Artusi Seattle Reviews from The Last Year
I had a need for pasta and a salad.
I was solo, so a bar top was preferable. Artusi was perfect. There were two other solo diners at the bar, so I was alone, but not. I chose the carbonara because I can cook, and this is something I have recipes for, but never made. Now I have a benchmark to target when making it at home. The salad was a perfect way to eat a scallop and veges that cut the richness of the carbonara.

Artusi is a lovely cocktail bar, charmingly decorated, with a lovely view of 14th Avenue through its large, sweeping windows. I went there with my family for a special occasion after seeing some stellar reviews of the food and was curious to try out the place for myself. We started with drinks, which were definitely a standout, as the cocktail menu features a variety of specialty and seasonal cocktails which were well-dressed, presented, dynamic, and refreshing. Then came the food which was also fantastic. The pasta is all made in-house and you can definitely taste the freshness. My dish, the Pasta Della Sera, was a bit bland, but my family's dishes were quite good, and I would definitely recommend trying the meatballs. Although others have noted the portion sizes, they did not bother our group as the food was very hearty. I really wanted to give this place five stars, but I found our server throughout the experience to be cold and frazzled by questions regarding the menu's unconventional ingredients, a charming aspect of the place that interested our group. Despite their professed confidence in their knowledge of the menu, our server appeared to have quite a bit of difficulty articulating the flavor profiles of the various drinks and food items and became noticeably irritable when asked for reccomendations. It was below standard for a place with otherwise such lovely atmosphere and food. With that being said, every other employee we encountered at Artusi was warm and friendly so perhaps we got unlucky with that particular server. I will certainly be back and would recommend Artusi to anyone who likes fresh pasta and unique drinks.

We came here monday for an early dinner before the kraken game. We got the wine and pasta for 2. First the restaurant is well kept with, lots of windows and it just had a fresh atmosphere inside. Optional patio seating for hot summer days which is a bonus. The service was really prompt and knowledgeable, really nice fellow who took care of us. The food was absolutely delicious, the meatballs were moist and the bruschetta was a healthy sized portion with a little kick to it. If i had one gripe which is a stretch i'll admit is that the portion size of my mezzaluna was tiny BUT it was really good. Here's some pics and all in all a home run and will be coming back soon.

Meh. None of the flavors were jumping out or speaking to me. Tiramisu wasn't doing its thang!!
I've been going here every month for the better part of 2
I've been going here every month for the better part of 2 years now! My boyfriend and I love coming here - the staff, food, and seasonal dishes are incredible. A common remark is the portion sizes being small, and it's definitely true but make sure to take your time with each dish. They're excellently crafted and the pasta is made in-house. We try to make it through each of their seasonal menus as they come out. We haven't had a bad experience yet! The cocktails are also gorgeous, just not in my standard flavor profile so I typically opt for their house wine. The atmosphere is one of my favorites: quirky yet classy, with an art deco style which makes it fun, relaxed, yet elevated. Note: there's a decent parking garage to the left of Artusi's entrance in case you can't find cheaper street parking. Subnote: you're paying a bit extra for the craftsmanship and service so expect to pay a bit more for less quantity (but definitely high quality!)
Food, ambience and service were all perfect.
Top that with a great happy hour equals excellent experience! Definitely coming back here!

Took the entire family, kids included, to Seattle for a week. Searched around for a high-end but not too expensive Italian restaurant and landed on Artusi. Lucky for us, when we wandered in without a reservation, they had availability and a table for four. We sat by the window and watched people wander by and look jealously in the window. we shared a variety of great dishes - fried hazelnuts, Barada, fish, pasta. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend the meatballs, which come with a side of extremely buttery garlic toast. we also shared a bottle of the house red, a Pinot Noir that paired perfectly with our food. Service was a bit on the moody side, but attentive. Highly recommend!!
Definitely on our list to go back.
No reservations, walk in only. We were sat at the chef's bar. So fun to watch them work their magic and to be able to chat with them at the same time. Service is impeccable, love the vibe of the space. Can't wait to go back and get more meatballs!!
Underwhelming, overpriced, so hungry.
I think people are hyping it and coming here because they see that it's full on the inside, but if you're really curious, come sit down and eat, it's pretty meh in every way.
No one picks up the phone or returns calls.
Email on the website bounces back, not super helpful.

Great dinner spot in Seattle! I went on a Sunday night and got seated right away. We decided to do the Pasta and Wine night, which was so worth it!! The pastas were delicious, and the price is unbeatable. We also ordered a meatball and the Fry Bread appetizer--both were great. Would definitely go again!
Spinasse's little sibling packs a punch
Artusi is the conjoined twin of Spinasse. In fact, there is even a door connecting both restaurants. However, vibe and menu are different and while I love the tajarin at spinasse, Artusi has the more subtle flavors. Bread was awesome and copious. This was good, because the pasta dish was a little small for my taste. The arugula salad was absolutely delicious and so were the mezzaluna. Delicate, flavorful, just perfect. My only complaint is that I could have had a double portion. Tiramisu was good, but I like it less sweet and with more booze (personal preference). Service was friendly, but at times felt rushes. Overall worth a visit. Think of it this way: either roll the dice to decide if you take the left (Spinasse) over the right (Artusi) door, or book the counterpart when no spots are available in the other.

This is the best Italian restaurant in the city as far as I'm concerned. The fried bread, the meatball, the braised pork with white beans, the cop salad, and the squash cake are all to die for. Honestly there is nothing here I haven't loved. The portions are on the smaller side but are much closer to what a pasta serving should be anyways.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
