A Very Disappointing Experience
Had lunch on Sunday, Oct 22. Beautiful decor. Attentive service. Very disappointing food. Ordered kung pao chicken and ginger prawn noodles. The chicken was insipid. It had no character, no distinct flavor. Iโve had better at cheaper price at a local Chinese eatery. The noodles were mushy, overcooked, also lacking in flavor. Portions tend to be small. Kung pao chicken is listed on the menu under the label Large Plates, but nothing of the sort. Ultimately, portion wouldnโt matter if the flavors were memorable. They werenโt. Donโt plan to return. The kitchen staff needs to do a lot of soul searching and deliver dishes that truly exemplify what the restaurant claims to be. As it now stands, itโs an overpriced, worse than run of the mill place.

Friendly professional service from everyone, hostess to servers. The pear cocktail was extremely delicious!!! Hoping that stays on menu for a long time so I can order next time I go there. Fish was fresh & perfectly prepared. This restaurant is on the pricey side but the ingredients are high quality so well worth it. Everyone in group loved their cocktails and each of their dishes. Diverse menu in terms of Asian food as well as more Americanized meat offerings. This place is always busy & it's no wonder.

Trendy spot, and very good food. Popular with the beautiful crowd, make a reservation as crowded at lunch.
Be the first to ReplyPretty Good.
We started with garlic noodles and shrimp, very good. Then we had Lobster Dumplings, Crawfish Eggrolls, Pork Bao Buns, all very good. For dessert my wife had beignets, which she loved and I had chocolate hazelnut mousse. In my opinion, their desserts are the weakest area. Service was very good. Iced tea was weird, its like they tried to add some kind of flavoring, but it doesn't really work.

We have eaten at Anqi on prior trips to SoCal and have always been very pleased. This visit was not quite up to the same standard. Granted it was during Lunar New Year celebrations, so the restaurant was very busy. Two of us split garlic rice, chicken wings, truffle sashimi and salt & pepper calamari. The wings and garlic rice were a waste of $36; the sashimi and calamari at $38 combined were seriously good. The truffle sashimi in particular was a standout. If the rice and wings had been up to the caliber of the other two dishes, it would have been worth the $110 (pre-tip) cost.

We had lunch here early this week with friends. We have already tried their restaurant in Beverly hills. For starters, we had calamari which was cruchy and comes with an amazing dip. We ordered the famous AnQi Garlic Noodles and it was good as expected that we ordered another one same with the AnQi garlic rice which matched well with the Shaken beef (we ordered family size for sharing). This is really tasty. We also ordered the butter fish which came with black rice. Service was okey. We were seated right away. Although it took awhile for our orders to be taken. I had to call the serverโs attention. The restaurant is nice and classy. I think price may be cheaper for lunch, though Iโm not sure. I just know we paid more in the past for our dinner in Beverly hills. Would definitely comeback.

Went for dinner & hate to give an average review. Time is limited, Iโm a foodie so try to spend time with that in mind. Had the truffle sashimi, wild mushroom phyllo, butter fish & roasted cauliflower. The cauliflower was good, wild mushroom was only ok. The butter fish was nice just had incredible sea bass or dover sole, close to the same price but better. Probably should have tried the garlic noodles. The service was very good & could tell mgmt very much cared which means much. I may revisit for the garlic noodles to give it another try.

My wife and I had Champagne with three delicious dishes. First the Trio Ceviche, Tambo Tacos and finished with Truffle Sashimi. Great service in a beautiful restaurant.

Beautiful interior that takes you away from the real world. Food was great just on the small side. We shared 2 small plates. Service was excellent. Prices are high for portion size but not a deal breaker.

I am so disappointed in the management and ownership of this restaurant. I was very happy to win a gift certificate for $250 that expires today 10/15/20 after several attempts of leaving messages for the past 3 weeks with their voice mail, email and management ... Abner, Vivian (who said she would call me back twice) and Peter through Mary Ann who has been there forever. They decided not to extend the expiration date. Every other establishment that I have certificates for have extended it due to covid. I finally got a hold of Abner and they offered $100 NO THANK YOU you are all completely unprofessional for not returning my calls or email. Good Day you will never be a suggested fine dining restaurant for my friends!!!!!
