Very bad experience
Bad experience for what we ordered, fried calamari and prawns that seemed like plastic without any flavour, and prawn fettuccine of bad taste, tiramisu not very wet and the taste of the coffee was very light, two glasses of prosecco for the whole thing 200 dollars For what we paid we had different expectations!

If I could have given the 208 no stars I would have. Great location but we were refused a call air and shrimp apetiser because we advised them that we were not fans of โbell peppersโ and the shrimp were marinated in Chilli flakes! Now we are grown ups and we know that bell peppers disagree with us. WE ARE NOT ALLERGIC. we tried to tell them this. 5 times but this bully advised us that he would not serve the apetiser to us so we left. What happened then was bizzare bc THEY cancelled our reservation, clearly so that we could not complain through the booking company. It may be a good spot but truly adults need to be treated as such. I was appalled by the attitude of the staff.

Wonderful and fast service. Food was amazing. Had the massive prawns and Bolognese. Tasty. Would recommend sitting outside at around 4om and let the sun go down and the lights go on. Great for people watching.

Reserved a table for 3 through OpenTable and had a wonderful dinner outside. Perfect time of year with gorgeous holiday decorations and an amazing jazz quartet with a wonderful female singer featuring holiday music. It was a good meal in a perfect setting during the holidays. Memorable evening that I highly recommend to others. Excellent food and managers that were actively engaged in every aspect of the service. Bravo!

I, my wife and two teenagers had lunch at this restaurant. Expensive, with adequate service and only average cuisine. Wouldn't go back!

Terrible, the restaurant manager mistreats the staff in front of the diners, super grotesque, the guy, the food is not bad, but for the price and the terrible experience, it is not worth it. We paid a very high, very high bill and they do not wait for you to have the coffee to get you out Because they already want the table, if you pay very expensively, you expect good service and at least enjoy the food calmly and the dessert with coffee. Sadly not recommended
Be the first to ReplyEnjoyed but wonโt be back due to the fact it isnโt right. They donโt need to surprise you with the bill.
Everything was wonderful with the exception of the nickel and dime you on bread and butter ($ 18 and when they asked if you wanted a refill who knew it was another $6) and water too!! We knew the prices going in so no need to charge for those add-ons that should be complimentary to your high priced menu.

The food was good but the service was not. Whatever we asked the waiter, he didn't know and kept going back and forth to ask the chef, manager or someone else. It took us 1/2 hour to order. Once we placed the order, it took a very long time for the food to come and everything came out cold. We ordered their hamburger medium well which came out medium rare instead. The green salad that came with the hamburger was soggy and spoiled at part, and when we complained, the manager came over and just comped us for the fries. Which we were ok even though I expected him to comp the desert or something else for us. Then we ordered coffee and desert. And coffees came out cold and the creamer was expired. They changed it and brought milk instead of cream and the waiter said they don't have cream anymore. So I drank my coffee black. Also years ago they offered VIP Cards for customers who came to the restaurant regularly to get 20% off the bill. I asked the waiter to do it and he said he has to talk to the manager, but he never responded or returned to our table again. So disappointing. Come on we are in a good restaurant in the greatest area of Beverly Hills!!! It's sad to see this place like this. I am sure they are not pro returned customers since there are a lot of tourists at this place. The manager was ignorant.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food. Care of the upsell
Great location and great food. Just a couple of things. First asked if we wanted bread. Agreed. Then asked if we wanted truffle butter with it. Again agreed. Only realised later the truffle butter was $17. ๐คฆ โ๏ธ Second ba service charge of 18% was added which I was happy to pay as the service was excellent but then asked if I wanted to leave a tip Pointed out that 18% was already added on. Pedro advised that the servers only get 5% and the restaurant get 13% of the service charge Surely the restaurant should make their profit on the food prices and the service charge should go to the servers

We had a lovely meal here. Waiters could not have been more accommodating. The food was delicious. The owner, (Iโm guessing - pink jacket, tight jeans) however, added an air of superiority which really got up our nose. Seemed to do nothing but fluff up cushions and realign tables. Was not in the slightest bit friendly until he spotted a gentleman in a Versace tracksuit and bling watch! Shame as it took the edge off our lunch. Would recommend however.
Be the first to ReplyFun outdoor lunch
My husband & I were visiting LA & had lunch there. I had the Salmon Kale Salad. It was the best salad I ever had. The salmon was perfectly done & it tasted delicious & very filling. The service was lovely & every one was very friendly.
Be the first to ReplyI enjoyed the outdoor table
Location was good, staff were prompt, food was not bad (above average). Had an outdoor table, and I enjoyed the atmosphere thoroughly.
Be the first to ReplyHigh price for nothing special
I took me friend there for dinner to celebrate his birthday. Bill was $600, with a tip of close to $200 already imposed on me and included in the bill. The food was nothing special, they never even offered a candle on the cake... I would have been better off to spend a quality time at the Polo Lounge. This was a bad experience
Be the first to ReplyItโs a no for me
I do not understand what justifies the prices here. Our food was good, but not $150-for-lunch-good. First, the positives: 1. We were seated quickly and had a lovely view of the rich people. 2. Our server saw to us quickly and was very friendly and gracious. 3. The Spritz de Provence was quite delicious. Now, the cons: 1. The prices are astronomical for the quality and quantity of food you get. I donโt mind paying $22 for three tiny bite-sized pieces of crispy rice when itโs mind-blowingly amazing, but nothing we ate (vegetarian crispy rice, sesame shrimp, fish & chips) was worth the price we paid. 2. There was a man in a blue suit who looked trรจs important. He stood in the middle of the restaurant with a look like he was quite displeased. He wrote something down on a paper and handed it to a waiter and the whole thing looked like a scene from a movie where the snooty/rich/important man acts well, the part. I thought maybe he was a disgruntled billionaire customer. Turns out he worked there and was maybe a manager or owner? Long story short, he didnโt interact with his customers at all. It was all very rude and pointless behavior to seem important, tbh. 3. There was something floating in my Sprite. If Iโm paying you $22 for exactly five shrimp soaked in some flavorless sauce, Iโd expect my Sprite to come sans mystery meat. 4. The bathroom is a door directly in the middle of the waiter station. You have to squeeze past their open drawers and dodge trays and feel like a nuisance to use the facilities. I understand this restaurant is on Rodeo Dr. and itโs where all the rich and important spend their money, but if they think theyโre paying for quality, theyโre not very savvy. Iโd have rather eaten at the Jimmy Johnโs we passed on our way to this overpriced, overhyped restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyNice but not exceptional
We were here on holiday and wanted to eat at this iconic restaurant for its beautiful location etc. We were lucky enough to be seated on the patio area and the live music was wonderful. However, the food was average and there were more servers than I have ever seen in a restaurant so felt a little hurried as they were constantly at our table. There is only one restroom and as it was occupied a manager attempted to direct me to the basement parking area to use that one. As he didn't have a key to the lift he then let me use the staff restroom. Helpful yes but I do expect better facilities at such a restaurant. Very expensive for what it was. Will not return.

We Ordered the chicken sandwich today for lunch. Had all the right ingredient choices.Chicken, Arugula, tomatoes, Brie, & Aioli on toasted ciabatta. Sounds delicious right? Unfortunately it was all WRONG! They smothered the inside with aioli. Everything covered and oozing out all sides of bread. Yuck! Went and ruined a perfectly good sandwich. I tried to wipe it off- 1/4 cup on my plate. A few bites in, The server came by and asked how everything was. I told him of our disappointment and looking at the inside of the sandwich and mound of aioli on my plate- he agreed. He said I should have told him before I started eating it- haha said he would pass it on to cook and manager. Never offered to correct it or make it right. Thats just bad customer service. They should do much better.

Be the first to ReplyThe 208 Rodeo is A Fantastic Dining Experience!
What a fantastic dining experience at 208 Rodeo. We decided to tour Beverly Hills and take advantage of the unbelievable patio at 208 Rodeo for a romantic lunch. We were greeted warmly and taken to a perfect patio table where we enjoyed a couple drinks and a Trio Dip appetizer before lunch. My wife raved about the Quinoa Bowl and I chose the Vegetarian Burger. The service from Kristina was very attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I think itโs important to point out that the patio of the 208 Rodeo is in the heart of the BH shopping area and across from the iconic Beverly-Wilshire Hotel. This restaurant provides a high end dining experience and patrons should expect the price of the menu to reflect that.
Be the first to ReplyTreated horribly by manager
Day manager for lunch service rudely evicted us while we waited to order our lunch. He plopped the check for $48 for two sparkling water bottles and a coffee and announced the table was for lunch only. I guess they never wanted to ask what we'd like for lunch?
I told him my honest opinion which was that it was super rude to just evict us without asking for our order and he was extremely uninterested in resolving the situation. Weird to make us wait to order lunch and then get mad that we'd waited!
Seems like restaurant needs managers that resolve problems, not create them.
Poor poor poor
Really poor food. The lobster roll is not the lobster roll you would expect, and the taste is really horrible. Then call it something else. Anyone with half a brain knows what a do Lobster roll is. So call it a crab salad with lots of celery or something. Just poor food. Not worth it.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful evening
What a wonderful place for an evening meal. Husband had the salmon, which he said was excellent. I had the penne, which was the best penne Iโve ever had. We shared the bread board. I highly recommend the peach sangria. Service was perfect. Really couldnโt ask for anything more!
Be the first to ReplyGreat restaurant and atmosphere. Nice outdoor lunch location.
Great restaurant and place for outdoor dining at a beautiful spot on Rodeo. I had the chicken sandwich with truffle fries and my husband had what he said was the best salmon he had ever had. Nice wine list too, but can get pricey, can easily spend ~$150+ on lunch, with drinks.
Be the first to ReplyNOT THE FORMER CAFE RODEO BUT VERY GOOD
This is one of my favorite LA restaurants. It's all about the charm and amazing location right on Via Rodeo. It is not, however the former Cafe Rodeo which is now Michael Kors at the Rodeo Dive Hotel. No point ordering takeout though, this is all about sitting outside on a beautiful day and enjoying the experience.
Be the first to ReplyHORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
The female manager has a horrible attitude, horrible customer service, they will charge you $70 dollars for a sauce on the steak that you didn't even asked for.THEY CHARGE YOU EXTRA IF YOU SAY THAT YOU WILL MAKE A BAD REVIEW! Im disgusted with their service!!!!!! Do not go here!

I did not visit the restaurant but for future information is this the former Cafe Rodeo located in the Rodeo Hotel? I loved that restaurant and the food and service was great. I hope it hasn't closed.
