Great place for a get together or a full event.
Nice atmosphere and people. They had a nice selection of both food and libations.
Be the first to ReplyThe place was cute and had DJ's playing some chill music
The place was cute and had DJ's playing some chill music but the food left something to be desired! We weren't given enough bread for the charcuterie board with 3 meats and cheeses we ordered, got 3 "slices" of bread that wasn't even cut all the way through for a table of 4 people. I'm sorry, but how could the waitress not notice that before bringing it over? Our water bottle was empty and I had to ask twice for the waitress to fill it because she apparently forgot the first time I asked (even though she'd been to the table a couple times and should have noticed it was empty). The pork ragu sliders were pretty much an overrated sloppy joe. Totally not what we were expecting and there was WAYYY more bun than actual pork ragu which ended up being mostly tomato sauce with a sprinkling of pork. The wings were burned and I mean BURNED, not flavorfully charred, and being burned made the rosemary taste weird. The fried calamari was soggy and some of the calamari inside was not cooked well. The couple good things worth mentioning were the truffle fries were whcih were tasty and so was the charcuterie board especially when we finally got more bread.I also stated I had 2 birthdays at my table and although the hostess acknowledged it when we arrived, most places gave us a little treat for the table but not at Ainslie. Oh and its important for me to mention their slick ass tipping system. The tips go: 30%, 25% and 20%. Im sorry but the service barely deserved 15% although I still tipped 20% BUT SERIOUSLY it seems like they are trying to scam you to press 30%!Overall, It was OK but I won't be back!

Rustic Italian restaurant/patio bar with acceptable cocktail prices heavy on alcohol and a great open ambiance best served for bringing together a large group during a special event. $14 a drink. 4.25/5 stars as a night bar.
Be the first to ReplyReally phenomenal food + bottomless brunch.
We had a party of 10 and they were pretty flexible about adding and taking away people with their family style menu. You pick 3 appetizers and 3 entrees for the party, and the food was way more than we could eat.The only issue here was that there were few hidden fees. We had a party of 10, and bottomless brunch was advertised as $38/pp family style. We substituted an appetizer that was an additional $3/pp, bringing the total to $41/pp. After a 20% tip/gratuity and tax, this should have come out to roughly $53/pp, but they had a few fees that made it more than $60/pp.Not the biggest deal! But it should have been told to us upfront and explicitly.
Be the first to ReplyThe venue looks wise and ambiance is great.
Trendy, vibey, modern. The food though:Apps we tried the artichoke bruschetta and arancini balls:-bruschetta was decent, we appreciated the touch of truffle-arancini balls were decent but not like some sort of Sicilian experience. I liked the Tomato dipping sauce with it.Now onto the mains:We got the penne Al vodka. There was nothing spectacular about it. It was not creamy. The penne wasn't special. It is as below average. I sent it back. The butternut squash ravioli. I've had butternut squash ravioli in the past, especially with crispy sage which is a banging combination. This was just mediocre. Dessert: they actually gave us the tiramisu -- it wasn't bad. It also wasn't mind blowing tiramisu. As my friend at dinner said--Ainslie... more like Aintit, cause this ain't it

Be the first to ReplyDefinitely a nice spot! A very large group of us came here
Definitely a nice spot! A very large group of us came here to celebrate a birthday. The menu was prix fixed do to the large group. However the bday girl did get to pick what items she wanted for her prix fixed brunch. The food was all really good!! The faves were deff the bruschetta, meatballs, pita, pizza, French toast wasn't my fave but everyone else really liked it. The service started a little slow, but once things got going they were quick at refilling the bottomless drinks and bringing out the food. FYI - if you're in the back area where all the large groups are beware it's freezing back there. Food for large groups is served family style Everyone in your party has to be there in order to get seated Music they play is it's a lot of pop and popular songs

Be the first to Replyfun bottlmonless brunch spot for a group that wants to get
fun bottlmonless brunch spot for a group that wants to get rowdy -- this space is so gorgeous and the DJ is so fun!! all the tables around us were friendly and we sang happy bday to the birthday people in each group -- super fun atmosphere I will say i thought the service was excellent but we had to ask for more drinks a few times and i didn't love that they are premixed pitchers of spiked ice tea, mimosa, and bloody mary but still, food was excellent & had a great time we got arancini, salad, burrata for appetizers (since large groups get family style) and for the main we had pancakes, french toast and margarita pizza
Be the first to ReplyFood was pretty good, however not the best.
Service was also sufficient. They did play some pretty good music, but it was so loud and they put my party right next to one of the (many) speakers so our time was a bit unpleasant. I could not hear a single word anyone at my table was saying. It was kind of like having dinner alone at a table of 6 people.
Be the first to ReplyCame to brunch for the bottomless deal ($28 for bottomless
Came to brunch for the bottomless deal ($28 for bottomless and an entree- a steal!)I ordered the French toast and it was delicious. That plus the bottomless was perfect. My friends and I had a really good time. The restaurant itself has really good music and good vibes for brunch. Def recommend if you're in BK!
Be the first to ReplyGreat deal for bottomless brunch and entrees, easy
Great deal for bottomless brunch and entrees, easy reservation process! + loved the ambience, the place is crowded but beautiful, there is plenty of seating+ food came out quick and portions were great for the price+ attentive staff as the drinks were constantly being refilled LOVE THAT + ended up chatting away but never felt rushed ** would return just bc their bottomless deals are actually worth it

Went to brunch yesterday with my friend and this place is amazing! Looks great inside, though we were seated outside on the patio. Waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. We did the unlimited drinks for 1.5 hours but we arrived an hour before brunch ended. Waiter still honored the time and gave us a pitcher for the rest of the time. Wanted pizza and the one the waiter recommended tasted amazing. My friend got a pretty good portion of pasta. $28 for an entree and almost 2 hours of drinks is amazing! I would def recommend and can't wait to go back and try their dinner menu. 10/10
Be the first to Replyuh oh.
.. ainslie was a disappointment. although the inside is super cute with the brick and the plants, the food just doesn't hold up. the burger was okay, but under seasoned and over cooked. fries are admittedly hard to mess up. this ricotta toast situation was called "ricotta bruschetta" but there was no sign of tomato and the single slice of bread was $13 (like come on guys). service wasn't the best, and I am left disappointed. I feel like this menu needs a little more love, and maybe then the food quality will live up to the aesthetic quality. I hate to leave a bad review, I'm not picky, but this restaurant missed the mark.

The food was amazing and our server was nice too, however, the person who took our plate just took it without asking anything while we were still finishing my plate. He should have asked me if I was done with my dish, and I could say not yet....
Be the first to ReplyWhere do I start.
..... the apps were really good , the drinks were really good the ambience was great . The main thing I didn't like about this spot was, upon arrival we were told we cant order stuff off the menu because are party was to large . Whooo in the world do you think you are telling me I can't order what I want. My money being spent I should order what I want . This is huge a huge pizza spot with over priced food.
Be the first to ReplyReally, a 3.
5 star review. My friend and I went today for brunch here today, exclaiming how cute this place is. Photo shoot inspiring. At 1130 in the morning, there were people there, but not crowded at all. The food we received was, really, very good. The burrata was in all its creamy glory, making each bite the perfect bite of cheese, basil, and tomato. My friend enjoyed her cacio e pepe and my eggs in purgatory were delicious, with just the right amount of spice. I do wish that they came with the bread that came with the burrata. How do you serve a dish like that with nothing to sop up the flavorful sauce? The $3 multigrain toast I received when I asked for bread did not do the dish justice, even though I love a good multigrain toast. The downside? Our waiter. When we returned to our table after our mini photo shoot, we got to business ordering. He didn't seem to clear when we asked about the bottomless brunch. Some places require all patrons to order bottomless brunch in order to get the deal. He made it seem that, while we both didn't need to order it that way, I'd only get one glass of my drink of choice. Very confusing, because had we insisted on bottomless brunch, my friend and I would've had different drinks anyway, so we couldn't get a carafe for the table like the table of 4 next to us did. Right? I'm still not sure. Anyway, the iced tea cocktail that my friend said she did not want was the first to show up at the table and remained there the entire time. No biggie, it is what it is. We were enjoying our food very much and were feeling like fatties so when the waiter came to see if my friend wanted another, she declined, but asked for a seltzer and we said that we also wanted to order the bosciola pizza. He confirmed what I said and nothing ever came to our table. No seltzer, no pizza. He did stop and chat/flirt with the increasingly drunk girls at the next table and spent some time dancing behind the bar (my friend informed me of this). Finally we resolved to not getting our food but we were fine at this point, because, you know, hunger fades after a certain amount of time. I catch our waiter's eye to ask for the check and he comes over with the little credit card machine and tells me my total. I don't think I've ever not received a bill at a restaurant. I wanted to make sure we didn't get charged for the food we didn't receive, so I asked for a bill to double check. Upon receiving thw bill, I did mention to him that, you know, we ordered a seltzer and the bosciola pizza and he was totally unphased. Just kinda went, oh the pizza. Not even with a hint of remorse, like he couldn't be bothered. What really got me though, was the hovering over my shoulder, watching me decide on how much to tip. I could be wrong but the tip suggestions on the machine were higher than what was produced on the bill. I was trying to figure out if what I had in cash would suffice for tip. Due to my hesitation, he then informed me of how I was to choose one of the options to put a tip! Don't do that. I'm pretty sure people don't like their waiters watching them put a tip and then explaining how to do so when it's completely clear on the screen. I felt so flustered that I ended giving way over 20% tip, which we appeased ourselves by saying that it also go to back of the house. So if management is reading this, please train your waitstaff to not hover over their customer's shoulders, watching them tip. Where was this attentiveness when I ordered more food?
Be the first to ReplyFood is absolutely delicious and drink are as well.
Most of all the service is impeccable. Alyssa, the bartender is so gracious and sweet. Although she can be very busy she will notify you of what's next , every step of the way! She provides great service, food recommendations and drinks! Overall, great atmosphere and good!
Be the first to ReplyWent here for a friend's birthday brunch and really enjoyed
Went here for a friend's birthday brunch and really enjoyed Ainslie. It's a cute spot with a ton of seating room. If you're looking to host a group, I highly suggest this placeBecause we had a big group, our menu was family-style. It was definitely for the best and cut down on having to chooseFor drinks, we had the bottomless mimosa and bottomless vodka iced tea. My preference was the mimosa because the iced tea tasted like just sugar and vodka. There wasn't enough of the "tea" taste in thereFor food, we had- Margherita Pizza - Delicious, not really a breakfast item, but it's good pizza- Arancini - everyone loves a good rice ball, right? I feel like these are getting added more and more to menus in NYC- Cesar Salad - Decent, easy to make- Meatballs - I could eat these over and over- Eggs in Purgatory - This was SO good. Just the right amount of heat and I loved the addition of polenta- French Toast - Delicious, served with strawberriesSolid meal. I'd love to come back and try their regular menu
Be the first to ReplyBy far one of the most disappointing experiences I've had
By far one of the most disappointing experiences I've had at a restaurant in Brooklyn. Pros:Ainslie has the most beautiful indoor as well as outdoor dining area set up. Their garden in the back is so nice and private and perfect to host gatherings with friends. They also have a really nice wine selection and cocktail list. Overall ambience and drinks of the restaurant were good and the only reason I'm not giving this place a 1 star. The Cons:The restaurant was not super crowded and my party of 3 was accommodated pretty easily. We ordered two Pizza's and a house made gnocchi.I am not kidding when I say 10 to 15 minutes after we ordered, our "fresh" pizzas came out as well as the gnocchi. First off all of our dishes were cold. The pizza still had bits of raw dough that left us shocked and confused. Trying to give this place the benefit of doubt we tried the Gnocchi and man... this has got to be the worst gnocchi I've ever had. The gnocchi shown in the pictures below was exactly how they came out. Not only was the dish lukewarm to borderline cold. Not one gnocchi was cooked right. It looked as if the chef took a bite or each gnocchi and put it back on the plate. The mozzarella balls they put on the plate was more like gnocchi than the actual pasta itself. Our server never checked back with us and we couldn't even find someone in charge to complain. The only time the server came by was at the end of our meal when we were fed up and ready to go.With such an amazing decorum this was such a lackluster experience. This restaurant has so much potential and I hope the kitchen can sharpen up so such a beautiful place doesn't go to waste.
Be the first to ReplyAmbience 10/10, brunch 10/10.
Food was very average but I genuinely would come back for The overall vibe. Bottomless brunch was soo affordable and the servers were quick to refill. I think I even stayed a little past the 90 min! Such a cute spot
Be the first to ReplyVery fun spot in Brooklyn for brews and great cocktails.
Service was superior, and the beer garden in the back is spacious. The decor is very well done.We had a company event here for 16 folks or so and it was flawless. Food is decent as well - flatbread was delicious and the meatballs were cooked well.
Be the first to ReplyBad food and terrible service.
We arrived on time for our reservation, and they sat us 20 minutes late. Then we didn't see a waited for another 15. He made us put in all our orders at once, and then took forever to bring out the bottomless drinks. We paid for bottomless and they only refilled us once! I think they need more people on staff or to take on less reservations, because we barely saw the waiter except for those two times. At the end they tried to rush us out, and stopped serving us bottomless early. They said our time was up in accordance with our reservation time, and we had to argue that we weren't even seated let alone served until long past that.Food was also just bad. The mimosas were watered down, and the vodka sauce pasta was gross.

Such a great brunch spot and deal for the bottomless brunch ! The food was super yummy and the ambience was so beautiful ย the service was amazing too, everyone from the hostesses to our waitress was very nice and quick even though it was very busy for brunch
Be the first to ReplyWe made a reservation for 6 at Ainslie for happy hour for 6
We made a reservation for 6 at Ainslie for happy hour for 6 people. We ended up being 8 people and we got to the reservation approximately 18 minutes early (would you rather us have been late?) We also would've been FINE sitting at the bar with a larger number. We we're greeted by a woman in a tacky orange sweater with a foul attitude. She informed us that 1. we were too early, 2. she questioned if we actually have a reservation (why would we lie) 3. that we could not be accommodated because they were going to be soo busy tonight (doubtful with those attitudes), although we had a reservation. She was overly rude, unwelcoming and offensive. I feel personally victimized by her tone and words. Proceed with caution, the staff ruined it for us and probably will for you too.
