Great Italian Deli!
Stopped here to grab a sandwich for lunch on a recommendation. Truly a gem to behold. Both our sandwiches were awesome. I recommend the pork and rabe sandwich. Also took some tiramisu at cannoli to go. They have pasta, sauces, deli meats, and homemade desserts. Can’t wait to go back.

I went for of their panini's. I chose the daily special and was told It would be ready in ten minutes ,and someone would call me when it was ready. They took my name and I waited outside at one of the small tables in front of the store. After more than ten minutes and not hearing from them, I went back into this deli to find out what happened with my lunch and was told someone called my name and I didn't answer. I informed the owner. I was sitting right outside in front of the restaurant and my friend and I heard nothing. What happened next was unbelievable. His response to me was "Cool it" In a, completely disrespectful tone like he was talking to a petulant child. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. By the way, it wasn't a Panini. It was a sandwich with a toasted bun, It was so salty I could barely eat it I'll never go in there again and spend my money in a place with mediocre food, where the owner Talked to me in such a disrespectful manner. Don't waste your money or your time there.

I had take-out lunch from Rossi's original location a few times and always found it very good. This time I went to their new Eastdale location. It's bigger, clean, has more variety and is designed with the look of an upscale artisanal eaterie. Unfortunately there is no inside eating. We ate at sidewalk tables, which are much too close to the passing traffic for my comfort. The sandwiches were large and for the most part very fresh (the arugula on one was soggy). The prices reflect the new location but I don't feel they're excessive, given the portion sizes.

Incredible food! Best sandwiches I've ever had. Been to the newer location both times. Actually my brother and I came all the way from Albany NY just for their lunch thanks to a coworker who did the same earlier. Got the Number Four, didn't know until after that it's their best seller. Aptly named, as it got 4 out of 4 stars from me. Can't wait to try other ones for the many visits to come.
Be the first to ReplyUsed to be amazing, now it's expensive and disappointing.
What used to be an excellent Italian Deli is now a disaster. The jacked the prices up dramatically (about 40%), add an operations charge (no explanation of that that means). The number 4 sandwich, a classic from them, is now so salty you spit it out. The eliminated many of the choices for a sandwich that feeds more than one person. Two people getting one sandwich each with all the charges, tax and if you wanted a soda with them you're looking at $40. What a shame they have now such predatory pricing. They just got downright greedy and ruined a good thing. A classic example of bad management, what a shame.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding Catering Service
We had a lunch catered by Rossi’s and they were outstanding. They weren’t even open the day we picked up the lunch meal. They were very professional and timely with the whole experience and the food was fantastic. I would recommend their catering service to everyone. They have a large menu to choose from and pricing is very reasonable.
Be the first to ReplyA taste of Italy
Like being in Italy! Great selection of panini, as well as pasta, meat and cheese. All of our panini were excellent. They also have prepared sauces, arancini, and raviolis.

Amazing experience ! The food is excellent and fresh! The location is good, you can seat outside and eat !
Be the first to ReplyJust as delicious as 10 years ago
Quality has not been sacrificed at the original on Clover street for the panini's. Drove over an hour out of our way to get these since they are the best panini's we have ever had. Still as good as when I went to Marist!!!

I have frequented Rossi’s many times. I also had an event at my home and ordered food months in advance for delivery. The owner dropped off the food and gave careful directions on how to warm everything. He is a kind, and a down to earth person who cares about his food and customers. He wants to do right by everyone. The catering menu is expansive, from appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. The event was fabulous. To this day family still comment on how good the food was I ordered dinner for 4 last night, we ordered 4 dinners and two salads. We have plenty of food for tonight’s dinner as well. Everything was delicious, my favorite is the eggplant parmigiana. The salads are delicious as-well. The serving sizes are plentiful. At the Eastdale location in Poughkeepsie I was able to order and pay online. Everything is so easy and efficient, as my husband put it “ a well oiled machine.” I would highly recommend Rossi’s.
Be the first to ReplyDon't get arancini, they are tiny, dry and I was overcharged besides!
This is strictly about the arancini. The menu said the price was 6.99 for 5. Ordered them and a panini (which was over salted but still good). Got then home, they were TINY, dry and when I looked at receipt they had charged me 8.49! So check your receipt before leaving the store.
Be the first to ReplyRossi's Very Disappointing
Rossi's was always the best Italian food that I always ordered from. I recently ordered for Christmas. Lasagna tray and Fried Ravioli. So dsiapptointed. The Lagagna had no sauce. It was meat, nooldes and cheese. It was so disappointing. And the sauce and fried ravioli had no taste and the ravioli was hard. Rossi's is expanding and their food quality is suffering. I will no longer order from them. They were such a disappointment for my Christmas Dinner I had for my Family. Rossi's, you just lost a customer and perhaps others as my Family witness such a disappointed dinner.
Be the first to ReplyAMAZING!!
The best food you could ever hope for!! This famous family owned deli is 5 star and the heart of the Hudson Valley. They have classic recipes that have been around forever. Generations of flavor will leave you satisfied. The sides of mac&cheese are hearty and a large portion. Chicken parm and eggplant parm sandwiches are unbelievable. The bread alone is heavenly!
Be the first to Replyan Old World vibe with friendly people and fresh sandwiches
Went to Rosticceria Rossi & Sons at the Eastdale Village Town Center for the first time today. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I immediately felt welcomed. The interior is clean and modern yet has an Old World vibe. The sandwiches were fresh and generous. Will be back very soon to work my way through that fun menu

The Number Four Small Focaccia, The Import Mix Small Focaccia and The Delmonico Semolina. Liked them all but I think I liked the Delmonico’s on Semolina best. Explored Poughkeepsie a bit. The “Little Italy” section was sad. Wouldn’t mind hitting a bakery next time I'm ever again Poughkeepsie. La Delilioza & Gisselle’s looked promising.
Be the first to ReplyHorrible
Ordered over $150.00 of food. 2 eggplant dishes, one small chicken parmigiana, one Rossi salad and mozzarella. The eggplant dishes were not cooked, just layered. The salad was horrible, even had the end of the romaine in it. Service was disgraceful. After ordering a platter last Christmas and paid over $100 and receive no more than $25 of meat and cheese, I don’t know why I went back. We will not be going back. This place has changed for the worst since the son took over. What a shame.
Be the first to ReplyFriendly delicious expectations were definitely met!! I plan on going back every time I'm in the Poughkeepsie area.
Muffuletta sandwich on gluten free bread was extraordinary good!! I can't wait to go back! This deli exceeded my expectations. The focaccia bread was enough for three meals and the sandwich was so fresh and delicious. The best Italian deli sandwich ever. The staff is super friendly. You will not be disappointed!

What a delightful treat. Being gluten-free they had their own gluten-free bread that was delicious. The sandwiches were huge and the meats were incredible. We sat outside and picnic and truly enjoyed the experience
Be the first to ReplySuper super large sandwiches.
Super super large sandwiches. They come in small and large ($13/$16). The large is more like 2-4 sandwiches. We had it for dinner the first night and lunch the next day. The bread was excellent and the focaccia in the store looked awesome but we didn’t try it. Everything is fresh and they’re busy so give them like 20-25 minutes to get your food ready.
Be the first to ReplyDon't get the Easter Bread!
Don't get the Easter Bread.. I paid 19.99 plus 20% tip for an average size Easter bread. But I figured since it was from Rossi's it would be great,, but no! It was inedible. It was dry as dust and unbelievable salty. I kept the eggs but threw out the bread. I am giving 2 stars because the rest of my order (paninis) were what I've come to expect, pretty good and generous portions. However this put me off so I won't be back.
Be the first to ReplyPricey and Not Amazing
Not impressed at all. Food is below average, I definitely wouldn't give this deli a 5 star rating. I've had better Italian food elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyYummy!
I am not sure why a previous reviewer complained so much about the place, but I guess I am thankfull to that person. I was able to call the deli by phone the day before, spoke to them about walk-in orders, available seating. The day of my trip I did stop by at Rossi's and ordered one of their wonderful paninis. The service was pleasant, they even rushed my order because I was running a little late. The $16 sandwich was huge and easily fed two hungry souls and kept us full for many hours. If I didn't live so far I'd go back to try their other specialities.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful lunch
We sat outside and enjoyed our truly delicious sandwiches. The Mediterranean, Quatro Falso, Prosciutto & Mozzare, Pork & Rabe. It's s challenging time to run a restaurant, but they're doing their best. The food was delicious, satisfying, and OMG generous. We also bought a foccocia slab to go. Another amazingly genetics and delicious selection. There's a good reason they are #1 in Poughkeepsie.
