“Worth the Wait – Americano is a Mumbai Gem!”
Americano, Mumbai – Simply Outstanding! Dining at Americano was an absolute delight – truly worth the wait! We managed to get in for lunch, and every dish was exceptional. The baked ricotta, lamb, pizza, and tiramisu were all standouts – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The cocktails were fabulous, and the waitstaff attentive and professional, making the experience even more enjoyable. Be prepared: if you don’t book in advance, the queues can be long – but trust me, the food makes every minute worthwhile. Americano is a must-visit in Mumbai and easily one of the city’s most exciting dining spots. Highly recommended!
All about the food
So we ordered foccacia n their house special pasta I can’t remember the name , pink panther pizza , duck ravioli, torte for dessert and tiramisu I like the dark choc cake with gelato a lot !! Service was quick and cocktails were tasty . I would definitely visit again to try some more dishes
Fantastic Food and Service
Recommended from several sources, Americano certainly lived up to its reputation in my experience. Extremely accommodating in fitting me in at short notice, and more crucially, a wonderful food and service experience. All the staff, from the greeter on the door, through bar and food service, were polished, informed, attentive and impeccably polite. The menu, described as casual fine dining, is an appealing mix of fusion sharing plates, pizza, pasta, meat/fish and veggie dishes. Food was superb - each of my dishes, tasty, refined and well presented. Americano could readily match upscale restaurants in London, New York etc. I had truff puffs to kick off with, followed by grilled snapper and shaved sprouts. Scrumptious! Terrific cocktail list and wine offer, both local and international. Americano is located in the arty Kala Ghoda neighbourhood, one of the most attractive and hip parts of Mumbai. It has a buzzing, noisy, well heeled, in-crowd vibe, without pretension. I loved it. Quite a lot of the seating is counter style, around the happening bar. Alongside 'The Table', and 'Loya', it was the culinary highlight of my week in wonderful Mumbai. Very Highly recommended.
Great good but unsure of Hygiene
Good food, great presentation, excellent taste but unsure of the quality and hygiene, as two of us, who also had their filtered water took to severe food poisoning just within hours of the meal.

The best meal I've had in Bombay
You would have to live in a hole to give Americano anything other than 5/5. Reading some of the reviews on here is mind-numbingly depressing. I've eaten all around the world and Americano competes with any restaurant anywhere. Decor, staff, and of course food. There are too many insanely brilliant dishes to name but we love the corn ribs, crab mac & cheese, tenderloin, and pizza the best, but there is much much more. The portions are not massive but not tiny either: they value quality over quantity. It's not cheap but it's actually a bargain considering you're talking a top 5 restaurant in a city of 20 million people. If you've been you know, but if you haven't yet, you'll absolutely love their approach to continental and Western food. And ignore the reviews from people who have apparently never eaten outside of the house before yet are ready to share their profound wisdom.

The 2 stars where for the door staff who ushered me in and beckoned my taxi for me to leave. Single white female diner nobody asked me at any point if I would like to order a drink. Bad I wanted to order a dish that on your website dose not state 45 minute wait but on the hard menu it does. Bad Charred Brussel sprouts? Bad ************** How about minute, over salted, cold and devoid of taste? Celery and apple salad The julienne of apple was not crisp (so precut and soaked) and the celery unrecognisable ( I thought it was grapes) Bad If you cannot source quality ingredients do not put them on the menu The restauant was mostly empty and after eating the food I am not surprised The tables for 2 are next to 1. The service station 2. The way to the toilets 3. The pass so none are relaxing. Bad The Signature dish of Vegetable lasagne was like mush - no defitinition of texture in the layers. Bad I asked for the dishes to be served together - they were not . Bad I had asked friend of mine who was a chef to dine with me, his shift changed so he could not make it - thank goodness I would have been embarrassed. I wanted to ask a wonderful Bombayite who has hosted me several times she was busy thank goodness I would have been embrassed to bring her here. This place is all hype and short on delivery. I woud not recommend there are so many better places in Mumbai I braved the Mumbai monsoon to eat at this restaurant and frankly I wish I had stayed at home.
Great food, good music and vibe, great attitude
Chef Alex does an amazing job. The food is outstanding, we've been there over 5 times in a year and it is one of our favourite restaurants to go to. The ambience is great and the staff is very warm and welcoming. The place has a relaxed and comfortable feel. Would love to have their burgers which they have taken off their menu.
Going to Americano is like coming home and seeing friends and family
The atmosphere is so amazing, and I was always welcomed as part of the family. I (as a Swiss guy who is not even from Bombay) can honestly say that Americano is 1 of the top 3 Bars in the world I have been to! Govind, Varun and Vijay rock the bar and the drinks are incredible (try bee sting ;) and Abhishek, Ram and Manika take care of all your wishes. The food that the chef (Alex) has created is an extraordinary menu of classic dishes with a small twist. The interior design is also very tasteful and even includes Alexander Calder art piece. Truly a must-go to if you ever get the chance to.
Good vibes, fun times, excellent food
With a group of friends we had a superbly fun night in Americano. All the salads, pastas and deserts were mouthwateringly tasty, and service was helpful. After finishing our meal we kept enjoying the broad variety of cocktails at the bar. Special shout-out to the Torta Tenerina 2.0, this dark chocolate cake has appeared in my day dreams ever since our visit. The venue is compact, so make sure to make a reservation!

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* EternalAnt36, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at Americano Mumbai to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Americano Mumbai!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
