I cannot eat green or red chillies.
Sal, our waiter, patiently explained my options and then conveyed my restriction to the chef. Heena, the chef, came around later to explain how she had customized the Uttapam. And what a brilliant creation it was. I was especially impressed by the c

We were here for lunch just this afternoon and lunch was a big thumbs down . The chapatis seemed like frozen ones of deep or kawan. Quantity was so less for the price and taste was very average . We may try some other time for dinner and hopefully wi

Pakoras - I liked them, they were sweet and crispy 2. Drunken Pani Puri - we got the non-alcoholic version, I really liked it. It had the green chutney water or teekha paani and some dal in it and it tasted good (I'd love it more if there was t

BEWARE - CONSUMER FRAUD - BEWARE They offer an a la carte menu and they offer a 2- or 3-item menu for slightly more. What they don't tell you anywhere on the menu is that if you order the 2- or 3-item menu, you get a *much* smaller portion (ab
Besharam should be ashamed of exploiting its customers
Highly overpriced for decent Indian food and underwhelming service. The staff is aloof and the owner is rude and arrogant. Besharam seems to cater to non Indians who don’t have a clue about fair pricing for authentic Indian food and service. There

Such delicious food.
Very unique and different than most Indian food I have had. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was really pretty. but mostly the food was outstanding! We got all the chutneys- they were all amazing. The eggplant and dal were out of this
Food great, this time horrible ambiance
This was the 4th time I visited, and previous visits were great. This time (Wed 7pm) they had the worst music playing, LOUD, volume well over the 30+ guests' conversation. Music had a assaultative loud beat, it was like dining in a disco. Request to

Extremely delicious food, though on the pricier side.
Mango Lassi very delicious, malai kofta was slightly spicy. Kachori dumplings were unique, crispy and delicious. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Pathra kadhi was warm and comforting, nostalgic for people who grew up eating it, but it's a
One of the best meals I've had in San Francisco.
We did the tasting menu, which I recommend highly. The food is unusual, interesting, but not weird, and you leave feeling full (unlike some tasting menus). The food was terrific, the service was great. We will be back.

Agree with the other reviewers, it's a really pricey Indian restaurant. Seems like a hype place, and the food is just ok. Everything is vegetarian.
Heena Patel has changed the Indian Fusion Game.
Beautiful representation and even beautiful taste. Drinks, Sweet (Shrikhand Cheesecake ) and everything on the menu is simply must try! Amazing service and Unique Location. Full recommendation!
Amazing India food.
Focus on Gujarati food. Subtle tastes and nice ambience. Recommend tasting menu.
Tried this place for lunch today.
Very expensive place for service, portion size and quality of food. Lunch has very limited menu choices. Presentation of food was very good but I am not a huge fan of modifying food for sake of making it look cool. 25 dollar Pav Bhaji they only serve

I had high expectations after hearing about this restaurant
I had high expectations after hearing about this restaurant from my friends, but unfortunately, this place was a bit of a letdown. An Indian restaurant that charges for chutneys - that's a red flag in my book. Let's start with the positives first.

Did the tasting menu.
Not impressed at all. Will never do it again. Service was good.
Ok food.
Pricey for what it is. I have had much better Gujarati food in the Bay Area at the fraction of the cost. The fusion etc. did not cut it for me. Ambiance and location is good.
Great service and ambiance but the food was just ok imo.
Kachori dumplings and pav baji were super tasty. Paneer and cheesy garlic bread were just alright.
Amazing Indian food.
Every item was very well cooked and delicious. Ambience and customer service was great

1. I love where this is located in an industrial area of SFO far from all the chaos. With good parking spots. 2. Food was good drinks were great, ambiance was nice. But what stood out was the service. Great bartended since we sat in the Bar and fun
Bistro ambience with below average food.
Bombay sandwich was served cold with old toasted bread. The poori chole. Chole were ok but the poori was cold. It looked like they were made and kept in the morning. They add 20% service charge for a party of two without any notice. Disappointing ser
Man, the odds were really in their favor.
A powerful 9.0 on Infatuation. Properly drunk. Super hungry. It should not have been hard to send us home smiling. As some other reviewers have said, everything truly was bland -- either little to no distinctive flavor OR that many dishes shared ver
Super yummy, great decor, friendly service.
Would come back for dinner as the brunch menu is smaller but delicious
all-vegetarian, modern, quite expensive Indian restaurant
The food and service were really good and the ambiance was lovely in this all-vegetarian, modern, quite expensive Indian restaurant with a bar, but the presumptive owner was not nice, which put a damper on the experience. (And I resent what too many
A place not to be missed
One of the most delightful - and delicious - evenings we have had in a long time. Just about everything was excellent ... the staff is warm and welcoming, the atmosphere is unique and fun, and the food was consistently unique and delicious. Highly
Average Venue, Poor Service and Mediocre Food
I am an unabashed chaat aficionado. So, to find a Michelin-starred restaurant featuring chaat is a reason for celebration. We started with Sev Puri, following llp gin-infused Pani Puri and Dahi Vada. In short, the Sev Puri was not quite what i ex

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Besharam San Francisco at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Besharam San Francisco page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* EternalAnt36, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at Besharam San Francisco to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Besharam San Francisco!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
