Bocci's On 7th Portland Reviews
I had been years since we had eaten at this restaurant.
It was called Bocci's then. A lot has changed and not for the better. The atmosphere is more pub than nice restaurant. The waitress was wearing cut off Levi's and a logo T shirt. My wife ordered the calamari appetiser which was served barely warm. I ordered the eggplant parmesan. It was cut 1/2" thick, not breaded, with the skin left on. It was very mushy. After three bites I gave up. The bread served was very cake like on the inside and the olive oil for dipping was of a low quality. We won't be back.
Our daughter loves this homey feeling Italian restaurant.
Every time we visit her we go. Good drinks and great food with huge portions! There is always plenty to take home. The story we were told is that a couple of years ago all the servers bought the restaurant and now they are the owners. Fun place go check it out.
Atmosphere: Small and Cozy.
Nice for a date night. Food: We enjoyed most of the food and my girlfriend loved it. Meatballs were excellent, portions were generous, fried mozzarella was fantastic. The chicken parm could have been improved had they butterflied the chicken breast. It was a bit thick but overall good. Price: Prices were reasonable. Wine was well-priced. Service: Excellent service. Anthony made us feel right at home. We would likely return just from the hospitality. Parking: I think it was street parking, but we took an Uber since it was raining even though it was otherwise walkable
Amazing.
A total hole in the wall gem. Best pasta I've had in soooo long. The caprese was amazing as well!

This place is unbelievable.
Every thing from the food & Services were top notch. Anthony, the owner was amazing. I rate them 10 out of 10. I'll give them another visit during a sunny day to experience the outdoor ambiance.

Everything was amazing! The chicken Marsala was superb (and adding alfredo to the side was a great choice). and the bread they bring out just melts in your mouth. I ordered the Tuscan Mojito and it was the best mojito I think I've ever had, and the muddled fresh basil really added a nice touch. The service was excellent. They were super friendly and made excellent recommendations. 12/10 definitely recommend and would go back!

Hidden jewel
Old fashion neighborhood feel. Small, cozy and somewhat intimate with an eclectic atmosphere. The food was fresh and very good, the prices were quite reasonable. We are well traveled people in our late 70s and this little spot is a find
It was very quiet, late on a Sunday when we stopped in.
Our service was fast and friendly and the food is delicious!
Absolutely delicious food.
. for sure next year, but maybe we'll bring in a cooler and eat downstairs at the tournament. The owners are awesome. That's for making our teams weekend!
Consistently great classic Italian food.
The Lasagna is a favorite as is the Mushroom Ravioli and Eggplant Parmesan. The people who run Boccis are welcoming and preach peace, love and pasta. How could you not?
I had an unpleasant experience with Bocci's.
The focaccia bread that came with the meal had a heavily salted exterior but tasteless interior. Their fried mozzarella is also heavily salted and extremely greasy. But the real prize to my first, and last, experience choosing Bocci's on 7th was finding one of the cook/co-owners hairs under the breading of the chicken parm. After reporting my findings, the same co-owner whose hair was found, made a distasteful joke about my concerns and disgust.

Friday 9/22/23 Came across this spot on Yelp when looking at the best reviewed Italian spots in Portland and knew I had to go. I ordered takeout over the phone and was met with easy and friendly service. I got chicken Alfredo and bread pudding while my mom got the chicken parm (They also included house bread for free). The fettucine chicken Alfredo was underwhelming and average. The house bread that was included was okay but nothing special. My mom did not like the chicken parm at all. The bread pudding dessert was by far their best item and would've been perfect with some ice cream. All in all, good service and bread pudding aside the food doesn't deliver the expectations I was hoping for.
We absolutely love Bocci's!!! The food is always amazing,

This place is AMAZING! The service was fantastic, the food was absolutely delicious, and the vibe was pure Portland circa 2018. I had the scampi pomodoro and it was cooked to perfection. The tiramisu was fabulous as well. Do not overlook this gem. You will not be sorry.
Delightful
I live in Portland and this is my favorite restaurant. Anything they do with chicken is amazing. Healthy options available plus old favorites. Nice wine and always good service.
Giving this restaurant it's flowers....... so good!!!
After taking the Portland City Cruise, we were looking for some great food, on our last night in town. After checking online, I came up with this place, as an option, because it was open late. A lot of restaurants, seem to close early, near the downtown area. I was happy to find a restaurant, that stayed open late. It said they were open until 1:00 am. When we got there, it was around 10:30 PM, and we were nicely greeted. The place is small and cozy, with colored mood lighting, at night. Definitely an intimate, and relaxing dining experience. They also had a big, area in the back, that had tables to eat outside. One of the owners, explained to us the menu and options, we were thinking about trying. I was amazed at the prices, as they were very decent. We wanted to try a bit of everything, so we ordered more than we could eat, in one sitting. We tried the chicken parmigiana, lasagna, mushroom raviolis, spaghetti with bolognese sauce, and chicken alfredo. The meal was brought to the table, with a complimentary side of house-made ciabatta bread, served with olive oil & balsamic, for dipping. That bread was amazing! I used it to scrape up any bit of sauce, left behind. When there was no more sauce, to be sopped up, I ate it by itself. We were so surprised, when we found Squirt soda, on the menu. We love Squirt soda, and never see it on any restaurant menus. Let me just say, that whole meal was FIRE! Everything tasted so fresh, and flavorful. You could taste the fresh cream, used to make the alfredo & mushroom ravioli sauce, and alfredo. The owner was so sweet, as he knew how much I liked the bread, so he gave me a loaf to go, on the house. We weren't able to eat all of the food, so it got packed up, and we took it back to the hotel with us. Let me give you an idea, of how good the food was to us. The next day, was our last day in Portland. We checked out of the hotel, around noon. We had to putter around, until we had to go to the airport, about 6:00pm. We literally, had carried the food around with us all day, and a plane ride back home. There was NO WAY, I was throwing that food away. I put it in the fridge, when we made it back to our hometown, and prayed that it would be still good ,(and good for my stomach), when I reheated it. I happily reheated the food, as if we hadn't let it sit out for hours. (Not recommended to eat food that hasn't been refrigerated for hours. I'm crazy like that, and have a stomach of rocks.) That food was still FIRE, and we tore it up! lol That's how good that food was to us. lol Such a nice spot to eat, with amazing food, and great people working there. This will always be the first restaurant I eat at, when visiting Portland. Peace, Love & Pasta! The Squirt Soda lovers, have spoken.
Came here at midnight a little drunk after a show.
Incredible bolognese and spaghetti with meatballs the size of your fist. Cute patio with a porch swing. What more can you want!?
