily. The dal bhat is the traditional Nepali meal, and it's fantastic here. Also tried momos and biryani, which were very good as well. I'm not Nepali, so can't say how authentic the flavors are, but I can say I like the food better here than other Nepali and Indian restaurants in NYC. Service is very good. The staff are knowledgeable about the food and were able to answer all questions. I don't write reviews of places because I can't articulate well beyond I liked it or I didn't like it, but I really liked this place. If you're not a prude, try it and you might like it as well. If you don't like it, that's ok. It will be less crowded for when I'm there.
Live music beautiful food
Everything reminded me of being back in Nepal. Wonderful variety of Nepali food best enjoyed with family and friends . The host and servers were very friendly and accommodating with the singers accepting your song requests made the evening extra special. I highly recommend this venue for that special nights, specially on weekends. Thank you for great evening.
We had a great experience here a few weeks ago.
I've had Nepalese food before, but I'm definitely not an expert. We shared a few dishes between two of us and had leftovers to bring back home. Although everything was yummy, our favorite was the Jhol Momo. Prices are good considering the size of the portions. Staff were friendly, attentive, and informative when helping us decide what to order. The space is quite big and nicely decorated. I would definitely come back for more if in the area!

This was on my list of places to check out in the neighborhood since I live so close by and have never been here before. It was empty on Monday night, but as it got later on in the night, people started to come in, and it started to fill up. I'm wondering if it's normally like this on a weeknight. If it is, that's great! The service was great either way. Even though it got busy, they were still very attentive. My friend and I got the Cheese Naan, which was similar to a quesadilla (because it is filled with cheese and has the same texture). I enjoyed it a lot. We also ordered the jhool momo chicken dish. This is like a version of dumplings in this sauce, which made the entire dish salty. I wasn't too fond of it. We also tried the khaja set (non vegetarian). I couldn't eat all of it, but there was a mixture of nuts, vegetables, and meat. The one thing I really enjoyed was the cheese naan. I may have to try and explore other things off the menu to see what else I like at the restaurant.

As soon as you walk in you feel like you are in a village in Nepal with their clay stove display. Very typical. The service was good one of the girls in our party (name starts with an Nis...and ends with a ma) thought one of the servers was cute lol. Food was very authentic and tasted exactly as I've tasted it in Nepal. On top of that the items on the menu you don't just find at just any Nepali place.. they even had bhuttan and tauko. If your are from Nepal or been there you know what I'm talking about. If you're not, you have to go and find out(be open minded). I honestly have not found another nepali restaurant this close to home like this one. So glad we made it to Queens just for this. Vibes!!!!!

This was my first time trying Nepali food and it was a pleasant experience! The service was quick and the waitresses were very friendly. They had bollywood songs playing in the background and overall, the food was pretty similar to Indian food but the flavor profile was a bit different. We tried the steamed momos which were DELICIOUS and paired really well with the sauces that were provided. We also shared the goat dal bhat. It was essentially a thali with rice paired with a goat curry, cauliflower curry, dal, pickle, etc. The curries were on the sweeter side and I honestly would've preferred a bit more spice but regardless, it tasted great.
I went here tonight.
It was okay, but I won't go again. It was early so there weren't many people. Service was kind of odd. Maybe one of the servers was new. Decor was also spartan and odd. There are illuminated display spots on the wall with nothing in them...just lighted cubby hole areas with blank wall. I ordered Timmure chicken and both servers kept asking me if that's all I wanted and were suggesting additional dishes. I couldn't tell why, but eventually I realized the chicken dish I ordered didn't come with rice or any vegetables so they were trying to say it wasn't a complete meal. I ordered some garlic naan which was okay. Rice or potatoes wouldn't have made the chicken better. Butter chicken or tandoori chicken would probably been better choices. The chicken came right away. The club soda I ordered came afterwards and the naan eventually came when I was about 1/2 done with the chicken. One of the servers asked me if the chicken was too spicy, which it wasn't for me. I just wasn't super hungry so I ate 1/2 and took the rest home. There are plenty of other places to try in the area that are probably better. It was close to where I'm staying which is the main reason I chose it.
Had been wanting to try this popular spot for a long time.
The paneer chili was delicious! Such a perfect texture and flavor. The chicken jhol momo here was good, but the jhol surprisingly spicy. I was struggling! I'd come back to try other dishes.
