Lovely place, lovely people
What a great find ! Cheryl runs this warm, cheery, friendly place. Endless smiles, good range of teas, coffees and food, and great value. We'll be back - and soon. Thanks, Cheryl.

Found this little gem while waiting for my daughter who was having an interview at a nearby business. Probably the best cheese and tomato toastie I have ever had in 59 years of being an adult. Absolutely delicious, not to mention brilliant value for money. Coffee was great and the two lovely ladies doing the service were Efficient and really friendly. This may read like a review written by a friend, not so, although if my daughter gets the job nearby I will become a permanent fixture in this wonderful eatery and, hopefully, become a friend. Joyful visit.

Delicious toasted sandwich, super service, nice warm ambiance. Would come back again in the future. Seems very popular in a good way.

Lovely cosy, small coffee / lunch cafe typically open until 3pm. Anthesis of the garish Hooters chain next door. Fresh home baked cakes, great toasties, warm Liverpool welcome Dog friendly

While walking around the block to pass some time waiting for the Western Approaches Museum to open we discovered this place. Saw that it was highly rated on Trip Advisor so came back later after our visit to the museum. We were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed by Cheryl and sat down at a table in the centre of the room. Very impressed by our coffees, both excellent and served in proper cups with saucers. Unfortunately we weren’t hungry so didn’t try the cakes, but will be back to try them on another occasion. Delightful.

I’ve come here several times now and the coffee and cake is just exceptional. My favourite is the Norwegian almond cake it is just out of this world! My wife s quite fussy but fell in love with the carrot cake and it’s the first thing she orders. If you want something special you’ve got to come here. Cheryl is super accommodating and really friendly

Little hidden gem. We nipped in for coffee and cake. I had a latte and a slice of carrot cake, both were excellent. The lady that served us was great, so welcoming, lovely and warm. Great little coffee shop.

You’ll get a very warm welcome at this lovely little coffee shop. There is a tempting range of beautiful cakes on the counter and they’re served in huge slices. The coffee is great too and the prices are excellent value. It’s conveniently situated opposite James Street station, a block back from the Three Graces and is well worth seeking out.

Dropped in to try the "Best coffee in Liverpool" and was not disappointed! Fantastic coffee in a really relaxed atmosphere. We were offered a glass of lemon water with our coffee. Books around the cafe for customers to view and get inspiration from during their city break. Had a lovely chat with Cheryl about Liverpool and her trip to Yorkshire. We were on put last morning, but will definitely be back next time we visit Liverpool!

Discovered this gem of a place on a nostalgia visit to my erstwhile hometown, where I was born and brought up - made me realise how much I miss the ambience of this special city! Warm and friendly owners offering efficient, welcoming service as well as brilliant coffee at a good price in quirky, cosy surroundings. Just a stone's throw from the Town Hall and the Ferry Terminal but easy to miss - so look out for it on Water Street. Highly recommended!
